In the 1/17 Observer, Meltzer said that both the Flair and WMXX DVD's sold closer to 120 000 each rather than the numbers reported in Johnson's above report.

Best episode of Raw in months. Not without huge, glaring faults (why bring in Hodge just to embarass him, for example), but on the whole very good with actual wrestling on the show. Opening six-man was solid, although HBK pissed me off more than usual. Chop chop punch. Punch punch chop. Chop chop superkick. Surprisingly enough, it was Tomko impressing me the most in this match. Nice and explosive moves, energy in the ring, played the monster fine. Crowd was nuclear for Benoit and Jericho getting in the ring. Fun finish. I would not be adverse to a longer rematch. Tajiri/Viscera was dumb, hopefully they go somewhere with the Tajiri/Regal thing although I doubt they will. The JR segment was dumb. I hate the "embarass the hometown guy, that'll teach him to be employed with us" routine. And a quick though, why bring in Hodge and not explain to the casual viewers who he is? I'm a hardcore wrestling fan and even I don't know much about him. Why are they bringing in Hodge and just expecting these casuals to know everything when they expect the casuals to be spoonfed everything else? Batista/La Resistance was a fine squash match, although I question squashing your tag champs in a handicap match. That really made zero sense. Batista remains the man, though. Kane/Snitsky/Maven was surprisingly decent. Kane and Snitsky selling the injuries is a great thing, and Maven was great in the background. Gotta question why Viscera makes the Rumble while Maven doesn't, though. Flair/Orton was long and decent. Ref bumps are way overdone, I really don't see why the beatdown and comeback couldn't have been saved for post-match. Not as good as their cage match from October (which I just saw last week and thought was pretty good, actually) but not as bad as it could have been.

That needs to be the WWE's new marketing slogan as of yesterday.

Two good matches for this week. I can't comment on momentos as I missed it, but the wrestling was very fun. First off, the final fall of a 2/3 falls Shocker/La Parka/Mistico vs Hector Garza/Hijo Del Perro Aguayo/Ultimo Guerrero. Very heated and very good. It's too bad they didn't show the whole match because it really looked like this was a great match on the whole. Garza is such a sleazy jerk, doing Mistico's praying bit (that is what he was doing, right?) whilst beating on him. The dive followed by La Parka's springboard moonsault was a thing of beauty. The main event for the show was Hijo Del Santo vs Averno, 2/3 falls. Not great like it probably could have been, but I liked it a lot. Santo's super sunset flip for the first fall was great. Averno hit one of the swankest powerbombs I have ever seen. The finish with Averno tapping was well done. In all, this was a good match with some neat spots, but it was missing something crucial. It felt anti-climactic at times. Still very good, though.

Hasn't there been several episodes where SpongeBob goes on dates with chicks, though?

Feb. 9th? Fuck. It's suicide time. Speaking of suicide, I want to kill myself for not simulataneously watching this on 800 million TV's at once to contain the sheer badassness of it all. Because HOLY FUCKING SHIT. 1. THE GODDAMN MOTHERFUCKING POLAR BEAR MOTHERFUCKER TEARS THOSE TREES THE FUCK UP. GODDAMN~. That was the absolute most INTENSE~ thing they have done, EVER. GODDAMN~. 2. THE RETURN OF...Claire? OMGWTF~. OMGWTF X 200 fucking billion. 3. Micheal picked up this episode onto his back and carried it straight to fabulous-city. Like Hercules. Like a black fucking Hercules. 4. Locke and Micheal...the STAREDOWN~. And then Locke helps Micheal? "Let's go find your kid." AND THEN Locke helps save Walt from the polar bear? Locke is not a bad guy. Or is he? 5. Shannon and Boone...the STAREDOWN~. "No thanks." Shannon KNOWS something is up. And she'll find out, if not for those meddling kids. 6. Micheal gets SMOKED THE FUCK OUT by the car. That is the bump Austin WISHES he could take. Fuck. 7. Sawyer is the ultimate smarmy jerk. Except for the fact that he isn't a jerk. AND THEY _STILL_ WON'T JUST ASK HIM FOR SOMETHING. Sheesh. 8. "Dude, your kid is like, gone, dude." 9. Charlie fighting over reading the diary or not. YesNoYesNoYesNoYesNoNoNoYesNoNoYesNoNoNo. Yes. 10. Boone is channeling Stevie Richards and Locke is channeling Raven and the island is channeling ECW and I am loving it. Great episode. I loved it. Loooooved it. ~~.

Talking animals, with a racing zebra taking the top billing. Whoophi Goldberg, David Spade, Snoop Dogg, that fag main character guy from Malcolm in the Middle, more. It looks great!!!!

Fuck, I love these two when they are put together. Incredibly fun match. Akio looked completely bad ass with the monk get up, and London is all OH HELL NAW I'm-a fuck you up cause I'm the youngster with the skills. Opening work with the kicks and headlocks was good. London hits a beautiful asai moonsault and then they head back in with more kicks and we're-even shots. And of course, the beautiful spinning splash finish and the handshake to cap it off. They should do a 2/3 falls to "cap" the series, so to speak. Beautiful stuff, and worlds better than anything else the WWE is doing right now. And odds are, nobody but a few in the company know that it is going on. And fuck, that kidnapping montage was fucking lame. How can they go such polar opposites and good and fast so quick?

As always, another fun lucha show this week on TLN, but this one was even better than usual because it featured an absolutely incredible Torneo Cibernetico with Team Guapo vs Team Guerrero. Olimpico absolutely stole the show with a great performance, but everyone had a good showing and this was one of my favorite matches shown on TLN yet (Averno/Zumbido and the first Torneo Cibernetico from October may have been better, but I'll need to watch those again). In addition to the big ass main event (long, and uncut I think) there was also a fun Universo/Terrible/Dr. Wagner vs Shocker/Blue Panther/Mr. Niebla. Americans, I have no idea if this had already aired or when it will air, but Canadians, this re-airs tomorrow at 4:30 EST. WATCH. YOU WILL LOVE IT.

It'll never go down until money is put towards it. Any amount of money would help. Would you rather it go up to $7,601,213,485,023.73? Of course not.
-
Scale it the fuck down and put the money towards the massive fucking debt the country has.
-
I watch a lot of wrestling; while the WWE is sucking, indies and lucha are on fire. Some puro has been good lately as well.

Well let ME check my "awesome-o-meter". Locke has registered yet again~! Expect me to post more LOVE NOTES as I continue to recall more about this episode. Rudo is right, top 3 for shizzle and maybe even the top ahead of Locke's and Sawyer's, but there needs to be several rewatches for each before I can declare that. I can't think of ANYTHING I did not like here. DAMN~

Jeezus, I am excited beyond belief for tonight's show. Can't wait. Must...avoid..spoilers...argh. ~!

Yeah, Joy has such a well rounded character that everyone will care about this huge shocker of an angle. As always, sounds like Velocity > Smackdown. Hopefully Akio/London will be as fun as their first match.
-
Akio/London rematch = me watching Velocity.

I wouldn't categorize myself as a Bush supporter because I do disagree with some things he has done while in office, but I certainly side with Republicans on most issues.

I hate to sound like a loser ROHbot, but Super Crazy fought Eddie at ROH Era of Honor Begins 2/23/02. So that match has happened.

I can't help you with any specific info, but this guy is listed in the bad traders list at CrazyMax: http://www.crazymax.org/viewtopic.php?t=16828

I read the Raw and Smackdown recaps (probably the best on the net) and the other wrestling reviews. Occasionally the DVD stuff too.
