  1. Who announced his tranformation to the African Dream in an interview hosted by "MEAN" GENE OKERLUND
  2. I think what helped me like it is that I had low expectations for it when I bought it. This is when I was at uni and had very little money to spend on CD's, so when I saw it for £3 in Cash Generator (God bless!), I decided to buy it and ended up being pleasantly surprised, as I was expecting far less from it than I got. Sadly, this rekindled my love of the Manics, a chain of events that culminated with my spending an entire night in sub-zero temperatures on the streets of Cardiff, queueing to buy tickets for a small show at the Coal Exchange.

So, odds on Wayne Rooney starting the season at Everton??
  4. Hey, nothing wrong with Wheatus at all! OK, their third choice of single (in the UK at least it was Leeroy and Wannabe Gangster as a double A-side) was poor, but the album has some hidden delights on it. "Punk Ass Bitch", "Truffles" and especially "Love Is A Mutt From Hell" are all fantastic songs that, when I put them on car tapes, people can't believe are by Wheatus. "Teenage Dirtbag" is still a great pop song too.
  5. Great album, though severely underrated due to having "Smooth Criminal" as a novelty hit and that fact that they act like tossers in the video. "TruANT" was pretty good as well, they tried experimenting with a few new things which ultimately killed off any interest from the nu-metal crowd. Others I like that many hate (seeing as I have "the worst taste on the board" : Deep Blue Something-Home Manic Street Preachers-This Is My Truth, Tell Me Yours New Found Glory-Sticks And Stones Something Corporate-Leaving Through The Window Wheatus-Wheatus

    I've done it.

Yesterday was the three-year anniversary of my last cigarette and I can honestly say that I don't miss them whatsoever. Hey, having an extra £20+ per week to spend on things which don't affect my lung capacity seems like a good idea to me.
  7. Wayne Rooney Julian Casablancas from the Strokes Jack White
  8. For anyone who likes Sonic Youth or the Fall, I'd heartily recommend "Sand On Seven" by Not From There They're Australian art-rock, with Sonic Youth tendencies, but enough originality to avoid being seen as a poor tribute act. The lead singer is Austrian, so a few songs are sung in German, which works surprisingly well for this type of music.
  9. "Everything Zen" by Bush

  11. Stereophonics-Word Gets Round I'd wanted a copy for ages, as I used to like the 'phonics before they became dull and it was only £3, so it's a fantastic purchase. Hell, it's worth £3 for "A Thousand Trees" alone.

A frankly dire England performance. Owen=ineffectual, Terry and Rooney seemed to be having a "who can do the most reckless challenge?" competition and James STILL didn't look safe in goal. I'm surprised Owen Hargreaves didn't shatter his ankle on one Swiss challenge at the end though- the replay looked horrific

  16. Have to agree with the Pistols and the Phil Collins entries. I'd also make mention of: -the final verse of "Hope St" by the Levellers, where they cut out all the instruments just before the line "You seem to think they like it there, hanging out on Hope Street" -the intro to "Geno" by Dexy's Midnight Runners -the way "Bitte Ein Kuss" by OneLineDrawing comes to almost a total stop, before Jonah starts softly singing again -the final thirty seconds of "New Noise" by Refused, where Dennis is screaming "The new beat" over and over again
  17. Jason Biggs: Don't you recognize me? I'm a teen idol! I'm the pie-fucker (Biggs is put into police car) Security Guard: Yeah, well, in prison, he'll be the pie (laughs)

  19. 80. Due to his friendship with Dutch "Uncle Zebekiah" Mantell, if fired he would get a year-long TNA title reign that would make TNA the largest promotion in history and bankrupt the WWE.

  23. He was by far the worst thing about Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind, although that's partly because of how great the rest of the cast were. As for the Lord Of The Rings films, putting aside my dislike of the trilogy, he was exceptionally average in those as well. And I hated him in North too.

I liked the way that the Daily Mail, without doubt the worst paper in the country, referred to England as "Sven and his band of losers". What a load of rubbish. England played pretty well up until the 75th minute, when, to quote Bobby Robson, they started playing like they were in stoppage time trying to hold on. Nice to see Ledley play so well, Lampard proved why he is the best midfielder in the country and it was a good performance. Even James didn't fuck it up, until he was left in a sticky situation by Gerrard. The only question now is how you respond to the heartbreak. And Fantasy Football were right, Rooney DOES look like a potato.
  25. My housemates last year gave me a lot of abuse for this, but I love "Yourself Or Someone Like You" by Matchbox 20, I thought the last Nickelback album was a genuinely great rock album and I quite liked the first Crazytown album.
