I maintain to this day that if 3 Colours Red had followed up "Beautiful Day" with "Pirrouette" instead of "This Is My Time" (which got to #36), then it would have gone top 10 for sure. Agreed, I especially love "No Good Advice", mainly due to it's blatant Knack-ripoff backing track. This might also be a good time to mention just how much I love "Revolving Door" by Crazy Town, as well as my healthy love of Phil Collins and Chris De Burgh.

I love Lisa Loeb's "Stay" to the point that I spent £11 on the album, "I Think We're Alone Now" by Tiffany is my favourite song of all time and I still love "Summer Girls" by LFO

I looked for that album but couldn't find it, so I settled with the Masters Collection. It was £14 in my local shop for the new remastered copy. Got it for £3 on eBay instead. Great album

It should also be pointed out that Menswear were the most underrated band of the 90's and that one Johnny Dean pout was instantly 10x cooler than the Libertines on their best day. As for videos, it's a cliche due to it's appearance on VH-1's Worst 100 Videos, but "Wired For Sound" by Cliff Richard is a dreadful video. Cliff...rollerskating around Pebble Mill...in a tight leather jacket? Rubbish. Great song though. Also, having just bought Titan AE on DVD, I've just realised Lit's video for "Over My Head" features the worst superimposing onto film footage I've ever seen.

These bands (with the exception of Bloc Party who seem passable) all make me ashamed to be British. Our music scene is really on a downward spiral the last couple of years and no matter how much the media try to tell me that Keane are interesting (they aren't) or the Kaiser Chiefs will be great (they wont), it doesn't gloss over the fact that these bands are all hype, no substance. The Futureheads do an average enough Jam impression, but there has to be something better in the UK.
