Just to add, Im using a Thinkpad 600X witha Matshiutia DVD drive

Ive just got a stack of new DVD mp3 discs, and I can play them in a friends computer absolutly no problem, when I put them into my DVD drive, Windows changes the DVD drive to a CD drive in Explorer, when I try to double click the drive it says "Windows cannot read from this CD, It may be using a file format that is incompatiable with Windows". Me and my friends system are both using the same XP disc(XP Pro), is my drive fucked? And why would it read DVD games/files/movies perfectly well and not DVD-R's or RW's?

There is a part of me that does feel like a weight has been lifted from my shoulders. I'm ever the optimist, but a big part of me has had to face up to the truth that this is the worst Southampton season and team I've ever seen. Only because we've been so terrible have we stopped the three promoted sides going straight back down. The season is over, the ramifications have only just begun. I personally think the entire first team squad should be made to hand over the P45's and look into the eyes of the unfortunate people who will be losing their jobs at St Mary's.
