Yah, so what will HBK do....

Mick Foley did at Bad Blood 2003. Foley had to blade and take bumps because Nash and HHH were too busy making love in the ring to actual care about giving the fans an entertaining PPV main event.

JBL bashes Internet Writer Wade Keller

Those letters are way too reasoned. I smell a work...

    WWE and it's trademarks

No, WWE has that name copyrighted, and as such, they get a portion of every movie "The Rock" does. Vince also gets an executive producer credit and the cash that comes with it. I think when Rock leaves WWE, he can opt to buy the copyright, but I'm not sure.

Rate the TV shows you watch...

Desperate Housewives - B+ Arrested Development - B (It's different "funny," give TV a year or two and you'll see ten rip-offs completely kill the product Raw - F (Pretty much at the point where I stopped watching it six months ago, much like hating a class so much that I just wouldn't bother to go to the lectures or the final) Daily Show - A- (Election stuff was great, and John Stewart got some extra credit with the book and the bitchslapping of the media) X-Play - D (The humor is gone, totally gone. Blaming G4 entirely imprisoning them in Los Angeles. Do they learn nothing? People in L.A. are dead. The anti-Nintendo stuff is funny because it's true, but that's about it.) Veronica Mars - B- Smallville - C (pretty much Elseworlds now thanks to Jeph Loeb. Lois saved the show.) Enterprise - C- (Finally got rid of the stupid other alien destroyer story and got back to politics and forming the Federation. Got a long way to go, though. Joan of Arcadia - B+ Justice League Unlimited - F (F for fanboy service, that's all the show is, beefed up with bad animation, bad character designs, total lack of musical direction and stories so dumb that a 2 year old can figure them out. Haven't seen a show so successful simply because of its name since X-Men in 1992. Of course this show is not doing well at all in the ratings and the writers on X-Men at least had the sense to rip off the good stories)

Where do you see the WWE...

I thought the original intent of the EC was to be the penultimate "Survivor Series" match. The way it's been floating around (remember the intention was to NEVER use it at SSlam 03 until Triple H couldn't wrestle for 20 minutes due to injury), it's bound to become as silly as the Hell in the Cell has become, but without any memorable moments/matches.
  6. For a company that seemingly didn't care to recognize who TNA was, they sure went to great lengths to bury them with a "very special edition" of Byte This. I don't know how WWE convinced Heyman to do it, though...
  7. WWE Logic at its finest. Seriously, it's just wrong. This whole closet cleaning is a money-saving tactic instead of talent-saving, and its going to show very quickly and bite WWE in the ass, as usual.
  8. The brand extention was a failure from the start. WWE bragged that they had the deepest talent pool in history, and that new stars would be pushed. That hasn't happened, so naturally the people who weren't given a chance are cut first. Besides Billy Gunn, everyone else was relatively new. Personally, I hope the firing continues, because the WWE needs to stop kidding itself that just adding people without logic (Diva Search, Tough Enough, half of the OVW callups) is good for the business when in fact it's killing it. I'd also start taking away some of those top spots, as well, which won't happen and the ratings and buyrates will continue to drop with it. That said, I can't blame Albert, Chuck Palumbo, or Gail Kim for the ratings drops when they were barely on TV, though. We never did see that Gail Kim title shot when she was making Victoria tap every week. The women's division is deader than dead, and that's the fault of the front office. The matchups were there. Molly could have been a face again, and the wrestling would have been tolerable. Whatever to WWE, I say.

WWE News & Notes from the 10/18 Observer

Again, if this is true, this is utter stupidity. The main event is obviously Triple H's, which means the tag match will be BEFORE that, which means that we'll know who LOST the vote, and thus know who won the vote BEFORE they patronize us all and save it for the ring entrance. Would it have been so hard to have the fans just pick a tag team? Hurricane/Rosey...wait, that's it. Well, it's no different than any of the other pre-packaged picks WWE has sent out in the last 3 weeks of TV. The Russo-like booking is silly, they are clearly booking the tag match so that Edge turns heel or teases it some more, which only further negates the Tag Titles (which I guess they feel isn't useless enough already).

    RAW Spoilers

Um, not to sound dumb, but doesn't having the tag title match with the two people not elected to the main event of the PPV kind of give away the main event of the PPV before it happens?
  15. Now I know why it's called Taboo Tuesday. After it fails miserably the WWE will consider fan voting, Tuesday PPVs, and every Canadian under 6'2'' "taboo."

The OAO Raw is Snitsky in MSG Thread

I was wondering what took Kane so long to give his notice after all the shit they made him do over the last three years. Being a JTTS has got to be one of the more frustrating parts of being a wrestler. I mean, he's right there, but not there at the same time.

    Is WWE still entertaining?

WWE has not been entertaining to me since early 2003, but it wasn't until May where I finally was disinterested enough in the stuff to stop watching it altogether.

    Your favourite WWE PPVs.

In the last three years, can't really say. Summerslam 2002 would be one, and Backlash 2004 would be another, but for the most part, I haven't really enjoyed a PPV from top to bottom since WM X-7. Oh, there are PPVs where I enjoyed one match, and then there are some where I wanted my money back (Armageddon 2003) because every match was a bore.

Notes from Taboo Tuesday Press Conference

It doesn't matter who wins the vote. Triple H is winning the match. If Triple H was in the poll he wouldn't have a chance, something that would have been very different in 2000.
  20. Kane has been involved in more stupid angles than anyone else on that roster (Necrophilia, being Shane's bitch, this wedding, JTTS status since 1999),and he's still over. It's sad, but funny as hell as well.
  21. [cynic mode on]Yeah, black guys are inferior. They don't belong to be with the top heels in the company or to have World Title reigns. But they do get to be meaningless backstage personalities as mouthpieces for booking angles cleverly called "general managers" as long as they worship Vince McMahon.[cynic mode off]

The OAO Raw IS Diva SearcHHH thread

Why are ALL of the WWE.com photos from Raw featuring Triple H? I mean, wasn't there another 100 minutes or so of Raw worth taking pictures of?

    Unforgiven this Sunday

That's not going to stop Triple H. It didn't in 2001. Getting Stephanie pregnant, that might put him of action for a few months, it worked for HBK. Then again, the only guy HHH would job before leaving is HBK, so whatever.

    Unforgiven this Sunday

But then thats probably how they fill up the gap between now and Orton getting the title back Benoit went from main-eventing Summerslam to opening a second rate PPV in a month. It's going to be a long time before Benoit gets another shot, if ever.
