He's a better wrestler, he's better on the mic at this point and we dont have to listen to the announcers babble about how the champion isn't really getting booed, they're booing the fucking Coach. Cena needed to be beaten decisively, turn heel and have a nice six months at least in the midcard as a heel. John Cena does not deserve to be world champion right now. I agree that Cena shouldn't be the champion. But I wouldn't be calling for him to drop it WHEN he has a match with HHH. Vs Kurt Angle? Sure. Vs Chris Jericho? Sure. Vs Edge? Sure. Vs HHH? No. Do you really think that Cena dropping the belt to HHH will help anything? It just puts the belt on a guy who either a. will feel the need to do 20 title changes to catch up to Flair or b. feel that he's done enough jobbing and goes on another 9 month-1 year invincible streak. Since they booked Cena vs HHH for Mania, I'm glad Cena went over, because now he can drop it to someone else who I'd be more receptive to having the belt OR doing the heel turn, and refreshening up his character. Putting the belt back on HHH is not the answer NOR is it the lesser of two evils.

Until Cena becomes the devil I know HHH to be, I will always pick him over HHH.

Well if it was up to me I'd have retired the day I entered the majors. As it was, they promoted me without telling me, so I simmed through some of my first few starts on the MLB level. I opted for a "fuller" career after that.

If he feels that going there would open himself up to a skit, then he shouldn't go at all. What right does he have to tell someone else they shouldn't be there? None. I'd be more worried about Vince than Shawn anyway, since Shawn's character right now is telling Vince to get over it. Well I doubt the real Shawn even cares if Vince got over it or not. That's what important. The HoF is not meant to be some night to further kayfabed angles. It's meant to honor the wrestlers inducted. Why should what Shawn's CHARACTER says matter?

Let's forget that this year is basically Bret's. Like last year's was Hulk's. Let's forget that Bret doesn't have to do this. Let's forget that Bret is actually putting aside his REAL personal feelings so that he can help WWE benefit from him with the DVDs and the HoF. Let's forget that in the entire year up to this point, it was built around Bret with the Summerslam match between Shawn/Hulk to this Mania match between Vince/Shawn. Let's forget that Shawn has been lying to Bret and other people for so long that Bret cannot possibly believe him again, nor can anyone for that matter. Let's just rip on Bret for agreeing to appear at an event Vince INVITED him to. Clearly the people involved has no problems with his condition that Shawn not appear. If Shawn willingly SAID that (though it was meant to paint him as a complete company guy that will do anything for them), then why are people complaining about it? As Bob Barron said, if I didn't like someone, and he was expected to appear at my induction, I'd want him gone too. Anyone would. Does this make Bret petty? Perhaps. But he is in full rights to do so. And I can understand his motivation. Though continue to let the HBK glasses blind you.

I believe that if Vince had HIS vision of a closure (where he invariably will end up looking better than Bret or Shawn), he would let it go. However you know Bret won't agree to any storyline conclusion if it didn't have him avenging the screwjob. Besides at this point I don't think Bret will even agree to Vince going "Hey Bret? A word with you if I may..." because he'd know something was up.

And open himself up to a possible skit involving Shawn and Vince?
