Examples of Milking a Franchise After It's Lifespan Ended
2GOLD replied to ChrisMWaters's topic in Television & Film
Missing in Action. I loved the first two parts, but I have no god damn idea what was going on in 3. And soon to be added to this list...Shrek. And even though I hated it, Scream went on one movie too many. After Randy died, there was no POINT to a third one other than the desperate search for more money. -
It could have been worse Ripper. She could have had a thing for how Cowboy's dress and got you a big hat, some boots, one of those string ties, a dress shirt with bulls all over it and some ultra tight blue jeans that make you stunned you can move. I don't think you'd want to be looking like Cowboy Troy. As for the Christmas: Some DVDs (Berry Gordy's The Last Dragon and Side Out the main ones) and some dress shirts for me (I don't button them, just t-shirt and unbuttoned cause they are comfortable hanging) nothing major just minor things I wanted for myself. Tony Stewart hat and a new Cubs hat after mine went missing. Shadow of the Colossus finally. Monopoly For others: Fiancee- diamond heart necklace, jewelry box with mirror, perfume, Clue, a new hoodie, and a small Winnie the Pooh statue plus The Little Mermaid for her Disney love. Mom and Dad- Dad is getting a big ass spotlight flashlight and Mom is getting a shampoo set cause she is impossible to buy for. Rest of my family (brothers and wives) are getting mug sets while I got a small Winnie the Pooh toy for my new niece and some sparkling pony tail holders for my older niece. And I got a flower for the grave of my brother, so that completed all my shopping for my family. Got two bath sets and DVDs for two of my female friends and hooked up the other one with some drawing materials galore.

Some people know and just don't really care. Sometimes I don't blame them. Watching movies on my rents tv that are in widescreen just sucks. I guess when you cannot afford a new television to make widescreen look tolerable, you go with what you can watch and enjoy.

The other ending of DH:WAV is McClane shoots him with a damn grenade launcher from across a table. That ending is so great but probably a little bit a darker direction than they wanted to take John in.

52 bucks, I had to take it out to finish my Christmas shopping. I never keep more than 40 bucks in my wallet in assorted bills at a time usually. The good old check card works for everything and what it doesn't work for, isn't worth more than 40 dollars.

So it's just another week here at TSM board then right?

In teams that matter to me news: Delaware coach Monte Ross is off to a horrible start in his first season, starting 0-7. I cannot believe how badly this program has collapsed since Brey left but I am still hopefully Ross can turn it around next season. Hopefully he can rebound, he lost two big men to start the season and it's going to be very hard to recover. He's got a nice class of guys coming in and he knows how to recruit that Philly area so who knows. Florida State is 7-2 with a huge win over Florida. They are going to need that one later in the season, big time.

Examples of Milking a Franchise After It's Lifespan Ended
2GOLD replied to ChrisMWaters's topic in Television & Film
Some franchises aren't milked so much as they are bobbled. TMNT is an example of a bobbled franchise and I think Hellraiser is another example of one that was just really messed up. There was still plenty of stories that could have been told for both and they fell into low budget moronic hell. Disney are the masters of milking a franchise but rarely if ever do the non-cgi sequels get into the theaters. But you can damn sure bet they will put out sequels of classics that are really bad and really short as well. Although Kronk's New Groove was great. Ghostbusters was put out to pasture by the studio. Apparently it was all ready to roll even with Murray back (since Bill is back and forth on things so much) but the studio didn't feel there was interest. But they did feel like there was interest in a Fog remake and Basic Instinct 2. Go figure. -
This is one of those moves I don't understand unless it is a minor league deal. Marquis isn't worth one of those five starting rotation spots at all. Unless he has some magic hiding somewhere that he hasn't shown, I really don't understand.

Chickening out on taking my horror novel to an agent to find a publisher.
-
He got an entrance earlier in the night so it would be kinda time wasting to do his entrance twice.
-
Has Jackson even been given a remote chance to play QB? He's been hurt most of the season so I cannot understand the move. Course I have no idea why the hell the Lions think they need ANOTHER receiver. Someone stop Matt Millen before its too late. The guy has a WR fetish.

Child Arrested After Opening Holiday Gift Early
2GOLD replied to Rob Anybody's topic in Current Events
You kidding? Most of the experts are the ones who invented the pills the kids take nowadays. Best snake oil salesmen in the world are child experts. Anyone can scare a future parent into submission, it's really easy. Course anyone who believes an 8 year old is just a "little adult" must have a obvious mental issue anyway. So basically, if you touch a kid under the age of 17 (in some states anyway) in any way to do him harm, you can be arrested for child abuse. Nice huh? -

We let the "experts" tell us that whooping a kid's backside is wrong and that we should treat them like adults and allow them to express themselves. Now we can't go back on it. -
Yeah, it all seems good now. Seems it did sort itself out. Cool.

Tuesday Night Wars - MTV to air WSX against ECW
2GOLD replied to GreatWhiteNope's topic in General Wrestling
Nothing says wrestling fans and music like New Found Glory and Good Charlotte. That alone is enough to make me pass. The other part of the equation was the letters MTV. -
It keeps logging me out and then saying I don't exist, until I refresh and I exist again. The hell.

We do as well. This is what has happened to kids without spanking of the ass. Time out doesn't work in most cases, it's a waste of energy and now we are seeing parents forced to call the cops. Great, just what the cops need, to be arresting kids for opening presents early. Damn hippies, see what you've done? Treating kids like little adults has made them believe the world should be handed to them on a silver platter. And what the world won't give, they just gonna take away. When these little brats grow up, we're all screwed. -
5. Those little shits would just punch me in the balls and after five ball shots, I'm not fighting anymore. Biting arms and ball shots means short fight. The size isn't the issue, it's that "no holds barred" shit that gets me. Nothing more than a room full of pissed off midgets.

If he kills Michelle and escapes, I'll be a huge fan of his. I really HATE her character and that was a horribly anti-climatic end to the James character. This whole season has just been one blah episode after another.
-
You know, looking at Suppan's NL numbers I am no longer against the Cubs bringing him in. If they can get him for a reasonable deal, I'll take him. He had one poor season in the National League and that was in 1998. He was very solid for the Cards in three seasons so why not?

According to yahoo and Foxsports, Ted Lilly is a Chicago Cub. I have no idea how to feel about that with a deal of 4 years, 40 million dollars. My main reaction is to slap my head and shake it back and further in confusion.

I need either a really big or a moderate sized TV to enjoy 2:35:1. I love the 1:78:1. Full screen, that's my fiancee's and parents love. I can tolerate it and I won't take a movie back if it's full screen. Doesn't exactly ruin my life.

TNA's VKM At Tonight's WWE House Show in Knoxville, TN
2GOLD replied to Enigma's topic in TNA Wrestling
I was more interested in Maria in those gold boots than anything Triple H was doing. Maybe the whole point of this angle is by TNA to keep them away while they think of something to do with them. Be more creative than "management has nothing for you at this time." Cause yeah, management apparently doesn't have anything for them but making it seem like they do. So it kinda works out.
