  1. And a good portion of them look to be returning in STARSHIP TROOPERS 3: PRETENDING PART 2 DIDN'T HAPPEN! At the very least, it has the return of Casper Van Dien and it'll hit Sci-Fi channel. And it can't POSSIBLY be worse than Stan Lee's Harpies. Speaking of which, what the HELL happened to Stan Lee? This guy's name is getting tacked onto crap left and right now. Does Stan have a bad gambling habit or something? That Harpies movie was so incredibly bad that you could clearly, and I mean CLEARLY, see guys holding sticks against their sides and then gently placing themselves on the ground as they died. It's bad enough the movie had Stephen Baldwin but combine that with the "special effects" and you have what might have been the WORST movie in Sci-Fi channel history. And that's saying a ton for that network.
  2. I'm almost positive if Fox is talking with TNA, it's for an FX spot. FX won't accept a 1.1 or anything like that either. It's worrisome but if it's like a guarenteed such and such number of years deal, maybe it's beneficial. But isn't Spike paying the contracts of some of the guys in TNA?
  3. I'm surprised you could even type that. If you had tried to say it, you would have never got to Th before you broke out laughing. Maybe Shawn Kemp and Glen Baker can both try to make another comeback? Isn't there anyone on the free agent market who could handle it? All they really need is a guy who can smack the boards to give Allen and Pierce second chance shots. There has gotta be someone they can sign.
  4. The PROBLEM with this is on FOX, TNA would have to produce major ratings to stay on the air. I like them being on SpikeTV as they are meeting the reasonable expectations. Moving to a major network? That is expectations even the WWE hasn't been able to meet lately. I just don't know about this.
  5. Ah, see that makes sense. I was really confused over the whole situation there with Brock.
  6. So Angle just missed out on holding two belts or is the belt Brock holding defunct? I really don't know too much about the situation other than Brock being owed money.
  7. Might be one of those disabilities where you really can't tell much. There are a couple where you really think nothing of it. If he was like 7 and a little small for his age, they might have just shrugged it off as he hadn't hit his growth spurt yet.
  8. Guilt. Some parents feel a lot of guilt about letting on that they're having trouble with raising their kids, including the reasons why. Plus you could have the additional shame factor or fear that someone will treat your child differently. Some like to keep it as close to their vest as possible since they want to give their child every chance to lead a normal life. And many still treat people with any disability like they are a second class human so it could be a reason why they tried to keep it as quiet as possible.
  9. I guess the feeling is they gave up the draft picks they needed for a guy who may not be himself after the ankle surgery. Personally, I didn't see a problem with it since they were acquiring a damn good guard. I know they need a big man and all but I don't understand the issue. Feels like one of those acceptable risk type deals to me. If he comes back 100%, you have another amazing scorer. If it doesn't, well there is always next year.
  10. I think the thing it might have going for it is he's not really doing it because it's the right thing to do or for the glory. He's doing it plain and simply for the money so he can get back his life. Plus toss in all his gadgets, more action than the other two, and you might just have enough variety and difference to separate it. It'll be interesting though, just a question on how well it does from week to week.
  11. I'm a juice freak too. Orange Juice is just that goddamn good. We all remember who loved apple juice... WHAT the FUCK is this JUICE? I want some Apple Drink. Its green. Thread needed more Dave Chappelle jokes. Good show times two. Also, the Warrior? Dear god, that is going to be the ultimate of train wrecks. The guy is barely sane and now he's going to be asked about steroids on national television. Almost makes me wish I wasn't going out tonight. I'd love to know what his delusional ass says. As for Debra, there is never an excuse for a 6'4 guy hitting a woman unless she tries to inflict serious bodily harm first. Otherwise, no god damn reason for it. I don't care if she did accidentally or intentionally broke a chain Pillman gave him, there is no reason to hit her.
  12. The American Culture is heading in the same direction but I doubt we'll ever be as creepy as Japan when it comes to technology. They have shit when you look at it you just go, "What the hell is the point?" The iPhone is definitely not for me. I mean, it looks absolutely awesome but most of the crap on it I will never use. When I leave the house and leave work to go out, I have no desire to get on the internet so that's a good bit of the thing not being for me. As for music, I'm pretty sure that's what the 250 plus dollar iPod was for and I don't even want one of those things at the moment. Plus at the rate technology is going, this thing will be obsolete in two years or less. Pure craziness.
  13. I enjoyed the show a lot. I hope it makes it on the network because it is loaded with potential for actions and laughs. The storyline wasn't boring or complicated, the acting was refreshing and Campbell was excellent. Donovan hasn't been a ratings draw in his last two attempts so hopefully this is a third times a charm situation. Looking forward to the next episode to see if it can keep it going.
  14. I'm not too sure, maybe the move put press on his back and neck too much? Or the WWE requested he change it as a safety mesaure? I've never really figured it out because I have always hated his spear.
  15. Crap, Thornton goes to the West coast. Damn, I don't know if I still have a channel that shows the Clippers.
  16. Yep, and one of their issues was they needed someone strong inside to rebound. So what do the 76ers do? Draft a 6'7 guy whose main thing against him was he isn't that good of a rebounder. I have no damn idea what they are doing with the pick. They had Wright and Thornton on the board and they went around them for a SF with rebounding issues.
  17. I say that it'll take another year for them to be in the playoffs but I can see them being in the hunt for that eighth spot the whole way now. They are having a very smart draft. I really wish Philly would draft Al Thornton, give me a reason to go to an NBA game. ETA: And they didn't so now I have no interest in the 76ers at all and the Wiz aren't up high enough to get him. Damn.
  18. Wow, Law looks so thrilled to be going to Atlanta. Good pick by the Hawks, fills a need and gives them a pretty good player. Also, I love the NBA draft. Ten plus picks in less than 40 minutes, that's fantastic.
  19. Ok, either Edge gets a new finisher or everyone else has to stop using the spear. Unless they are going to play up that Batista beat Edge with his own finisher and use it as a way for Batista to get ANOTHER title shot, it's getting kind of silly how many people are winning matches with it.
  20. They have talked to Kevin, someone interviewed him and it was posted here somewhere. He didn't really say much though. Ah, thanks. Must have been one of the pages when I was asleep. I'll search elsewhere for it cause this thread is a mess looking for something.
  21. Sounds to me like the US government is looking for a chance to load the gun and come at Vince again. Also, man, is Kevin Sullivan like Tony Soprano or something? Everyone he ever had a problem with or who fucked him over is now dead. And why hasn't anyone at all talked with Kevin yet? Where the heck IS Kevin anyway?
  22. Chris apparently wasn't too thrilled with the company after the Vince angle and I doubt he's really interested in returning to the road after the Benoit stuff. We probably won't see Chris back for quite a bit of time right now. They might have to turn Cor Von or Burke into a face and see what happens. Either that or send Mr Kennedy to ECW for a little while.
  23. If you rape an adult woman, he'll probably give community service and tell you to buy her a nice dress, cause it'll make her happy again.
  24. You kidding? This is the American Media. Nothing is sensational enough until they say it is.
  25. That's true. Jericho might be the only one who would come close but he still had a damn good career outside Benoit matches. I mean for any future best of or wrestler collection releases down the road. There would be plenty of stuff for a Chris Jericho DVD outside of Chris Benoit. His feud with Juventud Guerrera, his feud with Dean Malenko, his "feud" with Bill Goldberg, his debut in WWE, his feud with Chyna, his Intercontinental title reign, etc. I'm surprised a Chris Jericho DVD hasn't been released before and I hope one is eventually released. If John Cena can warrant five DVDs, they can fill two DVDs with Chris Jericho and not mention Chris Benoit. That feud with Chyna needs to be left off any set and forgotten. That feud was the biggest politically charged joke in a long time, right up there with the Booker vs HHH feud. Now his feud with Malenko and Juvie? Yeah, those were golden. Heck, you could fill one DVD full of Jericho comedy segments and people would buy it up.
