Chris Benoit Dead - Toxicology results released
2GOLD replied to Human Fly's topic in The WWE Folder
What small guy did they try and treat like a champion? Rey was treated as the the world's luckiest midget and constantly got his ass kicked. Jericho's run was pathetic, so pathetic he ended up building to his title defense against HHH by picking up dog crap. They made SURE the runs of the small guys failed just so it could be said their runs failed. They didn't book one of them like a champion, they booked them as jokes and the crowd responded as such. -
Probably had a personal training effort with some hot chick and decided to blow off the ECW taping. The man loves his gym.

See, I totally edited this so the spoiler would be safe. All I'll say is, even after thinking about it that it still doesn't make an ounce of sense to me. -
A sign TNA knows their booking is complete shit and the show makes no sense? Well, they have pulled the Bound for Glory show from Chicago. Apparently not going to a crowd that will rip you a new one is easier than actually working to improve the finishes, writing, angles and booking to make everyone in the company happy so the crowd doesn't rip you a new one. Pure geniuses in TNA, pure geniuses. I still love to watch the matches on IMPACT because they are fast paced, but the booking has a way of making me incredibly pissed off.

Rey Rey is a walking stigma right now and would be the stupidest thing they could do. I would think the way to prove you don't give the title to guys who roided themselves into bigger shape is to give it to someone who didn't do such a thing. Mark Henry is naturally strong and is a big man so I'll say he's got to be a favorite. Matt Hardy would be shocking and would get fans talking, but I just don't see that as being a high possibility. Masters already has been the company balloon with his body size changes so I wouldn't think that would be a smart move. Flair would probably be the perfect mark out the crowd guy but he'd have to lose the belt rather quickly. Khali is still a damaged mess and Batista just had the damn thing. Kane is Kane. I'll go with big Mark as well. Plus him being outspoken against steroids and the fact he's been with the company since forever would be perfect. Course he's also a favorite to suffer another damn injury. -

Clearly he should have called Bob. Bob knows all about things like this. If Benoit had called Bob, all that would have happened to Nancy is she would have looked like a stroke victim when Chris was done. I wanted to get a Smilin' Bob t-shirt...but then I figured people would associate me with needing to take those pills and thought I better not. I convinced my girl to get me one and I'll be wearing it on Halloween with a huge smile while she has agreed to look like part of her brain has been removed. It's our laziest effort but a fun effort. Back on the topic, it's really hard to say. But ESPN's bottom line is reporting he had it all in his system, so apparently they aren't exactly going to be reporting the 100% true result of the test. Obviously he was doing a steroid and he was doing it quite heavily, the reasons why and what it did to him mentally will just never be answered. As for the blame the WWE takes, none but they should still work harder with their wrestlers about time off when injured instead of encouraging them to work through them and then punishing those who don't work through the ones they feel can be worked through. Painkiller addiction is just as serious an issue as steroids to me and that can be reduced somewhat by actual time off for injury instead of this working through it crap. If they don't want the guy off television, why he can't just do interviews and other run-in type actions is beyond me. I've never understood the need to keep a guy with an injury that requires painkiller use in the ring wrestling. Let him heal and then go from there. -

Couldn't have happened to a nicer man.

Persia would have rolled through Europe for a long period of time. I mean, they lost a rather large chunk of their army (well, in terms of what they were facing) and morale really got the hell beat out of it (getting held up by 1900 men will do that to you). The hold up by the 1900 actually allowed the Greeks to build an army and assemble a Naval fleet. Plus a good number of the Greek states were believed to be ready to surrender before the battle instead of facing a force they did not believe was stoppable. It was kind of interesting how much the one battle changed the morale on both sides. It went from "We can never defeat them" to "Hey, maybe we can". While the Persians went from "Our God will lead us to defeat of these puny mortals" to "My god, what have you gotten us into?" Without the hold up and the morale change, the Persians would have taken complete control of southern Europe and probably begin to take over the northern parts later in the year when Xerxes quest for power and god-like status demanded it. You would have had a mostly Persian Europe and if they decided to sail on the UK, who knows. He might have accomplished his goal of World domination really. Which would have completely altered history in about a billion different ways. Too many to count. Plus it's hard to say what happens when Xerxes dies. How does it all dissolve? What does the in-fighting do to the newly controlled Europe?

Cena seems like he does what they tell him to do, even when it's stupid. How else can you explain him reading those jokes every week? Hell, how else can you explain him reading 90% of the promos they have him cut? The guy just doesn't seem to say, "I'm not saying that" to those guys.

The matches seem fine and hour two seems interesting. I'm completely ok with the four team build up since they want to build up the Steiners vs Team 3D one on one encounter a little longer. And LAX is still the biggest tag team in the company. Truthfully the tag division could be over-stacked now. You've got Team 3D, MCMG, LAX, Steiners, VKM, Basham & Damaja, Serotonin, and XXX. That's actually a damn good tag team division but it's just going to be too damn big for one hour of television. The major negative is the ENTIRE first hour is FULL of homosexual Angle jokes. God dammit, that stuff is lame when the E does it and now TNA has to take THAT part of the WWE program and add it? Of all the things they could learn, they learn the gay jokes? Morons.

I thought Lincecum was a french name? And why would the announcers take a shot on Koyie Hill when if it wasn't for him, the Cubs wouldn't have a run tonight? It seems really stupid to me.
-
That's it, Blevins. I sorta heard it but I wasn't 100% sure. So it was apparently Bowen, Blevins and cash for Kendall. Now I'm not so sure what the hell to think because Kendall got real old real fast this year.
-
Cubs acquire Jason Kendall. Not sure for what, but Kendall will be on the Cubs now. That pretty much fills that everyday catcher problem. Apparently the Cubs gave up a pretty big prospect though, still waiting on the name cause I missed it twice. Wait, it was just Bowen and cash? Really? I really REALLY hope the move back to the NL helps Kendall find his bat again. Not sure if his arm has fallen apart or not but I doubt the A's fans are going to miss Kendall.

Ariel would have been perfect since it was already basically her gimmick. If Ariel couldn't show up, maybe they should have just, you know, waited it out instead of hiring someone else to take the spot.
-
It could be a ol Dusty bait and switch and Orton actually wrestles...Golddust! That might be hard to do since he apparently just signed with TNA again. WHY I don't know, but apparently he did. And I may have missed this but why is Candice Michelle being called the Candy-Coated Diva?

One is hockey and the other is a moderately ok looking driver of a car that should have tons more success but thats ok because she's changing the sport of IRL forever. Or something. Look over there! Bigfoot!

Other than the mild chuckle I got from the moments of Homer with the pig, the movie looks horrible. I will try and wait for the 3 dollar theater to show it unless I hear tons of positive things about it. I'm currently waiting for Hostel 2 and LFODH to get there so another one wouldn't hurt.

America won't give a damn about soccer until we can win at it. What's the point of us getting excited about the sport when the minute we get on the world stage we get made look like everyone else's bitch? Until we can seriously compete in the World Cup, and I mean late round run, we will not care as a country. We just aren't going to get excited about a sport we know we aren't even in the top 20 of. Also, I'm tired of hearing about Posh. She looks like an alien creature now.

It would make sense if it means take him off the house show circuit to give him days off. Course it would probably tick off a lot of guys who are stuck wrestling through injuries. It sounds more like a discipline move and odds are strong that if that is the case, it'll be Rey for his name coming up in the Benoit investigation. Twice being name dropped cannot be good for his image or their image.
-
Which version? Daniels and Senshi, Elix and Daniels or Elix and Daniels? Or the whole damn combo pack? Senshi and Elix have nothing to do and I guess Daniels has nothing to do either. It works for me as I was a huge fan of Triple X.

Good for Ichiro and good for Seattle. Be nice to see a superstar player stay in a city for a long time, especially Seattle which has a habit of losing their superstars to trades and free agency. Apparently the deal ended up being 5 years for 90 million. Not bad at all.
-
Wouldn't that just make him one of the boys?
-
I wouldn't take that bet. If it's Orton and he gets away with it again, the guy might as well change his name to Capone and just keep an eye on his taxes.
