While on the phone last night with Fridge, discussing the upcoming Pats-Chargers game, a realization hit me on how similar this game is with the game against Pittsburgh two years ago... a rookie QB sheltered by a good running game, an overrated defense, and notorious choker coach I'll admit the Pats certainly aren't as strong as they were two years ago, but I think they win this one for those same reasons

The dropoff between a #8 and #9 is a lot less marked than the dropoff between #2 and #3... essentially a "9th seed" (most likely a 2 or possibly 3 loss-team) on the outside-looking in has a lot less to bitch about than, say, a third undefeated team who got locked out of the top two
