I think Alf just revels in the fact the Knicks suck now after causing so many problems for Indiana in the 90's I found the original ET article, where he not only applies it to sports, but also to non-sports areas as well. Even if you don't buy it, it makes for a good read
  3. Remember the end of Ace Ventura with Sean Young and all the cops?
  4. Given the internet, that's an assumption in itself
  5. It worked for CanadianChick
  6. You didn't cite your source originally. If this was an English paper, you'd get nailed for plagiarism
  7. But you run the rap game

Simmons popularized it, but I don't think he ever used Peyton as an example. Blame whoever wrote that portion on Wikipedia
  9. TSM doesn't care about Kanye West
  10. I'd heard that the reason for pre-empting the OSU-Michigan game on the West Coast is because there's supposedly an FCC regulation restricting how many hours of Sat morning kids TV you can preempt Who comes up with this shit?
  11. Maybe they should check for votes under "Shawn Figgins"
  12. Bonds was valuable to his team, but he was also problematic to the team at the same time. I'll say he deserved his MVP's far more than Rodriguez did his, though.
  13. Let me clear something up by saying I don't think Rodriguez is a bad player. He's a HoF player with good numbers. However, I find claims of the "value" he brings to teams to be quite dubious. After all, it's possible to be a great player without contributing to your team's success (see also: Bonds, Barry)
  14. The Mariners had better season records for the three years post-Rodriguez than they did for his prime time with them ('96-'00), and even though the Rangers were sub-.500 this year they still had a better record than during his three years there.

Probably just for the Tennessee part. I don't know why they've included the Colts portion. Unless the Colts pull something like the 2001 Pats, or they win the SB after he leaves/retires, he's not really Ewing Theory material
  16. My thread was the pinnacle, it will never be surpassed
  17. Ha...ha...ha. How the fuck can you (without being a retard), be emotionally attached to the piece of shit that is professional wrestling? I'm even training to be a wrestler, but I at least know, that it's shitty performance art at best. Emotionally attached? Ugh.
  18. Something I didn't even think about until I read the Ewing Theory article I posted in another sports thread. Two (not one, two) franchises improved when this man left them. If that's not the exact opposite of MVP, I don't know what is. I'm sure Al will respond with "But, but his OBP!! And his PLS! And his XVC! What about those?!" but, as I've tried to tell him before, not every argument is about stats

    Ewing Theory
  20. It's certainly not because of his high-horse
  21. They should make a t-shirt for that

Hell, even if Minnesota doesn't make the playoffs this year, I'll be happy with a sweep of the Packers
  23. How do you file an international civil suit?
  24. Looking up his name, I see he's been at OU since 1998, so he's essentially been a main factor in their return to power (along with Stoops). I could get behind hiring him. Hell, I'll be happy so long as they don't do something stupid like Nebraska did with Beau Bridges.
  25. The room, it's spin... Okay, I kid. But really, I'm torn as to whether I'll miss Snyder. I mean, he certainly took a nothing program and built it up bigtime, but he was also a "never got the job done" coach, and with a good successor, he could become the second coming of John Cooper
