I'm on vacation. I'm bored. I watched my team lose tonight on a last second FG (the story of the season for me, it seems). And then I come in here and see Dama rooting for the Longhorns. Dama. A Sooner. Rooting for the Longhorns. Turn in your red and white colors, pronto. That's all I'm going to say on that before I get tagged as egging Dama on. As for the game itself, fuck. Michigan let an average QB (look at the stats) turn into Michael Vick against their defense and wound up losing their second RB in a row, not doing the Big 10 proud. Since Texas was favored, I wouldn't feel too bad losing to them, except for the fact I hate Mack Brown and hate seeing him vindicated for all his shit. Well, at least he's still championshipless.

Initially, I'd heard that Tice had only been given a "vote of confidence", which in the NFL is essentially "dead coach walking". Then I heard that they actually picked up his option and my heart sank, but my guess is that McCombs likes him because he's a cheap option (I believe Tice is one of if not the lowest paid coach in the NFL) and would rather rehire him than have to spend money to get a real coach. As for Dennis Green, much as I did like him, most of the Viking populace had become rather tired of him by the time of his firing.

Carolina won today (which I'm glad, I would like to see them make the playoffs after fighting back), which means Minnesota needs Philly to beat St Louis tomorrow to back into the playoffs

Watched the full collection of deleted scenes. A strange inconsistency... from the "138th Episode Spectacular" they show four deleted scenes from the season. Two are in the box set (Homer dealing Blackjack to Bond, Apu's funny Indian film) but they left out the classic breakdancing Richard Simmons robot.
