  1. Not seein the "less skilled" at all. For everyone that Rave and Walters both fought in ROH, Walters had the better match. Walters' matches with Homicide, Chris Daniels, CM Punk, Chad Collyer in chicago, and Matt Stryker in Boston were all way better than anything Rave produced in ROH. It's amazing to me that we're supposed to act like it's grossly unfair for a guy who never produced in the ring to lose his job. Is it Gabe's fault Rave didn't have good matches in ROH?
  2. I take issue with this. He is making more money with a garaunteed Z-1 contract now than he was making with WWE. He is also getting to do what he loves in an unrestricted environment. Quite the unfair statement.
  3. He sold on the first lariat (on the floor), sold on the second lariat (near the end), but didn't on the third. While that hurt the match, Takayama had also moved away from the arm, and was going for bombs at the end, so it shouldn't have hurt as much.

    Indy MOTY

Rob Naylor saw 4/12 live, and saw this live, and said this was better. The same goes for some others in the audience that made the road trip. For me, thus far the MOTY is Dragon-Homicide from 4/24.
  5. John Walters had a losing streak angle too. The difference is, he was gaining steam and getting over, while having good matches. Jimmy was not having good matches. Jimmy Rave did lay a goose egg in the FOH. Remind me how Walters did? To act like the NYC bus trip decides everything is absurd, I was in Philly, the crowd HATED him. They wanted him to lose and get fired. His comebacks got booed, etc, and being sloppy as usual didn't help. If Walters is nowhere near Jimmy skillwise, howcome he was able to have good matches while Jimmy wasn't? Why was John's match with Daniels roughly 10 billion times better than Jimmy's? Why does a match in a guantlet not count, yet Walters getting a shot at Punk in the first round of a tournament count? The idea that he only didn't get over because he lost a lot is hilarious, he didn't get over because his matches sucked, and he has the personality range of a turnip. Becoming a star in ROH is not rocket science. All you have to do is have good matches. Jimmy never had a match over *** in ROH in a year. Unfortunately, this is obviously an angle, and Jimmy Rave will be back to stink up cards with bland, average matches. What are you talking about? They have had gimmicks since the first show.
  6. First, I think this obviously SCREAMS "work" but if not then I won't miss him. He had multiple chances to put on great matches and never did. The crowd in Philly absolutely HATED him too. It's going to be a work imo anyway.
  7. It was one injured guy fighting alone and just bumping for 3 bigtime tag teams. He apparently took an absolute shitkicking.
  8. I saw that 3-way coming and I don't really like it. The time limit prevents it from really being anything special, and frankly I wanted a singles match with Cide/Hart.
  9. Another one gets to joins our cult
  10. Good lord, are they serious? Collyer is similar to Dean Malenko in style, but in terms of actual work he's not on the same universe. Hernandez is a total botch-machine too. At least we may see Konnan get paralyzed by Hernandez. TNA always gives me something to look forward to.
  11. He's rock solid. You're not going to get any classics, but he's good. Comparing to Dean is way overdoing it though, he's nowhere near that level.
  12. Daniels is injured, won't be able to make that show. Look for an announcement as late as they can possibly make it so people will already be committed to the show. I wonder what they'll do with Styles...
  13. Not sure if Feinstein would really be material for wrestlecrap, since it's supposed to be about incredibly stupid stuff that happens on-air. Maybe Low Ki popping "E" during a match from ROH will be in there one day, but this is just a lock
  14. Wrestling naked would be different too, it doesn't make it a good idea. Someday this is going to be one huge, hilarious chapter in a wrestlecrap book.
  15. It's great that you're not an ROH mark, we love your unbiased opinion. If you weren't braindead it would be really worth listening to
  16. Too funny. Just pathetic.
  17. It is most definitely NOT a work. He is emailing friends that he seperated his shoulder. He worked last night to drop the junior tag titles...he wouldnt drop out of the biggest junior tournament in the world for some goofy angle.
  18. Who does CM Punk think he is to demand the right to sell his labor on days they were promised that freedom when the contracts were signed? What an outrage!

    TNA IMPACT

Jarrett is sure "recognizable"...as a midcard country singer, and as WCW champ during the death run.

    TNA IMPACT

To be honest, I really like the idea behind this, and with some tweaking it could work. First of all, if the show is going to be based around X division nuttiness, I think TNA needs to bring in the great guys for that kind of stuff. Styles and Sabin are perfect for it, but Shane just sucks and Skipper blows more spots than a backyarder. ROH has actually been having a lot of matches in the "X" style lately, the 6-way mayhem matches that have been tearing down the house at every show of theirs. If TNA can look at the one from say, 4/23 in MN...they would have a model to base their big matches on. Guys they should bring in, ignoring my ROH bias that wants to keep them in Ring Of Honor (this policy is going to be over soon anyway, by the looks of it): Jack Evans--PERFECT for multi-man matches, absolutely becomes the star of every one he's in. Matt Sydal--Incredible, explosive talent. A more high-flying oriented, greener version of AJ Styles. Jimmy Jacobs--The gimmick will get over, and you do need SOME bases for these matches that can carry the work part while others fly around. Teddy Hart--Duh. Jay Lethal--The most underrated worker on the Indies. Oozes talent, charisma, etc. Bobby Quance--A great flier, and as strong a technical worker as AJ Styles or Christopher Daniels. This kid has it all. There are loads more too, but just saying....I like the direction, but they need to get the best guys doing it, and it could be a really cool show.
  21. I think it's pretty clear that this is foreshadowing the end of the "no ROH" policy. Punk is ROH's trainer, he bleeds ROH, he works in the office, he helps with booking... he would never leave, and I know Joe carries the belt around with him and takes great pride in it. The "not main event material" comment about Punk is really silly. He hasn't done a straight edge promo in Ring Of Honor since....like October or November. He still had incredible heel heat at the last Philly show, and he still gets more reaction than just about anyone on the show. He is great on the mic far beyond the straight edge stuff.
  22. My only complaint is that they chose the wrong Benoit-Black Tiger match, but I assume the 96 one is being saved for Eddy's DVD.
  23. This is really cool, now if only we could get good matches up there, it'd be awesome.
  24. I think it goes even further beyond that. I remember when WWE was going to bring up a guy from dev and have him do a RVD-ripoff gimmick, do all the same moves, similar mannerisms, etc just to prove they could do it without having him in. I don't think Vince ever had or has intentions to make RVD a main eventer, but they like his merch sales, so he gets to stay around.
  25. Blaming Eddy...wow, what a gem. Try checking out the weekly observer ratings numbers for Guerrero, he's the only thing keeping the show from sinking to Thunder levels.
