I caved it in and bought it two hours ago. I just passed page 100. It's been really entertaining so far, the road stories he shares are hilarious. I'm guessing it gets even better once he gets into WCW/WWF.

I'm just assuming that Ric Flair and Vince McMahon know best for when it's time for Flair to leave. Flair still has some credibility and he's still getting a reaction (even though it has nothing to do with his current ringwork, rather his affilliation and his legend status), so once Ric Flair decides to call it a career, then I'll accept that. I just don't think he should retire now as long as it's keeping his morale up and not being a bother to anybody backstage.

The only respectable one on that list is Montel. And he got busted for carrying weed.

That match did indeed boost Ric's confidence and he got the tribute he deserved afterwards. Good for him. Why is that such a bad thing? Flair's obviously past his prime and can't hold up with the rest of the guys in the ring, but is he really that unwatchable or are you just finding something to complain about? Obviously, he's having the time of his life and the fans are still reacting, so more power to him.

The only thing stopping me from running out and getting this book right now is the $40.00 price tag. I only have $35 on me right now.

It's hard to say if I agree with you or not on most of the points you made in this column. I don't have any of the tapes from 2001 and can vaguely remember most of the storylines and matches from this time. That's why I'm a fan and you're the critic. There's no way I could debate with you on any points you made in your column. With four hours or more of wrestling a week (and this was pre-brand split), and multiple storylines going on, it was hard to judge any of the storylines by themselves rather than judging a single show for its entertainment value. Still, it was a very well written column. Are you only doing 2001, or are you doing other years as well?

XFL How do they plan to air RAW live?

Ingrid is totally annoying. Neither of the two Schmos are as loveable as Matt (Joe Schmo the First? Schmo Sr? Schmo Classic?). I saw the DVD in stores today, but didn't buy it. I know I'm gonna regret that. Anyways, I knew it was Ernie once Piper started hating on him. Gerard, Bryce, and Ralph + Montecore are saving this show.

Ugh. Imagine if the contestants on "American Idol" had have sang the SAME SONGS over and over again with the odd one being something new for the select performer, but still a bad version of a song that has been repeated many times by more talented performers. That is this show. Minus the whole singing part.

If I was reviewing this movie for a magazine, I'd judge it entirely on the cinematography, and the text in the end credits. Whatever I'd say about the movie's context, I know I'd get tons and tons of hate mail for it either way. No mercy for the movie critics.

There's one reason as to why the producers voted as they did. They want a reality show. Not a legit competition. I guess a bunch of actual comedians wouldn't make for entertaining TV. I guess they'd be too much alike-- they'd actually be likeable, funny people. Instead, they chose a bunch of diverse, stereotypical duds-- the obnoxious one always looking for attention (Glass), the gay guy (Ant), the freak (London), the loudmouth Italian (..the loudmouth Italian) and the rest (slut, nerd, the Jewish stud, etc.) Going with basic reality TV formula, they grouped all these people together to play off eachother. Really, this is no more different than one of the other two thousand reality shows out there.

WHY is attire so important to wrestling fans? I remember reading dozens of posts of ticked off fans after SummerSlam 2002 because Shawn Michaels wasn't wearing his broken heart tights. And then angry fans because Undertaker didn't wear purple gloves or a purple tie at WrestleMania XX. So the most important thing about a wrestler's comeback-- is his attire? Why does this matter so much? Is it because you remember the wrestler through his attire, not his wrestling? Is it because you can remember your favourite moments through picturing the attire (Shawn wearing those ugly white heart pants at WMXII)? How can a wrestler's popularity be determined through his fashion sense? Does anybody have an answer?
