  1. Ok, maybe the GM will listen to me this year after passing up on RJ "All I'll do is hit 50 HRs" Frost. Now GM, I want Winston Ghandi. I like the idea of having a .432 OBP guy hitting in front of me. Ghandi and Hunter in front of me would make me happy.
  2. You've been arbitration eligible. This is your contract year coming up.
  3. Damn, I was on a 183 RBI pace. Stupid concussion.
  4. The Eagles aren't going to take TO. Besides his attitude, the fact that he is 30 is what will chase Reid away. The name getting thrown around in this area is Justin McCareins is the guy they are going to make a run at. I would prefer Darrell Jackson, because then that leaves enough money to go after Ogunlaye (sp?) of the Dolphins. They need someone to get to the QB. And for all the grief they get, the Eagles front office knows how to set up a deal for restricted FAs that their teams can't match.
  5. There were quite a few boos in the crowd for Goldberg's entrance, so I wouldn't write Lesnar's F5 pop off as just a Holy Shit pop.
  6. This pretty much sums up my feelings of the movie. I was bored as hell until they got to the Ashton parts of the movie. I thought there were too many times where they threw humor in the movie. I really did not like Amy Smart in this movie (and I am a fan of hers). And the ending was ridiculously predictable, but I hated it. It went against the whole point of the movie. SPOILER The ending DID make sense, in that meeting her at the end would have been predictable, and would have made everything "perfect". The whole point of him trying to fix everything was that despite solving one problem, NOTHING is supposed to be perfect. Having them meet again and live "happily ever after" would have gone against the point of the movie. SPOILER (this is going to be a pain in the ass til these get fixed) I thought the ending where he went to her, said get away, and that was the end was entirely predictable. My problem is that I don't see that as some big development. By that point he knew he couldn't have her and we saw that she turns out best in the reality where she never gets with him (where she gets with Lenny). So they build it up that you are supposed to feel heartbreak because he was willing to give her up to save everything, but I don't get that emotional impact since we know if they get together the best thing that happens to her is she dies. And once we get back to present day everything is all "happily ever after". All four characters turn out well with the only thing "wrong" is them not knowing each other.
  7. I bet the Texans have to feel pretty shitty now. Since they gave up their second round pick this year to take Tony Hollings in the supplemental draft last summer and ended up having Dominick Davis play great.

  9. Claims adjuster for a TPA. Which I am currently at jackalacking around on here. No one has the decency to hurt themselves in the winter.
  10. Well, I am certainly not going to say it never happens, but at Phillies, Sixers, and Flyers games they are more isolated incidents as opposed to Eagles common stories.
  11. I do need to point out that from what I have seen Flyers fans are more likely to fight each other than opposition fans.
  12. I do have to agree with al that the football fans are a different animal. Flyers fans only seem to get nuts at the opposing fans when they start something. During the Leafs-Flyers series last year I only remember one incident and I know that the woman wearing the Leafs jersey was an instigator. Not justifying it, but stuff like that will happen everywhere. Then at one of the Phillies-Red Sox games I went to this year the most anti-Red Sox stuff was booing down their cheers. No real animosity. There was actually someone from Indianapolis sitting behind me at that game and the only crowd reaction he questioned was the fans booing when other fans drop foul balls. Don't go to Sixers games, but I can't really recall hearing about any incidents.
  13. I'll just ditto all of this
  14. "If HHH and HBK can go out there and hit **** without trying" Remind me how much time they got for their match compared with what the cruisers get.
  15. I can live with Jackson's drops if he will make plays. What I would do is not trade up in the draft. I would sign Jackson, then use the 1st round pick on Jonathan Vilma and then use the second round pick on a WR (since there are about 8 or 9 legit WR prospects). It may be necessary to trade up in the 2nd round, but I would do that if necessary. Fuck give me Jonathan Vilma and either Lee Evans, Michael Clayton or Reggie Williams and I'll call that a good day.
  16. Option 3 I typically end up reading everything on the site. But if the forums were gone I would probably only check the site once in a blue moon. I have to say I like Truitt's reviews the best.
  17. I find it amusing that the Aints fan is the one to say this. The hit was not a cheap shot. The whistle didn't blow so Favors did his job. I was more pissed that not one of the offensive lineman came over to back up McNabb. The loss was certainly not McNabb's fault. He played well and could only be responsible for one of those INTs at most. The DBs owned the Philly WRs, because of that they could tee off on the pass rush. Adding up to Carolina doing their job and winning. If the Eagles do not sign Darrell Jackson or TO this offseason all hell is going to break loose. Even the normally sane WIP midday show was drumming up a sentiment of either Thrash goes or we go.
  18. I am feeling a little good and a little pissed right now. If you told me the receivers would blow, McNabb would get hurt, and the Eagles would only be down 7-3 I'll take it. But Carolina is the type of team that I don't want hanging around. This is the type of team you need to make them feel like they don't belong in the conference title game.
  19. WTF was that?!? A FG there and it's over, why would you force that.
  20. That would require the writers to watch Heat, though. Lord knows we can't put that much stress on them.
  21. He has always been right on that line of shitstirrer/dirty, but I never remember him being an out and out pussy.
  22. I was just going to say this, but you beat me to it. Just truly horrible. Jason What happened here? In the 1994 World Cup, Columbia was heavy favorites. A Columbian player knocked the ball into his own goal and cost them the game. When he returned hope he got shot.
  23. Yeah, it was with about 90 seconds left, you might have been done by then (I know that feeling lately).
  24. TC, you reminded me in the Eagle thread, when did Tie Domi become such a coward? I know he has always been a shit stirrer, but I remember him at least fighting the Brashear's of the world. I expected more of him than sucker punching Eric Weinrich in the back of the head.
  25. Yeah, they were both stupid, but I just didn't want it played up as a Philly fan did something stupid with no provocation.
