I am too worried that the Glanville signing is just something to get an ally of the organization in the clubhouse. After last year, they probably went looking for one of their "guys". If they trade Utley or Michaels for something good, then I won't mind this signing. But if Michaels and/or Utley get sent down I won't be too pleased. Especially in the case of Utley. At that point the organization is saying that their top hitting prospect can't keep Doug Glanville out of the 25 man roster. That can't be too good for the kids to see. Hopefully that Utley/Kim deal is still on the table.

What do stats mean? Culpepper has better running stats, because their system has him run more, especially in goal line situations. And you try to tell me there wouldn't be a little difference in stats if McNabb had Moss to just lob the ball up to at will. Football is not like baseball, where stats tell the story.

Considering the Angels offense ranged from 17th-20th in most of the major offensive categories (OBP, SLG, OPS, HR, Runs scored) I wouldn't say they were really solid. Also, Peter Gammons is saying that they are looking to move some salary, probably in the form of Washburn or Ortiz. So lose a starter and that means they move Sele back into the rotation. All of a sudden their rotation looks to be a good bit worse than Oakland.
