  1. You might be catching me during the right week. I have Peyton Manning and the Baltimore defense. So one of those will affect the other, costing me some points. And I am scared to death of Westbrook this week. There is no way I am benching him on the streak he is on, but if Atlanta loses on Saturday (completely possible) then Phi/Dallas becomes meaningless and players might start to get rolled back. And to make matters worse my third back is Goings, who is going to be in the deciding game, so I won't be able to replace Westbrook in my lineup if Atlanta loses.
  2. Tough break for Michaels Mark coming up 4 points short of the 8th playoff spot. Was well on his way to it when Brown had to leave the game.
  3. I like how they have an all-purpose position, no DTs and no safeties. Don't want to make voters actually have to look at the lesser publicized positions (DT or S) or make the tough decisions (Peterson/Arrington/Bush for two RB spots).
  4. It appears that the matchups are set (just left to find out who faces Randy Orton) in the Yahoo league. #1 Randy Orton vs. #8 AgentBond/Michaels Mark (If Chris Brown scores 18 it is MM, if not it is AB) #2 Serenity vs. #7 Crimson Storm #3 Foreign Objects vs. #6 Injuried Prone DTD (Gotham scored enough to leapfrog IP DTD, blessing in disguise however to face the Holmesless Foreign Objects as opposed to the hottest team in the league right now in Paper Tigers) #4 Paper Tigers vs. #5 Gotham Harlequins (as previously stated, tough luck for Gotham winning themselves into a tougher game)
  5. God Maguire is such a fucking tool. One knee = two feet dip shit.
  6. Can we blame them all and get rid of them?
  7. Josh Parry just killed Shawn Springs
  8. He did touch the face mask. And he did it while Portis was going down and Portis head turned just a little, when those things happen it is always going to be 15. When you look at the replay it should only have been a five, but a ref will always call that 15 on the spot.
  9. I can't believe how vanilla Jim Johnson is calling the game tonight. The Eagles are getting no pressure with the front four, but they aren't blitzing to make up for it. They should be blitzing the christ out of Ramsey, and given their history with him they know it.
  10. ::settles in to watch public execution of Eli Manning::
  11. I think Belichek knows enough to feed Dillon the ball today. Get him a big game against Cincy and he will stay happy the rest of the year (not that he hasn't behaved so far, but it never hurts). And Jones > Smith
  12. Dillon and if Jones is facing the Saints like I think go with him. If not go with James.
  13. http://www.nydailynews.com/sports/story/260969p-223513c.html Apparently the Phillies turned down an Utley/Madson for Hudson deal. While I am a big fan of both Utley and Madson, I would have had a hard time walking away from this deal (unless Hudson made it absolutely clear he would not sign an extension). Give me a rotation of Hudson/Lieber/Wolf/Padilla/(Myers/Floyd) and I would be very pleased. Since Utley would be moved, go ahead and bring back Polanco who is no slouch, essentially makes it a Madson/Utley for Hudson/Polanco deal.
  14. Contact Hitting - 3 Power Hitting - 9 Strike Zone Judgment - 8 Defense - 0
  15. I am just thankful the Phillies offered Doug Glanville arbitration (is it possible for an arbitrator to rule below the league minimum?). And I know Jayson Stark is so he will still have material for his column. Remember kiddies, being popular with the sportswriters > ability.
  16. It is nice that you can guarantee a hypothetical situation. And there is certainly fault with the voters. Don't think they are getting away blame free. They are a fraud.
  17. From ESPN.com: "I thought it was a little classless how Coach Brown was begging for votes after the [Texas A&M] game," Rodgers said. "I think a team's record and the way you play should speak for itself, and you shouldn't have to complain about the BCS system. Coach Tedford isn't going to, although he's frustrated just like we are. I think we're a bigger team, classier than that." Gee Rodgers sure lit into him there didn't he. I fail to see how these comments are a problem. As for the campaigning, Brown has had time to campaign for votes being idle this week. Cal had to worry about a game this week, a game that ended late enough that no one would be awake in the east or midwest to hear his campaigning afterward. So it would be pretty pointless.

    NFL Week 13

The Eagles game is winnable as they will have nothing left to play for by week 17. They already clinched a first round bye and (if the tiebreakers fall right) could clinch home field throughout if they win and the Falcons lose next week. Edit: That does appear it would happen as at worst for the Eagles (if they lose to the Rams in a couple weeks) they would have to go to the fourth tiebreaker which is strength of victory (Eagles +159 points on the season, Falcons -10)

    NFL Week 13

I think it is silly to say shitty, overweight running back considering he has gone for 100 yards against everyone since that game. OMG, these Packer assholes trying to get cheap points against Philly's defense by going for it on 4th down.

    NFL Week 13

Agreed, but it makes me wonder why Denver's offensive line coach has never really left for a higher position. We see the success he has with so many different backs (Portis, Anderson, Davis, Droughns, etc.) He did. Alex Gibbs was their O-Line coach last year and went to the Falcons.
  21. Alge Crumpler is a no-brainer After that it is just how much you think of the madness picks. I would go down the list of already declared keepers and see who those teams are releasing. If you think you can get players in the madness round then dump the rest, if not then I might keep a Keyshawn or Fitz just to have at least one decent receiver going into the draft.
  22. But regardless of who the better opponent is, I believe if CU wins they get an automatic BCS slot. And that would put CU and OU in the BCS. I seriously doubt the Big XII would be able to put a third, in Texas, in a BCS game.
  23. Doesn't Colorado get the automatic bid if they win the Big 12?
  24. How much are they paying Belichek? Just curious to see where he compares to the almighty legends (Parcells, Gibbs) who are returning for millions and doing jack.
  25. Sharpe/Chmura/Novacek/Brent Jones/Bavaro were all important cogs in their team's offenses. You, likely, aren't going to win if the Tight End is your only go to receiver, but it helps tremendously for a QB to have the safe throw in the middle of the field which is what the TE often provides.
