  1. Kayfabe wise, when someone is crotched up top, why do they cooperate with the guy going for the superplex instead of just shoving him off the top rope? Obviously they shove him off when it's booked that way, but to me the superplex always seems contrived because the recipient has to stand up and help the attacker get the move off.
  2. Did Godfather/Dlo vs. Bossman/Bull from WM2000 have any build to it?
  3. Hmmm...works for me. http://superherohype.com/gallery/Blade/Bla...lls/tripleh.jpg
  4. Don't know if this deserves it's own thread, but if not then delete it.
  5. Love that move. Great to see Storm heelin' it up.
  6. I wish Storm was in a match at Backlash.
  7. To give Richards a good reason to attack Rico post match. Richards was pissed that he lost the match, so he took his revenge on Rico. Oh, and seeing that Christian clip also makes me hope they move poor Spike to the Cruiserweight division. Or he could have already been pissed that Rico kissed him, beat the shit out of him, hit the Stevie-T, pinned him, and THEN bash his knees post match. Makes Stevie look a bit more credible.
  8. www.newecw.com Hopefully Heat or Velocity is a whole new show in a few weeks... Or they'd use a different time slot. Who cares?
  9. I know it's just a Heat match, but I don't see the logic to having a guy win a match right before needing time off for his knees anyways.
  10. The other matches tonight are Storm vs. jobber and Jindrak/Cade vs. Hurricane/Rosey.
  11. UAB beats Kentucky! To Heat we go!
  12. Keep me updated, I'm watching the end of UK vs. UAB.
  13. Why? What did I miss?
  14. This may be stupid, but is it guaranteed that those "extra" PPV's are going to be RAW and SD PPVs? Maybe they'll be for the new ECW fed Vince is tinkering with doing...
  15. Ouch. Maybe not...from 1wrestling... "I stumbled upon an interesting thing earlier today about the WWE.com homepage. This could be a preview of things to come and I don't know how it's been like this but it is quite a finding. Here's what you do: Type in www.newecw.com on your address bar and you'll be sent directly to WWE.com. I'm not sure why this is but it could be a preview of things to come, I guess. Maybe a new show? I don't know for sure but I think this is an interesting piece of news."
  16. When Yokozuna won the 1993 Royal Rumble, was it common knowledge he was going to, even though he hadn't been there very long? Or did it catch people by surprise?
  17. Does Kane have a singles win over UT? Yes, he beat him on RAW before KOTR 98 to get the shot at Austin.
  18. DAMMIT!!!!! God I suck at life.
  19. Let me just add these pictures to the thread:
  20. When's the projected release date?
  21. Are you talking televised matches? Because obviously if you look at the WWF results from the late 80's when Hogan was around, just find his opponent of the month.
  22. Good point.
  23. Ohhh shit. I remember that Thunder. They come back from a commercial break, with a lead-in being a toy commercial where Nash was pinned. Nash: "Man, I even do a job in the toy commercial." For whatever reason, right before Russo came in someone in the WCW Production department suddenly began producing these badass Meng videos that would air before he came out. So Meng squashes the jobber and Nash says something to the extent of, "You know he had no chance because Meng had a video package." LOL. Some more stuff, from DDTdigest of the 10/14/99 Thunder: "It's Wesley Snipes! Oh wait, it's just Booker T." Nash says he has a video package for the fans. It's a replay of the Goldberg-Sid Vicious situation. Nash is doing a John Facenda-like NFL Films narration. I'm dyin' here. "Bill Goldberg - a bald-headed man with a tattoo - who only has one loss - to the great warrior - ..Kevin Nash - ..standing in the frozen tundra of Lambeau Field --- (Sid comes on) - ..Sid Vicious- .. 6 foot ten - ..290! - ..no - .315! -..no -.350! -.no FIVE HUNDRED AND NINETY SEVEN POUNDS!" Oh man, this is priceless. And it goes on. This is great. Beyond words. At the end Tenay says, "shades of Mystery Science Theater." That was good. Tenay states that a tag team matchup has been signed for later tonight. The Total Package-Rick Steiner vs. Buff Bagwell-La Parka. What??? Nash says half the guys didn't show up tonight, so we had to book it earlier today. Awesome. Tenay is smiling and says, "Welcome to the all shoot edition of Thunder." Nash says these guys should know no one gets beat after a sweet package (montage) like that before the match. All shoot-TV indeed. Nash said the BroncoBuster would have been the "Old Glory Skidmarks" had Duggan done it.
  24. I think they wanted to keep him as the upset kid, so the theory was that losing here would do that for him, because he couldn't _always_ win and remain the big underdog. I don't think he was injured or anything, though, and by Survivor Series 93 he survived with Jannetty and then they won the tag titles shortly after that.
  25. What the? Everyone who teams with Billy Gunn turns a little gay? I actually wouldn't be surprised if they formed a tag team - Gunn sucks in singles, but has won the tag titles zillions of times with different people - why not put him with Holly to see what happens? Besides, they could have the best (or worst) tag team name ever: Hardcore Ass.
