Cool pictures, man. Wish I could have been there.

From pwinsider.com Orlando Jordan beat Chuck Palumbo with a roll up. Both guys got a decent response coming out. People knew who Jordan was, strangely. Boring match in which absolutely nothing happened. The World's Greatest Tag Team beat Billy Gunn and Hardcore Holly. Someone needs to tell me why Billy Gunn is still employed. Another boring match, in which nothing much happened. At one point Holly mooned WGTT to reveal he was wearing a thong. Billy Kidman beat Bradshaw (!!!) with a roll up. Bradshaw came out and started talking about how bad Scotland was, I have to agree with him. Kidman came out to absolutely no reaction. Another nothing match. Kidman teased the Shooting Star but didn't actually do it, which is good for his health as he can barely hit the thing these days. Jamie Noble beat Nidia in a match where Noble was blindfolded. Noble was introduced as Jamie "By God" Noble: The Redneck Messiah. From what I hear this was the same match that took place at No Way Out and is the same match they've been doing on this UK tour. After the match Noble challenged Fit Finlay (who was at ringside) to a match, stating that he was in front of his home town. Note: Finlay is Irish, not Scottish. Finlay accepted and... Fit Finlay beat Jamie Noble. Basically a squash with Finlay getting in a few power moves and then scoring the quick pinfall. Paul Heyman came out and started running down Scotland. Some fan yelled "You Suck!" to which he replied "Yes I do, but it was your mother who taught me how". He also said "Stop chanting ECW, it's dead and I wish you all were". He started talking about how Cena was going to drop the US title which of course brought out Cena. Cena dissed Heyman for a while before Rhyno ran out. John Cena over Rhyno. Basically Cena nailed the FU and got the count and that was that. I guess Rhyno is injured, hence the short match. Chavo Guerrero Jr defeated Rey Mysterio Jr and Little Guido (I'm not calling him "Nunzio"). Rey got a great response coming out, he then picked a kid from ringside that was dressed as him and put him on his shoulders. The kid must have been over the moon. Decent match which saw Guido eliminated first. Chavo got the win with a cheap roll up. After the match Guido came back and attacked Rey, with help from Chavo. Rey then got the best of them and hit a double 619. Intermission. Rikishi & Scotty Too Hotty beat The Bashams. Boring match. Scotty hit the worm then Rikishi nailed one of The Bashams with a superkick and got the pinfall. Torrie Wilson beat Dawn Marie. Sadly this wasn't a bra and panties match. Dawn looked ridiculously hot. Pretty dreadful match which saw Torrie get the win fairly quickly. Eddy Guerrero beat The Big Show. Not a bad match, here. Great to see Eddy in person. Show bumped the ref and Eddy was ready to nail Show with the belt but Chavo came out and stopped him. This then brought out Rikishi and Scotty, then The Bashams, then WGTT, then Cena. Cena hit Big Show with the FU then Eddy nailed the frog splash for the pin. After the match the faces brought out Nidia and Torrie and they all danced to send everyone away happy. Overall, a fairly uneventful yet pleasing show. Although it wasn't worth The FWA show on Friday is likely to blow it out the water. I laughed as I seen people who bought APA shirts (For a pop) at the show, seen as the team is now forever defunct.

That's pretty damn funny. It was a really cool little angle on RAW...after he beat Razor he had that rematch where he ran away with the money, and I know he also beat one of the Beverlys and Ted Dibiase...anyone else?
-
How did the whole 123 Kid storyline with Razor come about in spring/summer of 1993? Had Waltman worked his ass off with the WWF long enough as a jobber that they decided to give him a push? Was he already friends with Hall, who got him the push? How did he go from jobber to fulltime roster member?

I think it's quite obvious to all intelligent wrestling fans that Luger and Giant Gonzalez would easily have been the greatest tag team ever.
-
So much of the stuff at the end was great - Shane Helms was really getting into his own, EZ Money as Jason Jett was doing nicely, you had the Cruiserweight tag team division...great stuff.

When did Benoit start using the Crossface?

Thanks mang.

Come on...that was more of a prance.

I was watching my Royal Rumble 2004 DVD tonight and was thinking about something. Has a winner of a Royal Rumble ever _run_ to the ring? The theory is that since the winner of the Rumble is usually one of the bigger stars, they usually walk to the ring to milk their entrance pop/heat. So is running down to the ring the first signal that someone won't win the Rumble?

...who lost his first match when LUDVIG BORGA pinned him with one finger...

I remember a WCW Thunder episode where Kevin Nash did color. Buff Bagwell was getting beaten up by some heels when La Parka ran in for the save. Tenay: Why is La Parka saving Bagwell? Nash: Because we got to the booking meeting late today. Tenay: It's the all-shoot edition of Thunder.

Yeah man. Hunter obviously believes that offbeat shenanigans have no place in wrestling.

It must be freezin' down in hell.

Kidman/London vs. WGTT for 15-20 minutes...probably would be as good as WGTT vs. Kidman/Rey at Vengeance.
-
Ah, so he's yet to win a match in WWE yet. Gotcha. I think he's using the 450.

Lying on his back looking up at the lights. They sure love to have Demott pick out his "rookie mistakes" post match, too, don't they?
-
Unfortunately I already had the result of this match spoiled for me by a post on the ROH forum.

Look out Guerrero and Benoit! You'd better up Chuck Palumbo doesn't end up on your show!

Lesnar's just one guy. A great main event talent, sure, but still just one guy. They'll just keep Angle at the top and give Show an even bigger push after his ankles get better. Then they'll give Train a US title level push, or maybe even that new Japanese guy everyone hates. I don't think they'll do anything too drastic.

I was watching an old Superstars episode from 2/93 I got off Kazaa tonight and saw a Doink the Clown versus a Jobber match. Doink comes to the ring with a green balloon that's shaped like a penis, and then after he wins the match with the stump puller he sticks it in his opponent's face before handing it to him! Did Doink usually do stuff like this? The announcers didn't mention the balloon, but the show _was_ airing on Saturday morning!

Sorry man!

Zebrahead - MFZB Right before that... Quarashi - Jinx

People either loved this PPV for it's angles and payoff, others hated it for the wrestling, or lack of good matches. What do you think?

I'm actually one of the few who love Wrestlemania IX, aside from the bullshit Hogan ending. The first two matches are easy *** at least, in my book, and Perfect/Luger is shit on WAY too much, as it's actually okayish. And hell, you've got Taker vs. Gonzalez for your Wrestlecrap needs too! Plus the Doink ending rocks. Sure, it's not the best ever, but I enjoyed it. Worst? Wrestlemania 2 sucks. WM 15 and horrible matches aside from Rock/Austin which was an okayish brawl. WM6 doesn't have much memorable on it except for Hogan/Warrior and a nice Rocker/Orient Express match. There's a lot of bad matches at WM4, too, but it was a bold move to do, so I'll give 'em a break for it.
