  1. Meltzer said Jason Cross was in Atlanta tonight, so we might see that.
  2. Meltz: They are opening with RVD & Mysterio vs. Suzuki & Dupree for the tag titles. Van Dam pinned Dupreee with the frog splash after a 619. Long match. Good opener, but some rough spots. Puder vs. Mizanin is next.
  3. IC wasn't on the line. I don't remember the cruiser belt being on the line either, it may have been on Heat.... Cruiserweight open. First tag match going fairly long, which looking at the other matches tonight is not a surprise.
  4. Not WM 20...Orton's IC belt wasn't up.
  5. Judgment Day had all the titles at stake. Oh yeah, and No Mercy too.
  6. You can't fault the production team...the video packages always rock, even if they have nothing to work with.
  7. Meltzer: "Chavo Guerrero & Paul London vs. Akio & Billy Kidman is the Heat match, and if it's given any time, it could be the best match of the night. Akio pinned Chavo with a spin kick. Very good first match. Don't be surprised to see Chavo do a turn soon. They are doing a no DQ match in the main event. They are pushing JBL very hard as the underdog, as they are doing with Funaki. Usually they use reverse psychology."
  8. Anything goes in the main event...yep, they're going to the blood and table bumps.
  9. Right on his wontons. Akio with the pin? WHAHAA?
  10. Kidman sucks working as a heel. Do something interesting in the heat segment, for Christ's sakes.
  11. Wow, it's weird hearing these guys wrestle without the dubbed in Velocity pops.
  12. I'm surprised they didn't just make it a 4-corners Ironman match, to be honest. Chavo needs to go back heel.
  13. Survivor finale. That's what they'll blame the low buyrate on.
  14. I can't believe nothing else is getting added. Seriously, think about it: Spike/Funaki: Will probably go a little under 10. Big Show/Team Angle: Better not go more than 10. Jackie/Dawn: Better not go more than 5. Cena/Jesus: Better not go much more than 10. Tag title: Probably will go 15 I suppose, but that's stretching it a bit. Dixie Dogfight: Three one round minutes? This will go fast. So all that will be in under an hour for ring time, quite possibly, in a three hour show. Main event: What's that leave this...a 40-45 minute match? Maybe. Because nothing else is going long.
  15. Do you guys think this show will be better or worse than GAB and Judgment Day? Because those were two bad PPVs.
  16. They're too busy shopping for Christmas/Hannuka/Kwanza presents to write a proper show. I shook my head at the Observer notes that the writers are frustrated because they're trying to come up with stuff Vince and HHH like...but still...is that any excuse to have no interesting hype leading into this PPV? To dump the Chavo/Kidman and London/Kidman angles to the side? To switch the tag titles on the show before the PPV? To do nothing interesting with so many guys? Oh well, it's the same bitching we've been doing all year. Spike interview, treating Funaki lightly. Title change tonight, perhaps?
  17. This might be the worst build up to any PPV all year...and that's really saying something. Just an awful job by the Smackdown writers this month.
  18. Ha! My Heat match prediction was right!
  19. If the webcast price was still $17 I still wouldn't get this show. Maybe I'd get it for $5...but not much higher than that. Is anyone here going to be watching? Will there be anyone to keep us up to date?
  20. It's hard to really argue with him. I disagree that Konnan is a great talker (and if he is I haven't heard anything new from him in seven years), but most of his points are very true.
  21. Don't be surprised if Hero loses...though he has to win a Highland match sooner or later, I'm guessing it won't be quite yet.
  22. Hey, whatever floats your boat...

    Jesus?

Everyone beat me to the Jesus jokes. So I'll just say that Jesus/Aaron Aguilera/Hardkore Kidd is not very good in the ring.
  24. My picks: -JBL retains. -Cena retains -RVD and Rey retain. -Spike retains. -Team Angle somehow beats Big Show, though Big Show beats them in singles rematches somwhere down the road before moving into a feud with JBL. -Dawn wins using the ropes and Charlie misses it or something like that. -Puder beats up Miz Wow this show isn't very exciting. I'm thinking they add another match on Heat, because they only have 7 booked and after the main event I don't see anything else going over 10. (Maybe the tag, I guess) Heat match prediction: Chavo and London over Kidman and Akio.
