  1. Watch the interview. Heyman doesn't bash TNA like you guys say he is. Josh Matthews asks him if they are competition to the WWE, and he says no. He says that Jerry Jarrett is a brilliant business man though, because they've probably lost 10, 12, maybe 15 million dollars, but it was Panda's money, not theirs. He says short answer, no, they're not competition, but he wishes they were because the business needs it, but right now they're not.
  2. All reviews I have seen have said that Bischoff comes off as a total asshole on the DVD. I'm getting it in the mail tomorrow, can't wait to see it.
  3. Just got done watching Byte This, you guys really need to watch this. Just to see Heyman beaming when he talks about Tazz or RVD or Dreamer is great stuff. Brings back a lot of memories and the passion these guys all had/have for ECW is just amazing. It just shows how ECW had HEART and EMOTION, something the WWE is sorely lacking these days. Heyman telling the Super Crazy story where the fans counted "uno, dos, tres" was just fantastic. So much cool stuff on this episode, I really wish it could have gone longer. When Heyman leaves the WWE, I really want to see a shoot video of his.
  4. This is utterly hilarious. At least TNA actually pays there talent unlike Heyman was for the last year or so of ECW's existence. He's the last person that should talk about a company losing money. That's actually not what he says in the interview. He says Jerry Jarrett is brilliant because he's losing someone elses money, but he still thinks they aren't competition. He says he WISHES they were competition and that the WWE NEEDS competition right now, but he doesn't think they are.
  5. Tommy Dreamer, as they joke about why he and Heyman can never be in the same room together: "We think alike, and if we get together then something good might happen in wrestling, and we can't have that."
  6. Paul goes off on how Taz with one Z would have been fired from the WWE because he says Taz told him the truth back in the ECW days and argued about the product because they cared. Heyman says today people couldn't handle it if you told them that they should go a different direction and that what they are doing is the wrong way to go. Awesome.
  7. Heyman talks about King Mabel and the crowd chanting ECW during the coronation. He talks about all the cartoonish characters back in the day and how ECW provided a different product. I wonder what Paul thinks of things today... EDIT: I guess this really isn't about Heyman bashing TNA, my fault.
  8. This is really good stuff, you people really should watch this interview.
  9. Anyone know why I can see Byte This but can't hear the show? EDIT: Nevermind. I'll watch the show and see what I think.
  10. Yep, pretty much.
  11. This is a weird ass South Park.
  12. I think Jimmy's funny. I always laugh at "orange you glad I didn't say ban-nee-nee" Yeah, I caught the 6-0 slide too. I think it's good so far, but we'll see how they finish it.
  13. Should be a fun show. Cartman and Jimmy = comic gold. I'll be watching.
  14. What should I be noticing in the Douglas pictures above? Also, does anyone have any pre-steroid HHH pics? When he first debuted in 96 he was a lot smaller, but when he returned from injury in 98 he was huge. Another good example is the Rock. Look at him when he returned and turned heel in 1997, joining the Nation. He's MASSIVE. Then look at him at Wrestlemania 20.
  15. Franky and Beef were great as always. Franky is one of the best promo men on the indies, IMO, if you don't mind the vulgar language of course. Eddy getting head during the show was...interesting.
  16. I hope they do a tournament for the belt and not some lame ass battle royal.
  17. That's the important point. Fans can handle long term builds and storylines in other shows, why should the WWE be any different if they handled their storylines intelligently?
  18. Featuring El Generico, Kevin Steen, Beef Wellington, Pierre Carl Ouellet, Franky The Mobster, Kurt Lauderdale, Damian, 2.0 and much more leading up to this Saturday's show, Born To Bleed. http://www.syndicatewrestling.com/images/m...odstreamnov.wmv
  19. I know the obvious, like big changes in physique, roid rage, and acne on the back, etc. Are their any other signs of steroid abuse? Do you guys think that 90-95% of wrestlers (WWE, TNA, major indy guys, foreign wrestlers) are on steroids, or not that much? Also I heard a Raven interview where he said if you're smart you can use steroids safely...is that true?
  20. So they aren't going to hire any more cruiserweights? When guys like Rey retire the division will just be gone? I can see that happening... CM Punk is 6-1, about 220, so he's about as "small" as the WWE is willing to go. I really doubt he's going to get a contract if they're only looking for hosses. Samoa Joe is big enough, but I don't really see anyone else in the indies really able to get a chance in the WWE...which is why I guess Vince wanted to do this Tough Enough, since most of them are big guys. I'm sure we'll be seeing Matt Morgan again soon. And Heidenreich will stick around. Does OVW have any other hosses left?
  21. I like the idea. I've seen something like that done in an e-fed before where a big feud ended where they couldn't face each other for a year but stayed competitive throughout that year and then fought each other the second the year time period expired. Your idea is a good one I think. The more long term planning, the better.
  22. Although WWE cannot officially make it a rule for fear of a discrimination lawsuit, WWE talent relations has the opinion that new wrestlers must be 6 feet/225 lbs to have a chance in the company; the taller and heavier the better. Considering WWE's best workers tend to be right around that minimum, many worry that WWE is risking not hiring the Benoits and Angles of the future. Credit: PWInsider No surprise here, but what does that say for the cruiserweight division? And if a guy is 5-11 they won't hire him? Stupid.
  23. Rick Scaia has really long, detailed, rambling spoilers at: http://www.onlineonslaught.com/columns/oo/20041117s.shtml Some notes from that: -They had to film the end of the Chavo/Kidman match twice and they blew it both times (top rope Gory Bomb) so Chavo just did a normal one for the win. Chavo was met with absolute silence from the crowd during the match. -Crowd totally turned on the Tough Enough segment. Puder was the only one who got any positive reaction at all. -Angle's match was a squash, two minutes top. (I wonder where this little angle is going? The debut of somebody who beats him and is introduced into a big feud with Angle?)
  24. I don't see it as a big problem, HTQ. He lost clean to the biggest star on the show other than Undertaker. He has to take three months off anyways, so if they push him hard when he returns nobody is going to remember that loss to Cena other than the fact that they're 1-1 against each other now. I can see what you're saying, and I probably would have done it a different way, but I don't think this loss kills Carlito at all.
  25. I wouldn't think it would be a spoiler if say Long booked a WWE title match at the top of the show between JBL and Booker T. But I DO think it would be a spoiler if he booked a WWE title match between JBL and a mystery opponent who turned out to be a returning Rikishi or something like that. That's how I see it. Though I doubt anyone is going to watch the show to see the guy Kurt Angle ends up wrestling, so this week's Smackdown isn't a big deal in that way. I wasn't sure how to post TNA listings a few weeks ago though when the main event was Styles/Hardy vs. Jarrett/Petey but there was an oncard angle where Hardy got attacked and Killings was put in his spot. How do you list it then?
