Why would Hiroko give her man turkey right before his match? It makes him full AND sleepy! Stupid bitch.
-
Decent little opening match.
-
SD threads don't usually cause board crashes, as far as I know.
-
Damn. Holly really fucked him up.
-
Torrie is so worthless. Ahh, now we get to see Rene Dupree's busted eye, right?
-
Ahhh, gotta have a food fight.
-
Happy Thanksgiving, everybody.

Why did Sid leave the WWF in 1997?

Okay, here's the deal. You create a Survivor Series card, book the matches, and all that. Here are the details: -There will be five matches total. The first four are the usual 4-on-4 Survivor Series elimination matches. The final match will be composed of the survivors from match #1 and #4 taking on the survivors in match #2 and #3 to crown the final survivor(s). -Each team must have one wrestler famous in the 80's, one from the 90's, and one from 2000-present. Obviously some wrestlers overlap. Ric Flair, for example, could be used for all three. The final team member is a wild card, that can be from any time period. -You can use guys from WWF/WWE, NWA/WCW, ECW, TNA, or the indy scene. -Give every team a captain and a team name. -Book the match out and tell who is eliminated, how, and what time in the match, etc. Give the match a star rating at the end if you'd like. Now, some more specifics: -There can be no double countouts during the show. -You can use any gimmick a guy has had, but can't have him on the show more than once. (Once you use Goldust, you can't have Dustin Rhodes in a another match, etc.) -You must use Kid Kash. Kash has run his mouth off to the media before the show, bitching about certain things. You have therefore decided to completely BURY him in the most embarrassing way possible on this show. -Other guys you must use: Nailz, Sid (Either Sycho, Vicious, or Justice), One Man Gang/Akeem, either Shawn Michaels or Marty Jannetty (but not both), Hakushi, and Teddy Hart. -You must use either two or three out of Doink, Ron Killings, Super Dragon, Bryan Clarke/Adam Bomb/Wrath, Sandman, and Butch Reed. -One match must have a team captain be eliminated first. -The final match should end with only one or two survivors, no more. -Somebody (a manager, team member, wrestler not in the match) must turn heel on a wrestler during the show. Okay, now get booking, and happy Thanksgiving.

How did Jerry Sags of the Nasty Boys get hurt so that he had to retire?
-
What in the world of wrestling today are you thankful for? Me: -Ring of Honor -The U.S indy scene having more great matches and having so much great talent that it's ridiculous. -TNA on free TV - even if I don't like 90% of their booking, free wrestling is never a bad thing. -Benoit and Guerrero each got runs as champ. You?
-
Looking back, who are wrestlers you will consider to be guys who for whatever reason never lived up to their potential in the business and why?
-
I thought Max Moon was Konnan.

Was there any reason why Furnas and LaFon got a big push in their debut match by surviving at SS96, but then never really got pushed much after that?
-
I've heard a bunch of funny baseball injury stories (guys sleeping, the guy who tried to iron his shirt while wearing it, etc), are there any funny/stupid injury stories that are wrestling related you can think of?

Didn't they get on Fox with Saturday Night Shotgun, or something? I was younger so the memory is all hazy, but I do recall SNS being on Channel 38 (Which is Fox now, if it wasn't then), but I do know it came on at midnight. Yeah, they got Shotgun Saturday Night...but was that on Fox? I can't even remember. I remember Taker tombstoning HHH on an escalator though. And that weird shit with Sunny.

When the Hogan/Flair cage match was done at Havoc 94, was Flair planning to take some time off? Planning to retire? Why have a retirement match and then return a few months later dressed as a woman to attack Randy Savage? How many times did Nick Patrick go from heel to babyface to heel, etc?

Weezer's song "El Scorcho" mentions Public Enemy and New Jack.

A few random tidbits...if any are bullshit, blame Alex Marvez, because these are old rumors from him. -The original plan for Mind Games was HBK/Lothario vs. Vader/Cornette and Sid/Ahmed vs. Bulldog/Owen, but Ahmed got hurt and the fans didn't really care about Lothario, so they put Mankind against HBK. -The WWF briefly considered doing weekly PPVs for $9.95 back in 1996, but it was an idea that never got very far. -Stevie Richards and Saturn were very close to going to the WWF in 1996, but those negotiations broke down. The rumor is that Richards' role was going to be as Jerry Lawler's "Court Jester". -There were thoughts of totally recreating the Undertaker character after Summerslam 1996. One rumor had Jake Roberts involved in this angle in some way. -There were rumors in late 96 of WWF trying to get a slot on Fox for a late Saturday night show that could be edgier.

Were there any long term plans for Nailz at the time aside from having him feud with Undertaker? He claimed in interviews he was innocent, were they ever going to reveal that? Why did Tatanka get pushed so hard for two years but never a title? Were there ever any bigger plans for him?
-
I know Hogan had a lot of pull, but how the hell did he get Brutus Beefcake to main event Starrcade 94 with him? What was the angle leading up to that match? How long was HHH with WCW for? What caused Marc Mero to leave WCW? And why didn't WCW ever make use of Sable?
-
The Booker/Hogan/Jarrett/Russo stuff is covered earlier in the thread. Apparently the original plan was a brand extension type idea with two world titles, one on Nitro, one on Thunder, that sort of thing.
-
What led to Dustin Rhodes leaving WCW and going to the WWF as Goldust in 1995? Wasn't he getting a big push since he was Dusty's son, or had that disappeared when Hogan came in? How did Savage debut in WCW? What was his first major feud? Why did Vader leave WCW? Was Bret Hart ever close to being the "third man" in the whole Bash at the Beach 96 deal, or was it always planned to be Hogan?

Apparently Ryan Reeves, who has posted on the Rajah forums before, just posted telling people not to vote for Puder: "Guys thanks for all the support. I have made the final four and I think I have a real shot of winning this thing especially after fridays one hour special is on and I expose Dan Puder for what he really is. The guy is here for the money and has had a shitload of luck on his side. He is just doing this to market himself for ultimate fighting and if he makes it he will not last. He was never even in UFC and has only had one real fight, his other 3 were nothing. I respect him as an athlete, but I love wrestling to much to let this guy win this thing. I have two broken ribs now, but I could care less cause I want this more than anything else in life. You do not have to vote for me, but please do not vote for that prick Puder. He won the sex test cause he kissed both Mae and Moolahs asses for 2 days straight when we have been told not to do that type of shit. They obviously liked it though and picked him on that. He went last against the Bashams and that is why he was able to do alright on them since they were so tired. Than last night you will see. He got very lucky again, but it is ok. For all of you doubting me, thanks! I have more personality than these guys and I will show it more and more every week. I held back a little in the begining cause I wanted more of a serious character, but I see that will not be enough so just wait. Training is going great and I am learing a lot very fast and cannot wait to see how this all unfolds. Again thank you everyone for everything! I have been extremely busy and have very little to pretty much no time to post or even go on the internet so sorry for that. For those saying I came here for votes, why have I not posted anything on any other sites? I have been coming to the news and rumors section of this board for years so please do not think I came here just for that. Vote for who you truly want to have it, I am just telling you I want this more than anyone, thanks."
