  1. Yeah, that was just a typo by HTQ I'm sure.
  2. http://65.75.163.10/iwamidsouth/2004_11_20/ Go there to download a B-Boy vs. Webb vs. Sydal match clip.
  3. The piece says maybe 90 days. They don't have anything booked for after Final Resolution in January, as far as I know. Either Panda is going to close shop, or they're going to have to make a sale to someone else willing to invest and lose money.
  4. Wow. That sounds bad for TNA.
  5. Thanks HTQ. I'll buy you a beer if I ever meet you.
  6. Raven wanted Chastity's full name to be Chastity Slutworth when she came in to WCW.
  7. Final Four, in Feb. 1997. Vader and Steve Austin are fighting outside. Austin whips Vader towards the steps, but Vader decides at the last second he doesn't want to go into the steps, so he changes directions and crashes into some guy sitting against the guard rail.
  8. I didn't want to start a new thread for this, but can someone tell me why there are two Smackdown TV tapings back to back, one on Tuesday, 12/28, and the other on Wednesday, 12/29? Plus they have a TV taping the next Tuesday on 1/4/05, and throughout the rest of the month as well. Just a typo?
  9. Kreski writes for the Daily Show? I didn't know that. Good for him. WWE was great in 2000 up until the time Steph took over the book in October or so.
  10. How about a guy who wants to suck up to the fans to get over but always fails miserably? "So everybody...how about that local sports team? Boy, that was quite a game they had the other night, wasn't it?"
  11. Be afraid, AS...be very afraid. I see RVD and Rey winning the tag titles at Armageddon and then going on to feud with them... Uggh.
  12. I know very very little about wrestling before the WWF. What were some of the best time periods for wrestling in the different territories around the U.S, from Florida to Georgia to Tennessee to Mid-Atlantic to Mid-South to Smoky Mountain, etc? Who were the big stars in each territory and what were some of the best matches, angles, and feuds?
  13. 1999: Was injured 2000: Lost in 6-man HIAC 2002: Didn't wrestle 2003: RAW PPV, didn't wrestle
  14. That's why you hype up the "top picks" for two months with video clips, vignettes, interviews, etc.
  15. These are good names.
  16. I liked how after the first masked man was revealed as Danny Basham and then the second guy runs in and shoves Eddie off the top rope, Cole goes "hey, it's another fan! OH NO WAIT! IT'S DOUG BASHAM!"
  17. Maybe they sold that many to different outlets, but only 20-some thousand have actually sold? I don't know.
  18. Anytime brands are fighting over somebody it gets them over in the fans' eyes. Scott Steiner was over HUGE until his gay horrible shitty feud and match at the Rumble with HHH.
  19. The WWE is really retooling their roster now and debuting a lot of new faces. Why not have a draft to help debut young guys? Here's my idea: A draft would be held annually. Let's say it's in May. From Wrestlemania to the night of the draft (which would rotate being on RAW and SD every year), the WWE could run clips profiling the "top talent" in the draft, showcasing them a bit to the WWE audience, hyping them up, etc. Then on draft night, each brand gets 5 picks or something like that. They "draft" guys, who would be guys from OVW, guys on developmental deals, etc. Just think of how much Lebron James was "over" before even playing a game in the NBA. With the right amount of hype, they could get over these top draft picks before they even set foot in the ring, and make them into big stars. They could say that the draft picks would either start out on the brand, or stay in developmental training, so if a guy in reality wasn't ready yet, they could wait and debut him later, and then say "hey, that guy was RAW's #3 pick in the draft this year!" or whatever. I think it would be a different way to help create stars. Obviously it would be on the talent from there on out. But it could be something different and interesting. People get into drafts and seeing "stars of the future" and stuff like that. What do you think?
  20. I'm kind of surprised that Survivor Series 2003 outsold the Royal Rumble, but I guess it was on sale for longer in 2004 since the Rumble came out a month later.
  21. Yeah, 1995 he beat Mabel in a casket match. Also he beat RVD at Vengeance in 2001 in a hardcore match.
  22. Well, Taker sure isn't winning the belt at Armageddon.
  23. What's the point of wearing a disguise and then taking it off two seconds later?
  24. Haas heel turn coming up?
  25. Angle uses the same technique as Darkness Crabtree in Chikara. Lol.
