LIGHTNING ROUND~! This was a great show. Crystal's promo at the top of the show was a cool "counter" to Zack's at the top of last week's show. Alix and Synth vs. Skulls was WAY better than I had honestly expected, and did a great job of advancing the COD/Saints story. Drek's promo was wicked dark, I loved it. Adam's little wrap-up of the Hoff/Gunner feud was tight, I love summary stuff like that. Gunner proved how dominant he can be in emphatic fashion. LEE MARSHALL? Good, heated promo from Sly. Rick vs. SB87 surprised me, but in a good way. Fun match. LP is still telling my favorite story and the promo with all his guys was great. Cornette and Ventura are funny! Panther seems to have the fire again and that should be a good match at LTP. The 8-man was balls-deep awesome and the ending was coo. Lightning round over, heh. I'll try to write more later but no promises, but if anyone wants any specific feedback I'd be glad to indulge them. And any comments anyone has pour moi and my kayfabe-breaking ass would be welcome.

Normal, non-wrestling fans in Minnesota, by and large, know who Brock Lesnar is. He's something of a household word, not on the level of the Rock or Hogan, but I've heard 60 year old women discussiong him where I work, so there you go. As far as this all goes, I was pleased but not too surprised. Tice seemed somewhat impressed with his potential in workouts, and I think he wanted Brock at least on the practice squad so he could work with Brock some more. It'll be a tough road, but, as most people realize, if he works at the game and learns it as quick and as well as he learned pro wrestling, he'll be a force. Position-wise, his speed makes him a natural choice for DE, but I wouldn't be surprised if the Vikes moved him around a bit like they did John Randle. In any case, the preseason just got a hell of a lot more interesting.
