Favorite Old Man Flair Moment . . .
The Buzz replied to MillenniumMan831's topic in General Wrestling
As HHH reveals his plot about having Batista almost ran over Flair's mouth gapes open like he is scared and about run and pack his bags before "Dave" gets there. However, he then begins to smile, beat his chest, strut, and tell HHH about how he is such a genious. Pure comedy gold. -
He's not one of my favorites nor will he probably ever will be. But I respect him that he's worked hard enough to get this level, and I will say that he's not a waste of airtime.

Well I've noticed how dead the puro and tna folders are pretty much since I started coming to the site a year ago. There are new posts maybe once a month at best. So I say merge them into misc. promotions just because they are a waste of space.

The whole is Sting gonna stay with wcw, join the wolfpac, or the nwo angle was interesting to me. Anytime the Warrior appeared on Nitro I enjoyed it for some reason.... The cruiser matches were always good. The initial start of the nWo angle. Benoit vs Sting-World Title(from Sting's heel run as champion) Storm vs Sting-World Title(from the same time period) Raven's promos

Well I finally went out and bought 6 ROH dvds. The Era of Honor Begins, Round Robin Challenge are the only two I've watched besides the Steamboat confrontation and Joe vs Homicide from Generation next, so my list is gonna be pretty limited. American Dragon vs Low Ki vs Daniels-Era of Honor Guerrero vs Super Crazy-Era of Honor Daniels vs American Dragon-Round Robin Challenge Low Ki vs Daniels-Round Robin Challenge American Dragon vs Low Ki-Round Robin Challenge(wow what a match) Joe vs Homicide was pretty good. I was surprised at how small Homicide is...always pictured him as a bigger guy.

We all assume Batista is going over, but anyways. I'd love to see Benoit win the shot, and regain the belt down the road. If possible, Christian winning would make for some interesting television.

Just how good could Marty Jannety have been
The Buzz replied to Vern Gagne's topic in General Wrestling
I think the thing that held Marty back is he has in-ring charisma, but is lacking that something special that it takes to be a significant singles superstar. -
Interesting matches we've never seen/heard about
The Buzz replied to JoeDirt's topic in General Wrestling
Well I prefer to refer to him as former ECW World Champion or the human suplex machine......but smackdown announcer works. I'd like to see this match to see how Lesnar and Batista worked as a team. To get to the point hopefully it went with Taz dropping both with a couple of suplexes and Spike nailing the DOUBLE STOMP OF DOOM. -
I believe they only appeared on two shows.

Didn't feel like quoting whoever said he didn't, but The Warrior does own "Ultimate Warrior". He was in a lawsuit during the wcw run with WWE and used Warrior due to the case. He eventually won the lawsuit. He mentions it in one of his many commentaries on his website. If they put his best work on it...it'll be entertaining. I'd rather have a Best of Bret Hart dvd rather than a two disc Montreal Screwjob dvd...what's the point really? I can't wait for the Road Warriors dvd. I never really got to see their NWA and Japan work and want to as I've heard their is some good stuff out there.

"It's Showtime Folks"-Sting It's not bad or anything it just couldn't compare with "I'm a twenty-four foot great white shark and I'm hungry. I'm gonna eat you up and spit you out"-Sting or the classic "OWWWWOOOOOOOO"

I enjoyed the two Batista inteviews and the Edge promo. Both guys are playing their characters well and deserve the push they are getting.
-
I'd rather put up with angry promoters than an angry wife wondering why I missed the birth of our child to play fight.

I was reading a Sting interview around the time of his WWA World Title win, and it was supposed to be a fast count. Instead something happened and both Bret Hart and Sting looked idiotic afterwards. Sting started to explain what he felt happen, but stopped himself because he didn't want to hurt anyones feelings.
-
didn't sting and muta have a pretty heated rivalry back in the NWA.

Booker T-Basically what's been said so far. John Cena-He was looking like he had potential in the ring, now he looks like he has wasted potential. Ric Flair-He's always been a man with little offense, but it's getting rediculous lately. Val Venis- Not because of his own fault. I think he wrestles better now than when he was being pushed. He's got charisma as well. So watching him languish on heat makes me despise watching him. Chris Jericho-Haven't liked him since his WCW run. His mic work is boring now to me. HBK-Well I could never stand him, but....his current character is just hard to believe for me in terms of kayfabe. I respect that hes a changed man outside of the ring, but we need some sort of a character tweak even if it means going back to what worked in the past.

Was Buff Bagwell ever as over as he should be for all the pushes he got? Lex Luger?

The Best of Sting The Best of Bret Hart

In Rude's last match Sting came over the top rope with some kind of aerial attack, and wcw was supporting a weird stage that night with an edge. Sting came down on Rude who's back kind of hit on the edge of the stage. Rude had to work the rest of the match with a seriously messed up back. So im assuming Rude was pissed that Sting technically ended his career, and who wouldn't be?

Batista sounds more natural on the mic then Orton. They are pretty much even in what they can do in the ring, and Batista obviously has the better look. But even though I do hope in a year from now Batista will be headlining...I want a slow build to the moment when he snaps away from Evolution, which is why I like the current form, as he gets more microphone and segment time. He'll get there and he'll be ready when he does unlike Orton.

Steve "Mongo" McMichael Roadblock Disorderly Conduct The Shockmaster El Gigante Brian Adams The Giant(wcw days) Max Moon Billy Gunn Hardcore Holly Lita Van Hammer Sick Boy Dustin Rhodes(when hes not goldust...he sucks)

The stretch muffler that Brock was using was very cool, and looked pretty legit. The Scorpion Deathlock back before Sting started leaning forward. Guess working with all those Senior Citizens who shouldn't be in the ring can destroy your work. If applied right, I think the Camel Clutch is a great submission.

Sting Winning The World Title.....the 7-8 televised ones. The Ultimate Warrior debuting in WCW. The Ultimate Warrior Winning the World Title. Vader vs Sting-Strap Match Superbrawl III? Hugh Morrus winning the US Title, he was getting one of the better crowd reactions of all the roster members and he earned it. Ric Flair winning the World Title from Vader upon his return to WCW in...94 I believe. "Stone Cold" Steve Austin, the heel...this was the first time since his WCW run I enjoyed watching Austin. My last true jump out of my seat mark out moment was when Sting and Goldberg locked it up in 98 on Monday Nitro. Sting had the Scorpion locked in on Goldberg, and everytime Goldberg would try to power out Sting would lock it back in further. The whole crowd wanted Sting to end the streak right there. They may have chanted Goldberg during his entrance, but the fans were probably truly on their feet for that moment. Then as per usual, Mr. "I Could Ruin A Wet Dream" Hogan does a run in, and nails Sting with the weakest kick I have ever seen. That moment made me realize how much WCW had been filled with backstage politics.

Didn't he render him unconcious, tie him to some big rock, and then hurl him into space? For some reason I remember reading a comic where this happens.
