  1. Could be played that he took a stiff shit-kicking and still came out on top. I wish I had that much faith in their booking...oh look at that Punk ends up laid out yet again Has there ever been a champion that has been laid out this many times in succesive shows? I remember last winter when Randy Orton was champ, he was getting laid out all the time by HBK, Jeff Hardy, Cena, Hunter, among others.
  2. Wow, that video is disgusting. I'm glad I stopped watching IWA-MS around 2006. The most disturbing thing about this is that Ian's kid (Especially the kid asking Ian, "Dad, can I hit him".) and Rolling Hard (A guy who's battling colon cancer) participated on the beating. Plus, there were the fans that were saying "This is the greatest thing I've ever seen". The announcers commentating on it and enjoying and laughing at it also added to how disturbing it was. Who the hell is this Devon Moore douche? Wasn't he used as a jobber in ROH a couple of times.
  3. They've also had a bunch of matches on Smackdown in 07/08. I remember a fun Last Man Standing match between the two.
  4. I liked Bowfinger and Life (I might be one of the few) but yeah Eddie's sucked the past 10 or so years. I guess I should rewatch Metro, as it's been a long time and I thought it was pretty bland.
  5. Well, Phantom was easily the worst thing he's ever done. I'm not the biggest Argento fan either and I agree that Suspiria is really overrated (I enjoyed the soundtrack and the imagery is beautiful, but I just can't get into it overall. It's probably the incoherent factor, I just like movies that have at least passable screenwriting and acting. I also found it to be really dull at points. I don't watch Italian Horror expecting great acting and scripts, but man Suspiria's acting and writing is just really horrible and even worse than than the typical Italian horror film. Although, it isn't quite on the level of the hilarious Burial Ground.) I also didn't like Trauma, Opera, Inferno, or pretty much anything outside of his Masters Of Horror stuff he's directed since 1985. But, Tenebre, Phenomena, Bird With The Crystal Plumage, and especially Deep Red are all very good movies. You should at least consider watching these before you go ahead with saying Argento sucks. He's talented, I just prefer Fulci, Bava, and dare I say Soavi (Cemetary Man is a masterpiece and I enjoy Stage Fright more than any of Argento's films. I wish he would make more films.) for Italian horror.
  6. I thought both of these guys sucked when I was younger, but as I grew older I learned to enjoy their work. Slaughter's 80's stuff in the WWF was awesome and the Sheik/Slaughter bootcamp match is one of my favorite matches of that decade. Duggan in Mid-South was also great (Duggan/Dibiase in the Cage with a bunch of other gimmicks is another match that I would rank upon my favorite matches of the 80's. His whole Mid-South run was greatness though) and he was just so much more motivated in that company compared to his WWE run. I can't really think of too many. I thought Ice Train, Fred Ottman (Shockmaster/Tugboat/Typhoon), Ed Leslie (Brutus Beefcake), Stevie Ray, Nash, and Mable all sucked when I was younger. Suprisingly enough, I ended up enjoying Viscera/Big Daddy V's work when he got older and I began to appreciate how suprisingly athletic he could be at points (The spinkick he does rules).
  7. Very good news, I agree with D'lo getting even better after he left WWE. I watched a few of his NOAH and All-Japan tags from the past few years and they were great. Hell, it's even weirder how much better Bull Buchanan's gotten since leaving the WWE.
  8. Sydal had a really good series against AJ Styles as well.
  9. WTF, women's wrestler Mickie Knuckles on Springer I wonder what indy wrestlers are playing the two boyfriends?
  10. I thought the 05 one was much better than the clusterfuck one at SummerSlam 03. I enjoyed it a lot more than either of the ones in 06 where they killed the crowd by eliminating the most over guys first and leaving all the ones they disliked or didn't care about. The 06 NYR one did have Carlito motivated and giving the best performance he's ever had, and Angle looking like a badass but not much else. The ECW one didn't really have anything going for it (A sweet high spot from Test of all people and a fun RVD/Punk exchange was about it) but was easily the worst out of the bunch thanks to the booking. Although, having Orton eliminate Batista killed the crowd as well, the work was really good until that point. The Raw NWO one and the first one are both good. The Smackdown NWO one got better at the end, but good lord the beginning was really tedious.
  11. Yeah, despite the physique, Joe is still an awesome wrestler. Even though, he hasn't been motivated the last year or so during TNA, that doesn't take away from four years of great wrestling in the indies.. I'm glad the internet wasn't as popular when Vader and Terry Gordy were around. If it was, we'd be getting complaints about them.
  12. Definately agree with the Khanate mention. Damn, what a freaky band. Also check out Esoteric if you like that band. Most of the great bands have been mentioned, but here's some more: Lykathea Aflame - One of the few bands that can create beautiful and majestic music without sounding fruity and remaining really heavy at the same time. I would describe the band as Cryptopsy with tons of more melody. As the vocals sound a lot like Lord Worm's (But not as good) and the drummer is just as good as Flo. They are described as Progressive Death/Grind on Encyclopedia Metallum which is a good site to look for Metal. !T.O.O.H.! - The single weirdest band I ever heard. Nothing else sounds like it to me. The vocals take quite a while to get used to as it's a bizarre mix of growling, chanting, and shouting, but damn the music is wonderful. The guitar solos are incredible (Especially in the song "Kali") and the bass solos are damn fine as well. Rad A Trest is their masterpiece Blind Illusion - Very technical thrash band from the 80's that features Les Claypool (Pre-Primus) on bass. The Sane Asylum is one of my favorite thrash albums ever.
  13. Damn, the Fuji/Muraco team were so freaking funny. Until 24/7, I never knew how funny Don Muraco was in interviews and skits.
  14. I'm shocked that nobody has mention that they are bringing back ~ATLASPHERE~. I saw it in the preview clip for the rest of the season.
  15. Corn On The Cob French Fries
  16. Well, it's better than that awful hard rock song suited for a redneck character that they had him coming out to in 04/05.
  17. I just visited the NBC Gladiator site and lists these as the Gladiators for next season: Men: Wolf Toa Titan Justice Militia Rocket (Evan who really looks like Jericho now) Women: Jet (Monica looking insanely ripped and kind of like Victoria) Crush Hellga Phoenix (Really hot new gladiator) Siren Venom
  18. Mike Patton Tom Waits Ian Curtis Nick Cave David Byrne Devin Townsend Dax Riggs Miles Davis George Clinton Gibby Haynes
  19. Battlebowl never really produced an awesome card but still it just produced some fun shows. These matches were my personal faves: Luger/Arn vs Z-Man/Taylor - Starrcade 91 Sting/Butcher vs Eaton/Pillman - Starrcade 91 Muta/Windham vs Pillman/Scorpio - Starrcade 92 Flair/Austin vs Payne/Scorpio - Battlebowl 93 Flair/Savage vs Arn/Eddie - Slamboree 96
  20. Yep, Warrior's a douche, but I still marked out.
  21. Spoilers just in case someone gets mad the infamous Troma film, Beware! Children At Play features a near ten minute sequence where deranged children get killed by the surviving adults.
  22. Punk/Matt Hardy never has happened before.
  23. I think Umaga could get really over as a face, if they just keep him as a monster. I know they tried it for like 2 weeks in the summer, but it seems everyone has forgotten about that.
  24. Why can't we just say both guys are really good and be done with it.
  25. This is the weirdest thing ever: Halloween Havoc 93 Opening Video
