  1. I don't know anymore. It seems that damn near every new movie that gets a little praise ends up on the top 250 list. I mean, Hot Fuzz, Yuma, Live Free Or Die Hard, and Grindhouse (All solid films, but still) were at one point listed in the top 250 this year. It just seems that damn near every 2007 movie either has around a 7.7 or a ridiculously low score like 2.4 Anyways, Michael Clayton looks pretty good but really didn't scream out best picture to me.
  2. Once better win best song. Although, "When Your Mind's Made Up" and "Say It To Me Now" are better than both of the songs from Once on the eligiblity list. Hell, it should have just been 5 songs from Once. And wtf, Black Snake Moan has no songs eligible for best song. The song "Black Snake Moan" is greater than some crap from Good Luck Chuck or Music & Lyrics. But, I guess that the "movies from the first 8 months of the year don't exist" mentality of the oscars is to thank for that. Ruby Dee was only in American Gangster for like 4 minutes. She wasn't bad or anything, but she really wasn't even in the movie that much. Catherine Keener got robbed. They should've gave Ed Harris a supporting actor nod for Gone Baby Gone, he was great in that. Although, that field is pretty stacked with performances I liked. Viggo getting a best actor nod makes up for all that though.
  3. Wolf owns the Pyramid. I wasn't a fan of that event on the original Gladiators, but Wolf makes it fun on this.
  4. For Best Picture No Country, Atonement, and There Will Be Blood are easy choices. After that, Juno's really popular right now so I'll go with that. The fifth nominee is sort of a wild card between Sweeney, Michael Clayton, Into The Wild, and The Dividing Bell and The Butterfly (It's gaining steam. I'll go with Michael Clayton.
  5. Yeah, Evan made the eliminator look easy.
  6. I guess the Overrated/Underrated awards are based on pushes and not what people on the net think. Shelton is a little overrated on the net on his ability, but since he wasn't getting pushed too much in 07 he won most underrated.
  7. I thought the Highlanders new music sounded kind of badass. I liked their old theme as well. The theme music of The Highlanders is the only interesting thing going for them.
  8. It's Elijah's turn, isn't it? Probably Khali or both Big Daddy V and Mark Henry
  9. Yeah, Sheik's act isn't funny at all anymore. It's just sad and depressing now.
  10. I thought it was pretty awesome yet cheesy when JR would call Austin the Bionic Redneck.
  11. There was a decent sized Y2J chant going on. Nothing as big as Hunter, HBK's, and Jeff Hardy's reactions but still. Jericho never was the most over person on the show anyways. Maybe in 2000
  12. Probably the newly formed Santino and Carlito team
  13. I'm so glad Mickey Rourke is in the Wrestler instead of Nick Cage. Rourke is the perfect choice to play a broken down old wrestler. Cage probably would've went a bit over the top with it.
  14. Uh, Sweeney Todd was only in a little over 1,000 theaters. I think making 9 million is a decent number for it and it will probably make a lot more when it opens wide on Christmas Day. In comparison, Charlie Wilson's War was in 1000 more theaters than Sweeney and it made about the same amount of money.
  15. Domino is nearly as bad as Snitsky in terms of worst wrestler. Duece (He's Snuka's son right. That's how I tell them apart.) is pretty bad as well, but not on the level of Domino. Highlanders are really bland and dull, but offensively terrible.
  16. You would rank Cena ahead of Kurt Angle and Randy Orton? Why in the world would John Cena be in the Top 10? My shoelaces could wrestle a better match than him. Kurt's match with Lethal was good but couldn't touch Cena/Umaga 1 and 2, Cena/Michaels 1 and 2, Cena/Orton, and Cena/Lashley. His match with Lesnar was like a shitty cliffnotes version of their 2003 matches with both guys not really looking like they wanted to get their suplexes out of the way and go home. Cena reminds me of The Rock where his movements and offense are sort of awkward yet still effective. I mean Cena isn't a Bryan Danielson in the ring or anything, but he makes up for it by bumping his ass off, making his opponents look credible, and selling greatly most of the time. Honestly, the only bad Cena match I saw him wrestle this year was against Snitsky and well, it's fucking Snitsky.
  17. Angle hasn't been too good this year. I mean he's had some decent matches with Sting and Jay Lethal but that was about it. I didn't like either of his matches with Joe from this year (The Ironman or the one one with all the belts on the line.) I thought his matches with Christian and Steiner sucked. Honestly, I don't know if I would even have Angle in a list of my top 50 workers. Orton being that high surprises me. I'd probably have him somewhere around 30, but definately not number 1. Obviously, Cena should be top ten but powerslam still has a bias against him. Matt Hardy is at least 25 spots too low as well. MVP is nowhere to be found on this list. Abyss should be nowhere near any top 50 workers list. Kotaro Suzuki is kind of meh, he had some decent matches but most of them were because either of his opponents (Nigel) or his partner (Marvin). For a workrate list, Batista is ridiculously high. All he has this year are his matches with Taker and that's about it. Doug Williams really hasn't done shit for like 3 years and is only on it because they like to put on random brits. I don't think these guys watch Lucha at all since their is none to be found on the list. This list is almost as wacky as PWI's. At least, Ricky Marvin's in the top 20. Although, he'd be top 10 or 5 in mine.
  18. Chavo lost a loser leaves Smackdown or I Quit Smackdown match to Rey, and Punk's the top guy in the brand so that's why he attacked him.
  19. I remember really enjoying a JBL/Taker match from a Smackdown from June of 05. I also remember thinking his mini series with Hardcore Holly on Smackdown in the Fall of 04 were fun brawls and way better than I was expecting. I also liked the supposed horrible JBL/Booker match from Survivor Series. So, In my eyes he just didn't have good matches with half of the Smackdown 6. The only really bad matches I can remember from his main event run were vs Taker at Summerslam 04 and vs Batista at Great American Bash 05. JBL's last man standing match with Angle right before the 05 Royal Rumble was great. JBL/Benoit cage match was really good as well All JBL/Rey matches are fun, but I really enjoyed the match at Judgment Day 06. I think it's really underrated.
  20. Wrestler of the year: John Cena or Matt Hardy Worst wrestler of the year: Snitsky (He managed to have a bad match with Cena. Even Khali had some decent matches with Cena) Most Improved Wrestler: MVP (He was pretty bad on the indies and then he comes to the WWE and has solid matches every week) Most Underachieving Wrestler: Ken Kennedy Best Tag Team: Cade & Murdoch Worst Tag Team: Duece & Domino Best Heel: Santino or Orton Best Face: Matt or Jeff Hardy Best Diva: Mickie James Worst Diva: Ashley Match of the Year: Cena/Michaels Raw Marathon Match followed by Cena/Umaga Rumble Worst Match of the Year: Well, Fake Donald/Rosie was horrible but since I don't consider it an actual match, I'll pick something else. Either Kelly/Layla from ECW a few weeks ago or Kennedy/Carlito on the Raw before Summerslam that was 15 minutes of the dullest wrestling I've seen in a long time. Quote of the Year: First time Santino said open up a can of da ass a whip Best Comeback: Probably Jericho, but it's still too early. Last year was the year of the great comebacks with Finlay, Sabu, Jeff Hardy, and so on. This year didn't really have any great comebacks. Mark out moment of the year: Punk winning the ECW title was still pretty awesome despite being taped days in advanced. Funniest moment of the year: Maybe the Teddy Long/Krystal wedding on Smackdown. I can't really think of much Best brand: To count the overall year, I'd honestly say Raw. The first 5 months were really good and then they had a dull stretch after the Benoit stuff, and started getting solid again around October. Worst brand: I'll say ECW. The show was pretty brutal until after the draft with the dull McMahon/Lashley feud taking up a lot of the show. The Show from July to October was probably the best constant wrestling show on television, but lately it's kind of dropped off again. Best PPV: Backlash Worst PPV: No Way Out or Vengeance Best Feud: I thought it was Cena/Orton until it got cut short due to Cena's injury. Worst Feud: Bobby Lashley vs Mr. McMahon Worst Moment of the Year: Fake Rosie vs Fake Trump segment or Hornswoggle drawing a hole in the wall to escape from Carlito
  21. 1. Battles - Mirrored 2. Between The Buried And Me - Colors 3. Jesu - Conquerer 4. Akercocke - Antichrist 5. Kanye West - Graduation 6. Dethklok - Dethalbum 7. Liars - Liars 8. M.I.A. - Kala 9. Melt Banana - Bambi's Dilemma 10. High On Fire - Death Is The Communion
  22. That match was okay, but it was the same three spots they always do in ladder matches along with a "lungblower" on the ladder that really wasn't a lungblower.
  23. Wasn't Sean Mooney before the Monday Night Raw era? Will this mean the return of Todd Pettengill?
  24. War Games 94 was really underrated and fun. 96 and 97 were allright, but lacked the hate and blood that usually made the War Games matches. 93, 95, 98, and 00 are the only really bad ones
  25. Edge just looks really lanky to me, not out of shape.
