Music videos just seem to be a dead art in general. Fuse and MTV2 play more regular programming than videos. Even VH1 Classic plays a few hours of videos and lots of reruns of Behind The Music and Storytellers.

Did anyone else see this? The unrated version is on TV-Links and it's awesome. It totally makes up for how terrible Halloween was. It's got to be one of the funniest horror films I've ever seen. Seriously, this year it's only behind Knocked Up and Superbad for constantly making me laugh. It's kind of both a parody and a homage to slasher films. The two male leads are Rudy's friend Bud from The Cosby Show and the robotman from Grandma's Boy and they are both funny as hell. Plus, it had loads of violence. Kane Hooder doesn't fuck around as the killer and it's more violent than 4 or 5 Friday The 13th films combined. It also throws in tons of suspense, good chase scenes, a creepy monster, a creepy Louisiana swamp setting, and some killer jump scares. The cameos were actually pretty memorable and funny. Kane Hooder (Sans makeup) delivers a sympathetic show, Tony Todd is a riot, and Robert England is solid as usual. Unlike, Halloween where Bill Mosely, Clint Howard, and Sid Haig kind of just stand around and do nothing. So, if it's playing near you, see it. It's one of the most enjoyable horror films I've seen in a long time. And, if you can't find it playing near you, go on TV-Links and watch it for free before it gets taken down.

Isn't the general consensus the Holly-RVD match was the best on ECW TV? I thought Show/Flair and The ECW Originals/New Breed extreme rules match were better than that. But, yeah I'd say Punk/Morrison is the best match of the new ECW relaunch.

WWE General Discussion - September 2007

I saw an ad during ECW promoting No Mercy for Chicago and they kept showing Cena/Orton and Taker/Batista. -
These are awesome. JBL had to have Cornette as an inspiration on his promos.

This is gold. Fuji's reactions and shit eating grin, Muraco's wooden delivery, Mean Gene burying his head in his hands and Lord Alfred Hayes laughing in the background is all hilarious.

ECW/Smackdown Spoilers for the 9/4 and 9/7 airings
Brocklock replied to BorneAgain's topic in The WWE Folder
Wasn't Batista on the list? Why's he in the damn main event? I'm so sick of Batista. He'd probably become fresh again if he was suspended for a little while. -
This looks really good and having the score from The Fountain as the background music of the trailer is only a good thing.

When did Rey Mysterio get a bunch of hate on here?

When I looked at the match listings for that show, a Steamboat/Muraco match was listed as main event and their matches were usually always pretty good. The rest of that card sounds like ass though. -
This sounds like the best Smackdown since before the draft. Rey/Batista should be fun, and Rey/Finlay is always good. Finlay/Kane again is probably going to be solid as well.

The OAO Thread For The Twentieth Annual SummerSlam Games
Brocklock replied to RonL21's topic in The WWE Folder
HBK is more guilty of doing pointless headlocks and chinlocks than Orton is and he's called a wonderful worker. Angle's the same way. When they do that, it's called pure wrestling at it's best, but when Orton does that it's a boring resthold and they call him cliche names like Blandy Boreton. -

Those aren't restholds. Rest holds involve resting and Orton looks like he's putting every effort in trying to strangle Cena until he passes out. I love Orton's chinlocks. Go back to watching your lameass Petey Williams flipping Piledriver shit. Ok, I will considering it's an actual movie that is supposed to knock your opponent out for long enough to pin them. And those chinlocks are considered rest holds. A rest hold is a hold where you are not moving giving time for you and the opponent time to catch your breath enough to do another big move, no matter how much effort it seems the person is putting into the move. The only problem with that in this match was after the chinlocks it was back to more punching and kicking, no big power moves or chain wrestling. I'd consider it a resthold if he was just lazily sitting there with his arm softly tucked under Cena's chin. But, Orton tugs and turns and twists and actually makes a fucking chinlock look painful and like it could take Cena out. I really enjoyed the main event btw. Orton's improved a ton since he took the cold blooded killer gimmick instead of cocky and arrogant. I liked Rey/Chavo and Kane/Finlay as well but the rest of the show was kind of there. -

He pronounced wrestlers names wrong when he was commisioner too. Triple Haitch -
He's a fat fuck who destroys jobbers. What's not to love.

I can't see a realistic way to have a guy that looks like Punk beat a guy that looks like V, so they took the easy way out.

Why'd they drop the Alejandro? The fans were like WTF.

The six man on the NWA show this week is pretty awesome. Ron Garvin was really underrated as well. I'm digging most of his stuff I've seen on 24/7. -
Colt Cabana would be funny as the illegitimate son.

Dusty/HTM was about 10 minutes long and I thought it was terrible. Most of it was Dusty in a HTM chinlock. The other six man tag I thought was really bad too. I didn't like the main event one bit. I guess Snuka/Dibiase, Perfect/Rooster, and Hercules/Valentine was fine filler. -

I personally thought Warrior/Rude from Summerslam 89 was the best match of the show. Harts/Busters was good, but damn was that a hot match. Rude does something that looks like a ganso bomb and Warrior busts out a German Suplex. Those two matches and Santana/Rockers vs Martel/Rogeaus are the only worthwhile matches. The rest of that card, especially the main event is brutal. -
Despite the Ring attire, I mark for Big Daddy V. Seeing him destroy 3 jobbers is refreshing.
