  1. Haha Boone made contact with the back of the plane...
  2. There's a softness to his voice I can tell, it's obvious the stroke has had an effect on him, but he seems to be doing well all things considered
  3. Did anyone gasp for a sec when they heard they had a Shawn on the line?
  4. I've got just a 56k connection so I'm sticking with Audio Only, for those familiar with Byte This does Audio Only usually work fine, is the show on yet, I've got it playing but it's just silence now.
  5. Yep, looking forward to it
  6. I'd have just bought the DVD recorder and hooked the VCR through it, that's what I did. Course you can get those sweet 1 touch VCR/DVD recorder combos under 200 now.
  7. A review of that HH97 match from my short lived column at this site- Eddie vs Rey
  8. Anyone have a copy of the NoDQ match he had with Edge on Smackdown, with the MDK (murderdeathkill) sunset-flip powerbomb from the ladder?
  9. Still can't bring myself to watch Eddie right now, but because Bret's DVD's out, here's a few matches he missed- Bret vs Dynamite (CHV The British Bulldogs)- I wouldn't say the match is an alltime classic, but considering the period of the time (mid 80s WWF) it was a greta quick paced match between two guys who knew each other so well already. Bret Hart vs Shawn Michaels (Ladder Match from Smack em Whack em)- Sorry Shawn you didn't invent this match, surprised Bret didn't put this on there to rub it in, much slower and not nearly as spot heavy as ladder matches we've come to know today, but that makes it unique, with the drama built into the climb instead of who can jump off the ladder and do the craziest spot. The Harts vs The Steiners (Wrestlefest 1994)- Bret must've forgotten about this one, 25 minutes of 4 men who know there's no angles, no storylines to deal with just go out and try and one-up the other, shame there was no rematch, imagine if THIS had been the match at Rumble 94 where Owen turned on Bret (Although that match against the Quebequers is quite nice in its own right).
  10. I love the DVD, the program was great just to hear from Bret going over his career, sure I've seen all the matches and can think of 10 more that should be here (Where's Hart Foundation vs Demolition 2/3 falls from SummerSlam 90?) But I'm glad to have what's here in one package (And I can still see myself in the crowd for Bret vs Perfect at KOTR 93, preserved in DVD glory for all time now)
  11. Is "Used to Love Her" really mysoginist? Sure it's about a guy killing his girl and burying her in his backyard but it's so tounge in cheek and it really doesn't take a vicious slant against the girl other than she was a nag I'd go more for Back Off Bitch or My Michelle even
  12. I concur, first song that popped into my head in fact, cause of this verse- "You get nothing for nothing, if that's what you do Turn around bitch I got a use for you Besides you ain't got nothing better to do And I'm bored"
  13. It's sad that this business is so work intense that even if a man can clean himself up like Eddie did and stay straight the previous years of damage will be increased due to the output of the worker.
  14. Orton was looking upwards before getting into the ring too saying some words, I figured to Eddie.
  15. Would anyone here agree that a nice tribute would be a Chavo/Shelton tag team now?
  16. Steph gives her first selfless testimonial
  17. It's taken me this long to post since learning last night I'm trying not to dwell too much on it, because I know if I do I'll probably break down It'll be a while before I can sit down and watch the Eddie DVD again, I'm looking at it right now, it'll probably all sink in tonight on RAW. Off the top of my head I remmember 2 live events seeing Eddie wrestle, one was a Smackdown taping in Nov 2002 vs Rey Mysterio during the height of the Smackdown Six era. The other was a WCW house show in 1996 vs Dean Malenko, I still feel lucky to have seen those to go at it live. Vaya Con Dios Eddie, may your soul never suffer again To his wife, daughters family and friends, he will never be replaced and will be missed far greater than I am sure any of us can imagine.
  18. I love how every scheme of Cartman turns into mass genocide
  19. The wrong people have Neilsen boxes
  20. Explain. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Teddy Long screwed the Road Warriors in a NWA Tag Title match with a fast count that was so quick it fit a 3 count into 1 second, which led to Teddy being a heel manager.
  21. At least Joey will call play by play during the match, so a little WWE phrases here and there is acceptable
  22. Nice fast counting by Davari, still nothing will beat Teddy Long's fast count on the Road Warriors at COTC5.
  23. Nice DDT there
  24. Kudos for Joey for just getting on Davari for biased officiating and not getting all jignostic patriotic all of a sudden.
  25. YAY Davari's back!
