"I came here to see Gene Snitsky!" "Heat > Raw" Either that, or a giant Djibouti flag. That'd be sure to be noticed.

Agreed. As for the sandwich itself, I am not sure how it would taste or how long it would take to eat it, but, from the looks of it, I would definitely give it a try. Though, I am now curious if either of my two buffet busting friends from college could finish that sucker in one sitting.

Wikipedia definition of Butterfly Effect I was curious so I looked it up. Supposedly, it comes from a Ray Bradbury short story called A Sound of Thunder.

What's up with Maryland/Duke? When I first saw it, I wrote it off as a quick Maryland squash, but Duke is hanging in there, only losing by 3. Has Duke improved or is Maryland just playing a horrid game?
-
I may buy it too. I can think of at least a few Kylie songs I have wanted to get on CD, but have been too lazy to do so.

I always loved the 1990 version, many because I liked the Ultimate Survivor concept, and which they had continued to do it. Ah well.

It's also the season premiere of Raw! For some strange reason, I am guessing it will not be any bigger or more important than most of the Raws recently, and the huge announcement that will shatter the foundations of Raw will probably be totally forgotten about in less than a month. Then again, maybe I am just cynical. -
I am still shocked I moved all the way up to number three. I was just hoping I'd sneak into the rankings, I didn't expect to go up that high. I guess all these 14-11 victories are starting to pay off. I hope my luck continues against Washington St.

Alright! Two conference wins in a row! It looks like I did quite well, as, barring a miracle comeback by Colorado St. or BYU, it looks like my only missteps this week were TCU and Clemson, and it looks like my riskier picks(Nebraska, Auburn, UCLA) pulled through. I hope my luck continues as I have an absolutely brutal schedule the next two weeks with undefeated Washington St. and former number 2 Virginia coming up. Should be fun.

I disagree. I think they can beat a team that couldn't even beat Rutgers.

Assuming this is actually true, that would be awesome. I have always liked Schiavone, and assuming he is still a passable announcer, then it would be nice to have some new blood commentating Raw. Even though it would just be plain bizarre to have Raw open up, then hear Tony Schiavone's voice. EDIT: Though, I third the bullshit call for now.

Considering there is like 5 posts and only 5 people reading this thread, I don't think you'd have to worry too much about spoilers. It doesn't seem like anyone would see it anyway.

Yeah. That's a fairly common problem with ESPN games for PS2 from what I have experienced. I know their college basketball game had this problem last year. It was a great game too, but, unfortunately, whenever I got my team of choice the way I wanted it after a few seasons, the game just went "Oops!" and crapped out much the same way this one did. It's too bad too, since the games they made are usually quite good, unfortunately, they forget to check for that problem and that game that was a "Great game!" 20 minutes earlier becomes that "$20 piece of crap." I was actually thinking about getting around this error with my next game by making two saves and just alternate which one I save on, just in case the game bitches out on me again. Of course, considering the fact that it seems like it is an error that they should have known about from previous games, I really shouldn't have to be dealing with it.

I tend to side with owners more than the players, even though I pretty much think that a salary cap isn't be the ultimate cure all to any problems. Unfortunately, the many are ultimately penalized for the mistakes of the few idiotic owners who felt compelled to majorly overpay players. It's too bad.

Don't ask me why, but I was thinking about this game today. Apparently, they have more screenshots up Here. Apparently, they added a few new characters like a ninja, another generic blonde, an African-American nurse, and a Catwoman like female, among a few others I have noticed in my google search. Oh yeah, and they added a mud wrestling match too. Looks like a possible guilty pleasure, whenever it finally comes out.

That's basically what I said when I turned on Heat. That really sucks actually, as 99% of the time I miss Heat, now, I finally get a chance to watch it, and it's a hype show. Not even the return of the Mack can make this hype show watchable.

I watched a game of handball earlier. It seems like it is a weird hybrid of basketball and soccer. I am kind of stunned that this sport isn't more popular in the US. It seemed like it was fairly high scoring and fast paced, It seems like a fun sport to watch, I am frankly shocked it hasn't caught on in the States yet.

Weekend Boxoffice Report Aug 20-22
Der Kommissar replied to Youth N Asia's topic in Television & Film
I need to pay more attention. I don't think I have seen one commercial for the Exorcist or Without a Paddle, and I actually have been watching tv more than usual lately. Then again, from the sounds of it, this was a pretty terrible weekend for movies anyway. -
Well, they just went to a commercial halfway in between a swimming event. I can't say I overly blame them as it is an Aussie squash anyway, but that seems like a little rude. At least this event has a Greek guy named Spyridon in it, which has to be in the running for one of the cooler names in the Olympics.
-
Well, that makes me feel a bit better. Both my former grade school an high school have since closed down, but at least the university I went to is still going strong. 1 out of 3 isn't bad.

To be fair, this loss shouldn't really count against them. I believe I read that Lithuania lost to the supposedly better US team by a close margin(I believe 2) at the last Olympics, so it isn't totally out of the question that Lithuania could beat a US team. In fact, considering how bad the US has played thus far, only losing by 4 to Lithuania shows improvement. Given, getting owned by Puerto Rico(A team they had easily beaten a few weeks earlier) was embarrassing, and struggling against Greece and Australia was sad, but at least this time they lost to a team that they weren't expected to beat easilt. Of course, a team composed of some of the best players in the word playing like scrappy underdogs is absolutely hilarious to me. I am just glad that Lithuania won this one, making me happy that I jumped up on their bandwagon after being fortunate enough to see them defeat Puerto Rico. Lithuania for gold!

Things must be looking good for the Lithuanians then. 4-0 in the pool and they have already defeated Puerto Rico and the US. I am guessing it should be clear sailing for them until the elimination round. Both Spain and Lithuania are undefeated so far. A Spain-Lithuania basketball final would be just...odd. Also, may I ask what's up with soccer? I figured some of the more powerhouse soccer teams would be playing it, but, looking at the quarterfinals, I don't see too many soccer powers there. There's Argentina and, to a point, Italy, but that's about it. What happened?

Let's go C.

I tried it today. Apparently, it's Mountain Dew mixed with black grape soda. It actually pretty good, I thought. Just wondering if anyone else has head of/tried it yet? Also, what's next? There is apparently, Mountain Dew Red, Mountain Dew Orange, Mountain Dew Blue, Mountain Dew Black, and I believe I heard of Mountain Dew Green awhile back. So, what's next? Mountain Dew Crystal? Mountain Dew Brown? Vanilla Mountain Dew? I am honestly quite curious considering how they seem to come out with a new flavour every year.
