I know I haven't watched Raw for the past 3 weeks. My major problem with it is that it pretty much came off like I was the exact same thing each Monday. It seems like every Raw is basically the following: - interview segment: either 20 minute opening interview, 20 minute closing interview, or Highlight reel. - something involving Kane, Matt, and Lita. - token women's match featuring 2 to 6 of the following(Molly Holly, Jazz, Gail Kim, Victoria, Stacy Keibler, Trish Stratus, or Nidia) Sometimes they're feuding over something, sometimes just go out there and fight for no reason. - Overly long Diva Search segment - fairly pointless match involving either La Resistance, Tajiri, Rhyno, Hurricane, Rosey, Val Venis, or Tyson Tomko. - the first hour main event, usually feature random member(s) of Evoltion or Kane facing off against a random face(s) - the Smackdown Rebound - Second main event which is either an interview or a match where 1 to 4 members of Evolution faces off against 1 to 4 random faces. I may have forgot one or two things in there, but basically that seems to be the whole show. It's too bad, really, since, after Benjamin, Tajiri, etc., came over from Smackdown, I was really enjoying the shows. Unfortunately, injuries seems to have decimated the roster. The only credible heels they have are Evolution and Kane. After that, then who? La Resistance? The Coach? Tyson Tomko? It bores me to think that whenever a face gets hot it will mean either feuding with Kane or joining the other random faces trying to beat Evolution. Same feuds, different random face. Hopefully, things will start look up post-Diva search. I kind of miss how enjoyable Raw used to be a scant few months ago

I have always been favourable to the Misfits in Action and the Job Squad.

Weren't they trying to keep up kayfabe away from the right awhile back? If that's the case, I just can't see a guy like Eugene or Kane coming into the building in a dress shirt and dress pants.

I am just wondering how long it will take for the front page of this forum to be filled up with "To Kotz" threads.

It works in baseball. I can't exactly see it in other sports. Football coaches wearing a jersey, pads, and helmet? Basketball coaches in a tank top and shorts? A hockey coach wearing a jersey and helmet? It would just look way too silly for me.

Poor Ced. He seems like a nice guy and a decent poster. What did he do to suffer the indignity of being born on the same day as DJ Jeff? That's just cruel.

Aren't they now trying to be call the rather generic "Rays" and "Jays"? Or did they decide to drop that whole idea?

Battling into the band room sounds entertaining to me.

Interestingly, I have actually been in Beckett House, since I lived right at a near house, and had a few friends who lived there. Apparently, they had run into some weird stuff there, but, alas, during my short stay, I didn't see any ghosts. How I miss University.

There was also Brady Boone as well. Unfortunately, he went on to being a WCW Saturday night jobber, I believe, before dying in a car accident in the late 90s.

In the NL only league, my team(Nuguya Firestorm) could use a SS or C who actually plays. I am not sure if I have much to offer past SP and OF's, but I am up for any offer.

I was thinking when I heard about this fight that it would be funny if Tyson ended up KOed by one of these scrubs he has faced. I didn't think it would actually happen though. Congrats to Williams. If nothing else, he gets 15 minutes of fame, and can forever say that he knocked out Mike Tyson.

Ironically, I was just reading an article today on Robert Smith, another running back who decided to retire early in his career. Good for Williams though. It is kind of sad to think of what might have been, but at least he'll go out at his peak, instead of way past his prime like Emmitt Smith, et al, have. I'll miss the hair, and his ability, but I hope he has a nice retirement. I feel bad for the Dolphins, their fans, and any fantasy owners who happened to draft Ricky Williams(especially those in deep leagues.) That has got to be a definite setback. Also, is this a good thing or a bad thing for Dave Wannstedt? It seemed like he would be out on his ass if he had another disappointing year, but, without Williams, he could possibly use that as an excuse for the poor season to buy him some more time. On the other hand, if Miami is rebuilding, they may just turf him anyway. I am thinking they're fire him after the season unless he finds a way to field a successful team, but what do you guys think?

Interesting holdover from the Scooter regime

Marvin hit that one right on the head. Kudos. -
Well, they need to make sure NOT to put on a shitty show when they make these kinds of announcements. Saying that a town is not important enough for a certain match, then putting on a totally 2nd rate show is never a wise idea. At least they should try to send the crowd home happy. Sending them home bitter probably means they won't be showing up next time. Of course, I am not sure Pittsburgh is getting the better end of the deal here. Half of the show will be the iron man, the other half will be trying to fit in commercials, diva search crap, advancement of the other feuds, and Iron Man match hype into one hour. I have a bad feeling that first hour will be atrocious. Hopefully, the Iron man match will make up for it.

Alas, 'twas the Pokemon Dudley way. Gotta catch 'em all. That whole move puzzled me because he got Aucoin in the Cloutier deal, yet it was a cost cutting move. It was sad since the $1.6 million or whatever Aucoin was being paid seemed more than reasonable for a defenseman. Ah well. I guess it's a lot more palatable nowadays with the Lightning winning the Stanley Cup, Biron failing with the Panthers, while Dudley is off somewhere in Siberia desperately searching for the next big thing who no has ever heard of. I guess it all worked out in the end.

Lasting one-third of an inning against the Devil Rays has to be pretty embarrassing. It is nice to see the Rays putting up more of a fight against the Yanks this time though. I have their starting pitched on my fantasy team, so I can only hope he doesn't blow a five run lead.

Count me in for those who thought Leaf would be better. I also was PISSED when the Pistons decided to trade Grant Hill for only the two guys they had signed from Orlando(Ben Wallace + Chucky Atkins.) I always felt they should have tried to get a first rounder or something out of the deal, since teams seem to toss those around like candy anyway. In hindsight, I still would have loved to see a first round added, as it could have ended up being a decent first round pick. The Pistons still easily won the trade though. I was also pissed when they fired Rick Carlisle and hired Larry Brown. I couldn't figure out why they hired the older Brown to win them an NBA Championship, when, at the time, he had never won an NBA Championship. Guess I was wrong about that one. I thought the team of Charlie Batch and Germane Crowell were going to lead the Lions to the Super Bowl one day. I thought Matthieu Biron was going to be a star at one point. Given, I didn't exactly like when the Lightning traded Adrian Aucoin to get him, but I felt he'd turn into something. On the plus side, Rick Dudley has the honour of being one of the few to be schooled in a trade by Mike Milbury. He must be very proud. EDIT: How could I forget? Tim Biatkabutka(sp?) *shakes head*

T-shirt sayings that you can't stand
Der Kommissar replied to The Czech Republic's topic in General Chat
Could be worse. I once saw a girl, who looked like she was about 12, wearing a shirt that said that. That was just screwed up. I pretty much second most of what was said in this thread, though I'd like to add any saying put on the ass of pants. There is nothing like seeing a girl walking around with 'Princess" or "Bootylicious" on their ass. I just don't get that fashion statement at all. -
Tokyo Magnum. Poor guy was so low on the WCW totem pole he jobbed to Vincent of all people. I miss the Boogie Knights. They were easily some of my favourites during the time.

How exactly does one play an illegal game of chess anyway? And why exactly is that a crime?

Well...this is terrible. On the plus side, I can't see this guy lasting much longer.
