I think Vince is like 58 or 59. I doubt he's on roids right now. I think he probably on juices up for big matches, like the ones against Hogan, Flair, and Austin. You'd have to be retarded to be his age and constantly cycling, especially if you wear a sports coat most of the time. HHH tore his quad planting his foot while hitting Jericho, Nash by stepping over someone, Vince by banging it into the ring apron while sliding in. This could have happened to Hogan, Warrior, etc... as they've all done that thype of thing. I just wonder why quad tears are all the rage now a a days. I suppose it's better than neck surgery, though. Davey Boy had huge legs, he wore long tights most of his career so it wasn't as apparent. Just because he's not a "lumbering lummox", doesn't mean he isn't roided to the gills. The guy is probably 5'8" and 165 pounds without the juice. Watch his DVD and look at the pictures of him when he first broke into the business. Now, he's like 38 years olds, 5'8" and 235lbs. He's just as juiced up as HHH was, when he got hurt. Just because he's a great worker and a smark favorite doesn't mean he's not using copius amounts of steroids. There is definatatel a double standard on the roid issue with smarks, as HHH is a roid head while Eddy, Benoit, Rey, Angle, and others get ignored.

Henry has a clause in his contract where he can't be released. If he could, he would have been long ago. These quad tears are a major problem, but they'll never be addressed because they're caused by steroid use. Why would Vince sign a guy to a ten year contract that he can't be released from? Mark Henry is massive guy who was a power lifter and flopped out of the Olympics? Because he coudl dunk a basketball, maybe? In some ways I feel bad for the guy with all the injuries, he broke his leg about a month after his debut in late 96 and hs never really been able to stay healthy since. As far as the quad tears being caused by steroids, which is true to a degree (steroids increase the risk of these injuries, like smoking and lung cancer, but they aren't mutually exclusive. I doubt Nash or Vince were on roids when they got hurt) it kind of makes me wonder why other guys who were roided to the gills like Warlord, Davey Boy, Hogan, Warrior, Benoit, etc... didn't have the same or a similar injury.

I remember rading somewhere that the LOD/Demolition matches weren't drawing as well as they wanted at house shows so they kind of dropped the angle.

I have an old JCP tape that has a blindfold match with Kevin Sullivan, I think he wrestled Jimmy Garvin but I'm not sure. I think it's from the tape that has the Bunkhouse Stampede match on it.

I think the build up to Angle/Benoit at WM 17 included Benoit stealing Kurt's medals and sticking them down his trunks with Angle trying to remove them in a rather gay moment. Rock and Bulldod's feud over dog shit was pretty brutal. Although Cole's call of the Rock Bottom into it was priceless.

Bret never used a snap suplex, it was always a tradional vertical suplex. He used the bulldog every match leading to the finish or to the chest first bump into the turnbuckles.

One man's raid is another's aquistition. It's just semantics. Eric offered several ECW guys more money to come to WCW. So what? Was it preditory? Maybe, but look at the guys Benoit (although he stopped working there when Heymen wouldn't get him a visa), Eddy, Malenko, Rey, Juvie, Psychosis, Raven, PE, Sandman, Bam Bam, Saturn, Douglas, Awesome, Storm, Sabu (but he had already been fired by Heymen), Candido (same thing as Sabu), Sid, Whipwreck, and Jericho. Of those guys Rey, Juvie, Psycho, Raven, PE, Sandman, Bam Bam, Saturn, Douglas, Awesome, Storm, Sid, Candido, and Jericho went onto hold titles in WCW and greater fame. Awesome and Raven were ECW champs whem they were signed or gave notice in Raven's case. Vince took Tazz, Dudleyz, Scorpio, Rude, Funk, Douglas, Foley, Austin, Ron Simmons (although he didn't work for ECW much), and probably a few more that I can't remember. When he signed Tazz and the Dudleyz they were champs and he got them kicked off of TNN. I think it's a wash. WCW took more guys but WWF swept in and took 3 of their four top guys (RVD being the 4th) at virually the same time (with in 2 months). Bishoff may have softened them up more but Vince went in for the kill with the Viacom deal.

Mike Awesome is not 6'6" nor 300lbs, I think he's 6'3" and was probably 270lbs in WWF, which would make him about the size of the Rock and with nowhere near the personality. He looked really big in ECW and Japan because the ECW and Japanese guys were short, which is oneof the reasons most of them were in ECW and not WWF.
-
Yeah, that and he did set his brother on fire prior to the match so he probably left the building to avoid being arrested or something.
-
OK, I vaguely remember that. Foley vs Eddy, Benoit (I don't remember a singles match), Goldberg, Savage, Booker, and Angle.
-
They could come up with something. Hell if they just changed the colors of the logo it would be ok.

1) Hercules, Billy Jack Haynes, and Ken Patera 2) Koko B. Ware 3) Ronnie Garvin 4) IRS? 5) Power and Glory (Roma and Hercules) 6) Tiger 7) He only hooked one arm over his leg. 8) Rikishi 9) What's the Rydeen Bomb? 10) Val Venis I did this without looking at the rest of the thread so don't think I'm retarded.

Hogan vs. Austin, HBK, Foley Goldberg vs. Austin, Taker, Angle Savage vs. Rock, Angle Piper vs. Rock, Austin, HBK, HHH, Foley, Angle Flair vs. Rock, Foley (not in a singles match that I know of)

Umm... Last I checked Motorhead was very dated. They are not cool anymore. The 70s and 80s have long since passed. Just because HHH likes them doesn't make them popular, same goes for his love of bodybuilding. If they're going to get anybody they should get a rapper to come out with Cena.
-
Most Taz natches. I used to love the guy's work, now looking back on it his matches were nothing special, same with RVD, watch his DVD and tell me that there were any matche even approaching 4 stars. It just goes to show haw good Heymen was at getting people to drink his Koolaid, as JR would say.

He deserves it but didn't he get fired last year?
-
No they aren't. I think they're in the WCW Hall of Fame and the Observer Hall, but not in WWE's.
-
Steele is already in and I don't think Bundy really deserves it. He didn't do much other than his feud with Hogan. If they're going to do a WM 2 theme then Terry Funk, Savage, Jake Roberts, and Steamboat should go in.

Name wrestlers and their greatest opponents

Trips and Foley had a great street fight on a RAW and a very good match at Canadian Stampede. They were good but not up to what HHH and Rock were pulling off later IMO. HHH and Foley had 5 high profile matches (Canadian Stampede, Summerslam 97, Raw Sept 97, RR 2000 and NWO 2000 [these two were better than just about anything that HHH di with Rock], I suppose 6 if you count WM 16). Rock and HHH had a billion (Rock beat him for the IC title in early 97, IYH: Final Four 97, Fully Loaded 98, Summerslam 98, Over the Edge 99, Fully Loaded 99, Rebellion 99, Survivor Series 99 [3 way w/Show], WM 16 [4 way w/ Foley and Show], Backalash 2000, Judgement Day 2000, Summerslam 2000 [3 way w/Angle], plus KotR 2000, Armageddon 2000, Unforgiven 99, Survivo Series 96, and probably a few more featured them in the same match and I'm sure they wrestled several times on Raw.) I'd say that Rock is HHH's greatest opponent, the matches were generally good to great and the rivalry went from literally Rock's first TV match in WWF until Rock's full time career ended in 2001. -
I don't see Hogan and Piper going in the same year. It doesn't amke sense from a business perspective. They want to sell DVDs and Piper is a big enough star to use for this year's. Next year do Hogan, and then Bret, then Savage, etc.... They need one big name per year, blowing your load all at once is stupid. But JR did say that more names were to come on Raw so who knows, it'll probably be someone lame though.

The criteria I was using was guys who worked together at least three times on PPV or high profile shows and had their best matches. So basically their had to be an extended feud and good matches during that feud. Taker worked against Foley more times (KotR 96, Summerslam 96, Buried Alive, Survivor Series 96, KotR 98, a Raw ME after Survivor Series and probably a few more) than he did with HBK (Ground Zero, Badd Blood, RR 98) but the quality of the matches with Foley wasn't up to what he did with Shawn, so I gave the nod to Shawn. -
Muracco feuded with Orndorff in early 86 so maybe he will and Bobby Heenan managed him so it could be him. Hassan should induct the Sheik. I'm drawing a blank on Volkoff. It should be Jericho who inducts Piper, Snuka can hardly put together a coherant sentence.
