Realistically, the only blacks that can gain membership are the ones who have scads of money and are fully assimulated into "white" culture, so to speak. Carrying both Gonzalez and Nunez on the roster is amazingly redundant. The Phils really should dump one and add another real hitter. Dellucci's the only guy on the bench who is any kind of threat, and he has a very pronounced platoon split. Manuel made some questionable decisions, but there whatever he did he was just gaining a handful of percentage points either way. The bench is awful.
