  1. Last year's Lofton would be a godsend compared to what I expect from Womack.
  2. Sega/ESPN sports games carry similar disclaimers. I think they're common for online games.
  3. Makes me long for Mike Myers' "detailed" analysis on the 1994 NHL strike.
  4. I've spoken to my closest associates, and we agree. We're not cliquish.
  5. This thread needs a "most improved odor" award.
  6. I love Belle & Sebastian. Their new single, "Your Cover's Blown," is definately worth a listen. Lazy Line Painter Jane is a great song, but it's probably not my favorite. It's definately up there though.
  7. Yes, I am sorry to say, that entry was not very enlightening.
  8. Iverson's up to 30 points, with over seven minutes left in the third.
  9. Apparently, the Giants won the Alou sweepstakes, paying him $13 Million over two seasons. Also, the White Sox signed P Orlando Hernandez for 2 years, $8 Million.
  10. The Phillies have both Lieber and Lieberthal. Almost makes me wish we had Travis Lee back.
  11. I also couldn't help but notice the Oakland Athletics expressed interest in Miller. Something tells me they're going to add another starter.
  12. Base salary of $1.5 Million, and Miller can earn up to $3 Million more via incentives. This is a reasonable risk for the Red Sox.
  13. I merged the two topics. Since CC posted the article, and jimmy posted the rosters, its a good setup. Commence conversation gentlemen.
  14. I doubt it. There's very little variance between his 2002 stats before the injury, and his 2003 stats afterwards. His 2003 was actually better, because he was slightly more hit lucky.
  15. Does the agreement cover the NFL, or just the NFLPA? I could easily see Sega making a game, and just assigning numbers instead of player names. Heck, Madden did that for most of the Genesis years. Or, some developer could always try a historical sports game. When Tony LaRussa Baseball came out, they used retired players instead of active players. A game like that with legendary NFL players could be fun.
  16. Ishii would be a HORRIBLE pickup. His ERA is a full run higher in Dodger Stadium, he has no control, and his strikeout rate nosedived this season.
  17. I think if the Cubs find a left handed hitting outfielder to platoon with DuBois, they're in good shape.
  18. That didn't stop the Mets from giving Pedro 50 Million. Speaking of the Mets... Mets make offer to Dave Dravecky
  19. I'm watching, just to see Shaquille completely dominate Kobe.
  20. Beltre himself is a fairly sizeable boom/bust. Drew's injury prone, but when healthy, he will hit.
  21. They could always do the deal themselves. Green/Brazoban/Penny for Randy Johnson. I'd laugh, actually.
  22. There's an auto format button on the upper right hand side of the text box. Have you tried checking it?
  23. I think the biggest problem is that college football had a rare system where people watched non-Championship Bowl Games. The BCS has already hurt the importance of those games. With a playoff, you have one big game, but the other games lose popularity.
  24. I picked it up. Great stuff. Homer meeting George Harrison is classic. "Oh my god! Where'd you get that brownie?!"
  25. If you started a thread every week, that would be one thing. It's not.
