Smackdown Spoilers for 05-09-2008
MarvinisaLunatic replied to The Truthiness's topic in The WWE Folder
* Vickie Guerrero comes out and says Edge has been cleared to wrestle. Edge spears Batista off the ring apron. * SmackDown ends with Edge celebrating I didnt think that meant Edge won but reading it that way makes more sense. Yay for no Batista at least..though Edge/Taker III = bleh I guess at least this time Edge gets Tombstoned instead of choked out. -
Clinton should have also allowed for drilling in ANWR back in 1995 so that today we'd have an extra million barrels of oil a day (out of 20 million daily used), but no one was thinking 13 years into the future then and we're not now. Its all about fixing things now and dealing with the consequences of the short term fix down the road, and it always leads to worse problems for the solution than the original problem presented. Hence gas tax holiday = extra money saved now BUT a few bridges will probably collapse because no money was given to repair them {they're already severely underfunded now as it is..} and kill some more people, and a couple hundred thousand people lose their jobs..big deal...I got an extra 10 dollars in my pocket..yeah!. EDIT: I was clicking around on the calculator and I clicked diesel and noticed that the tax on Diesel is basically 30 cents a gallon. I do have a strange feeling that if the truckers complain hard enough, that will probably get permanently reduced down to the level of regular gas at least, if not even lower, and that will do more for our economy than dropping the 18 cents for 3 months.

How much would a gas tax holiday save you? I figured 90 miles a week (4 days a week working @ 15 miles round trip and 30 miles extra for whatever reason, rather generous actually for me) + 600 extra miles between the trip to Harrisburg (Which will probably be close to 500 total miles) and the Trip to Harrington DE for the State Fair which will be about another 100 (ironically, my big trip to NYC the week of the 19th would not count and thats going to be close to about 900 miles or so). OMG..10 bucks! Meanwhile the government loses $9,000,000,000 (thats 9 Billion..) in revenue for roads and 300,000 people will lose their jobs. Now if MD would drop their gas tax of 23.5 cents, it would be a savings of 41.9 cents a gallon ($24.05, although thats not counting the gas I would inevitably have to purchase in PA and DE on my two trips..but anyway) Also, 57.4 gallons of gas is about 5 fillups for me which is probably right considering the extra 600 miles is about 2 tanks of gas and Im usually quite close to getting a tank of gas to last almost 4 weeks. I know gas wont stay @ $3.49 a gallon here all summer but also it wont go any lower than the $3.49-.18 so that amount of gas will cost at least $190 at a minimum of $3.31. Basically, its a 5% discount. Whoo..you can do better than that with a one of those special gas cards.

It stinks when your team is 4 games over .500 at home and 24 games under .500 on the road. The only drama now is whether or not they'll score 28 runs in the final 12 games to get 600. Worst offense ever. Oh, and Valenzuela will probably be a few IP short of 300 by the end of the season..

For the cubs fans~! hard to believe that was 10 years ago today

Im curious as to how it will perform on carpet vs a hard floor since scales are meant to be used on hard floors and you typically end up weighing a bit more on carpet than on a hard floor.

He/she should be at home watching the game in HD then, where he/she can blow their damn whistle/horn whenever they like.

whoever has the whistle in Oakland needs to have it shoved somewhere..

Except neither of the candidates has proposed carbon taxes. And all three candidates, including St. John, favor cap & trade. Cap and Trade will still require oil companies to purchase permits for their co2 spewing gas which will be passed on to the consumer as a price increase, just probably not as high as a carbon tax would be. The biggest issue though is that the price of the permits will fluctuate more than a flat carbon tax. Honestly I cant believe the environmentalists havent got their way with the carbon tax the way the Anti smoking people have gotten their way with taxes on ciggarettes. The theory is the same - put a high tax on an item thats unwanted for a good cause to discourage the purchase of it.

No you did not. Just because I cant type doesnt mean I didnt, though oddly enough the only class I ever failed at any point was 5th grade spelling.

I want to a gifted and talented Magnet school for grades 2-6. I got suspended in 3rd grade for reading a map of Africa near a black kid (go figure which country I pronounced wrong) Whatever grade I was in in 1992 (3rd?), I was the only kid that voted for Ross Perot in the school mock elections. I got suspended in 4th grade for insubordination for not sitting under my desk to read during English class because I couldnt fit under the desk. I almost got suspended in 5th grade for putting superglue on the door knob of the classroom portable building causing it to get stuck and not open. I was the Kindergarten Teachers Aide in 6th grade. I won my School's Geography Bee in 6th grade and was 2 questions away from going to Annapolis for the State Bee (I finished in 2nd place in 7th grade too) I never had to take Gym at any school level but it meant that I never got to participate in Field Day in elementary school, though I always got a "Participant" ribbon anyway...hmm But, I never once was suspended in Middle School or High School, and never once had detention either. Hell, I never even saw the inside of the Principal's office in High School.

Just like The Rock will never be taken seriously as an actor? Just like Jesse Ventura will never be taken seriously as a politician? Please go away Marvin... All Im saying is the fact that Vince gave Coach numerous chances to be a star and to go up in the WWF only to be a failure every time will surely end up haunting Coach in any future endeavors. Just like anyone else who has a job and is given numerous chances to prove themselves only to screw up each time.

3 Doors Down have been my favorite since their very first album was released way back in 1999, followed closely by R.E.M. (who I got addicted to Andy Kaufman through). I cant really put down a 3-5 or anything..but I can say that my XM Inno has about 250 songs on it right now (as well as the last two days worth of Glenn Beck..hmm) but most of the actual songs are off Lucy which is XM's 90's alternative (though one could gonna debate that) channel. A quick artist scan :Alice in Chains, Bush, Pearl Jam, STP and Soundgarden to name a few of the ones that I have more songs from. I also went from despising Dave Matthews Band to tolerating them since my GF is a rather huge fan of them (although she's oddly a big Country Music fan even though shes from NJ and only lived here 4 years for College) -
He'll never be taken seriously on ESPN...he'll always be the guy that did wrestling for 10 years and couldnt even cut it there.

I just saw this about the Nationals poor attendance figures..lets try and figure out why they're not selling out a new ballpark! Could it be the Capitals/Wizards playoff runs? Could it be the poor early spring weather? Could it be the fact that Nationals suck (well actually it could be that but..) aww.. they might want to rethink their ticket prices just a wee bit.

Wednesday 21st Im going to the Os/Yankees game with my GF and then Thursday we're going to try and cram as much sightseeing of NYC into the day as possible (I wanna see the WTC site, Coney Island (even though alas I dont think I will be able to ride the Cyclone damnit) and whatever else, although she has made one request to go to the Coyote Ugly Bar..so..yeah..theres your oppertunity. The 21st I'm only there for a half day - birthday breakfast in NYC then some birthday drinking and gambling in Atlantic City for 3 days. I'll be in Wayne NJ the 19th and 20th. I WAS going to Atlantic City that Friday on the way back here (via the Cape May Ferry) myself, however Glenn Beck and Hershey Park took the remaining funds I was going to gamble with so I wont be going now... -

From his 07 An Inconvenient Tour: Its not the greatest but hes not a professional stand up comedian either so.. Of course, this show in June will be about politics and why he could never be elected President despite having lots of people always saying he should run for President.
