I dont know many people past the age of like..9 who do that. Its much easier to cut off the corn with a knife and eat it that way. While you could wrap it in foil, nature provides corn on the cob in its own ovenable vessel called the husk so theres no need for foil. Butter/salt/pepper can go on the corn after its roasted. Plus the husk imparts a bit its own flavor to the corn which is nice.

I got a laugh out of this, especially coming from ESPN the day that ESPN shows an Orioles/Rays game on Wednesday/Sunday night will be the day before ESPN's facilities implode. And yes, I do remember about 4 years ago or so, ESPN did carry an Os/D-Rays game on the alternate ESPN feed, but that must have been a fluke or something. The last Os game that ESPN carried was last years Opener vs Minnesota

Every single HD TV manufacturer that is worth their salt is slashing prices on current models starting today, the biggest of which is Sony who is cutting around 25% off their prices. Gee, I wonder why?

For the "too much effort to eat" part, they do sell the neat little gadet that shucks the corn off the cob in one easy swipe (its got handles on both ends and a round circle in the middle). If you're too cheap for that, a knife and a couple runs down the cob gets the same results. Corn on the cob is vastly superior to any other form of corn available including frozen but definitely canned (I would never eat canned corn or any other canned veggies ever), especially if you get it local and not more than a day or two after it was picked. The sugar in the corn starts converting to regular starch rather fast after its picked off the stalk which makes it not nearly as sweet as when it was first picked. And for a really good change, roast your corn on the cob (in the husks) in the oven at 350 degrees for 30 minutes which makes the corn even sweeter tasting than just boiling it to death (ugh). If you do that and tell me that it doesn't taste all that great I'll have to declare your taste buds dead.

Im thinking about going to Atlantic City with my GF on the way back from NYC/Os game next month. Figure I'll blow whatever money I have left from the $600 government economic stimulus Chinese Welfare Check Im getting sometime this week there. I'll probably have about $100 left after hotel and travel expenses which is enough. Last week I won $100 on $5 a hand video Blackjack up in Delaware, I had to quit while I was ahead and enjoy the crazy drunk (Im assuming, or else he was really stupid) guy who kept feeding it $100 bills (probably an easy grand in about 2 hours) and losing while I was playing on the same $20 that I started on.

Thank you for explaining to me that car price is determined by the all-important relative attractiveness of the vehicle, and not based on arbitrary things like size, reliability, demand, horsepower, features, or type of engine and transmission. I just told you, the majority of people only want hybrids if they can differentiate them from a regular car so that the car becomes a status symbol. "Hey, look at me! I drive a hybrid..Im doing my part to stop global warming, protect the environment and ween america off foreign oil..what are you doing?" Also, people who put priority into horsepower or types of transmissions aren't probably getting excited over hybrids, at least now anyway. Most fuel efficient cars have crappy horsepower. My yaris only has a 106, the civic hybrid only has 110 (vs the regular Civics 197+) and the Prius only gets 110 as well.

The Honda Civics are cheaper than the Toyota Prius because they look exactly like the regular Civic which arent that great to look at in their own right. People who buy hybrids want people to know that they're driving a hybrid because its a status symbol and unless you're riding right up on the bumper of a Hybrid Civic you cant tell whether its a hybrid or not. Of course, Im contradicting myself with that on the Insight but it was also only a 2 seater so it was very impractical for most people, and that was probably the bigger downfall for it than the fact its one ugly looking car.

Im willing to bet Styles is back next week at least for the 100th ECW.
