Because its not about smoking...I dont smoke myself and never will but I do have a problem with goverment sticking its nose in where it doesnt belong by te telling people they cant do something thats still perfectly legal on their own property which is why it wont be too long after that before they'll ban smoking altogether (though not before they exhaust the tax on it). Maybe youd have a problem with the government saying you cant drink alcohol in your own house? There are already laws in place that prevent bars from serving patrons who are obviously drunk but theres nothing to stop people from drinking in excess in their own home, so its a logical extension of current laws to prevent drunk driving by saying you can no longer drink in your own home. See where this is going?

The money spent on the war on drugs is a drop in the bucket of government spending. If some effort was put into securing the borders it would probably be more effective, but as long as theres wide open borders to both Mexico and Canada (yes, I think they'll eventually need to put up a wall on the Canadian Border too) they'll never be able to successfully fight any war on drugs.

You guys think they're going to legalize weed..haha..you all realize that the Nanny State government is moving towards banning things that aren't good for you..not legalizing them. When there's no more tax revenue to be had from ciggarette taxes due to a vast majority of people quitting, you'll see them banned for good since its pretty much getting to that point anyway when laws are being proposed saying you cant even smoke in your own house if you have kids. either that or people will have to start walking around in their own little smoking bubbles anytime they want to smoke anywhere. The sad part is he'll be Baltimore's 2nd best pitcher. They wanted a guy that would eat innings like Trax but Fogg hasnt thrown more than 200 innings ever and hasnt even topped 170ish recently. As it stands with Fogg the Rotation will probably look like Guthrie/Loewen/Fogg/Cabrera/Patton. Last year it was going to be Bedard/Cabrera/Wright/Loewen/Benson, then Benson got hurt and they brought in Trachsel, Wright got hurt and they started Guthrie and Loewen got hurt and they went with Brian Burres. Loewen was off to a really fast start before getting hurt which is why people are optimistic he can handle the #2 slot.. Id almost rather they abandon Cabrera as a starter and have him be the closer so they could use Garrett Olson in the 5th spot...I think Cabrera would be nasty as the Closer with his ability to strike out a side, but it would also be heart attack inducing watching him walk the bases loaded just as often..but hes not cut out to be a starter any longer..he hasnt shown any signs of improvement after several years of knowing he has control issues..and he led the league last year in Walks, Wild Pitches and Earned Runs and was 2nd in hit batters...so hes getting worse..

The Orioles are going to sign Josh Fogg to a contract. yuckity yuck at least we have a dragon slayer on the team now..yeah. Oh, and Adam Jones is off on the right foot in Baltimore..hes been talking to guys like Ray Lewis, Jim Palmer and Brooks Robinson..so he seems like he wants to fit in Baltimore and hopefully he does. He is a Colts fan though..BOO! Mark McLemore (a former Oriole) was one of his mentors which is pretty cool..I liked him when he was an Oriole.

we have no comedy clubs here, Id have to go to Baltimore. My favorite comedian is of course Andy Kaufman but he really didn't do standup per se. He would do really bad standup in his foreign man character though but it was a joke. My favorite standup guy is/was Mitch Hedberg. Im glad to hear that, but still..its not like this is an isolated situation. If theres one family doing this in some small town in the Northwest, there are others who will probably make it a point not to advertise their situation. This is a difficult one for me. No one should ever be scared into not voting for him because of a bunch of nutjobs, but at the same time, this woman has a valid point. I know he has the best security in the world, but even then, there's only so much you can do about some crazy guy with a gun who doesn't care about getting caught. This has been the kind of week I needed..I have one guy who has more blocks (Smith - 17) than just about every other team and I have a total of 38 which is just crazy as no one has more than 18 total for their whole team. I was able to luck into (by way of Kaman having an outstanding year) positioning my team well in the Blocks/Rebounds/Assists/Steals/Points categories but Im really taking a horrific beating in 3 pointers (1-13). Ive pretty much decided its not worth trying to improve 3 pointers at the cost of the other stats though though Im getting some help in 3's from a couple of guys I recently added in Sefolosha and Radmonovic.

I dont think it is..but apparently there are plenty of people who do.
