  1. why aren't they sowing the last Giants super bowl? Oh yeah..hmm...
  2. Do you want some HD Cheese to go with that HD coughxcough syrup? Here's an idea, instead of watching the Pats win yet another Super Bowl, go get your ass LAID. My gf is up in NJ right now. She is a small time Jets fan. Im gonna watch the puppy bowl myself
  3. Theres a little saying about actions.. Seriously, yeah Huckabee did well with the questions he got but the thing is, the whole debate was pretty much a setup to let McCain and Romney go at it, otherwise they would have sat them at the table differently. Huckabee's got nothing to lose at this point, as he's not going to miraculously win any of the major states and he's not going to lose the support in the couple of southern states that he does have no matter what. From here on out its going to be Romney vs Mccain, which will end up as bad as Clinton/Obama already is. Huckabee will be the 3rd wheel (or is that Ron Paul..hmm) in the remaining debates and he'll probably come off looking better than the other two because they're going to be bashing each other over pointless nonsense. Mccain and Romney spending twenty minutes trying to define the term timetable is was the worst, and it was great that Ron Paul at least got to call them both out for it. I think McCain suffered as much as Romney did, if not more because Romney seemed to at least have the support of the crowd a couple times. But no one in California or any of the major states on Tuesday is going to pay Huckabee any attention because hes a flat out wackjob.
  4. the 2 Elimination Chamber matches were already spoiled in the newsletter. I was responding to them, not the Smackdown spoilers. I guess newsletters should be 100% spoiler tagged now?
  5. they cant possibly have Ron Paul on the debate tonight..he might actually get to talk for more than 15 seconds with only Mccain, Romney and Huckabee up there.
  6. Wait a minute..they're going to do 2 EC's at No Way Out? WHAT? Who in their right mind would think thats a good idea?
  7. anyone else get a Royal Rumble email survey today?
  8. No jokes about me please..thanks
  9. Is delaney gonna be dreamer's protege? I can almost see the backstage skits over the next few weeks with Dreamer showing Colin how to be hardcore and stuff. Edit: The Heenan quote on the chavo package was awesome..
  10. Welcome to 2006!
  11. Adam Jones might have a degenerative hip which is why PA apparently nixed the deal. Albert Belle says hello! I guess the first thing the Os check in their physicals is the hip.
  12. Im not a big conspiracy theory guy though I do have a few. I did give up listening to Coast to Coast AM a while back,
  13. hmm..I'll go at it
  14. I don't think that's something you should be proud of. Ive voted in every election since 2000 (Nader/Erlich(MD Gov)/Kerry/Erlich) Im still pissed because MD moved up their Primary I couldnt register as a Republican from an Independent and thus cant vote in any primary here in Maryland. Erlich losing and the state of Maryland turning into a shithole over night after 4 good years of a Republican Governor was my "pivot point" so to speak in terms of my change from independent to Republican.
  15. I dont get it all from Glenn Beck, as I do look up stuff on the internet as well.. and if it wasn't for Glenn Beck I probably wouldnt have nearly the same amount of interest in the election. that has to be better than a lot of people who are completely uninformed about everything when they go to vote (I have no idea why they'd even bother wasting their time to go vote, but it happens). And I dont agree with everything Glenn Beck has to say. Im not at all religious, I dont care about abortions one way or the other though I do support stem cell research for the obvious medical reasons. I do really agree with him on the issues of Illegal Immigration (and the related MexAmeriCanada and the Amero), the Economy and Global Warming. Those 3 issues are huge for me and the reason why I listen to his show on a daily basis (and try to catch the CNN show when I can) (and buy his book) (and buy stuff off his website). I got this sticker for my car Ive already had one person stop me and say how it was cool I was driving an eco friendly car and thank me for doing my part for the environment. I didnt have the heart to tell em the truth
  16. Thats discussed on page 146-147 of "An Inconvenient Book" in the chapter on Media Bias. after "Sir, prove to me that you are not working with our enemies" most people leave out the part "And I know you're not" as well as "I am not accusing you of being an enemy" and "I really dont believe that Islam is a relgion of Evil. I -- you know I think its being hijacked, quite frankly" But everyone ran to attack beck with the "prove to me you are not working with our enemies" line..completely ignoring the rest. How about the time when he called the Katrina victims scumbags..or called Jimmy Carter "a waste of Skin"..oh wait..he actually meant that last one. Umm, how is it media bias? No one twisted his words, and I posted the entire thing including what you just typed. Watch the video for yourself. The guy came off as pompous asshole. Tell me what was the point of asking the question in the first place....was it just Glenn Beck humor and I just don't "get it"? No one is "ignoring the rest" It was obvious he was just being a prick for the sake of being a prick when he starts the entire thing off with "yeah I know you are for cutting and running" From the book (page 143) "There is literally an intire industry now set up through big-named Democratic financiers to force me and others with a conservative point of view of the air. I believe this is a sign of liberal talk-radio surrender. Since those shows and networks couldnt win in the marketplace, they've resorted to slanderous calls of racisim and bigotry and taking words out of context." see the media matters website. And yes, a lot of his stuff he gets called out on is either him screwing up (here) or a poor taste in humor (Mexinol). and...yeah..we need to get back to the topic of the election and not Glenn Beck, though Im sure I'll have some stuff for tomorrow from his show to post..

  18. So essientially its either Obama or Clinton and McCain or Romney. Romney better get his act together.
  19. Huckabee is going to be the Republican John Edwards in that he's going to hang in for no good reason. No one takes either of them seriously anymore.
  20. I think Giuliani is going to be Mccains VP. the ultimate WE ARE THE WAR ticket that or maybe he'd get Ron Paul as the VP to help him with his economics..
  21. I'll sit here and support the troops no matter what but that doesnt mean that im supporting the war when I do it. To show them that level of disprespect by playing the petty bullshit games is rediculous. Its not like if they fucking got up off their asses and clapped for a few seconds in support of the troops that anyone in their right mind would have gone "OH MY GOD! THE DEMOCRATS SUPPORT BUSH'S WAR!! STOP THE PRESSES!" and its really agrivating me because I haven't heard ANYONE (not even the great Glenn Beck) call the democrats out on this.
  22. OH SO IN A DISCUSSION OF SOCIAL SECURITY YOU PULL OUT A NUMBER THAT REFERS TO MEDICARE, SOCIAL SECURITY, AND "OTHER PLANS," WHATEVER THE HELL THAT MEANS, ONLY TO INFORM US THAT THE NUMBER YOU WERE USING TO FEARMONGER ABOUT SOCIAL SECURITY ACTUALLY DOESN'T REFER TO SOCIAL SECURITY. YOU ARE STARTING TO STRIKE ME AS A DISHONEST TROLL. First of all the other two programs are Railroad Retirement and the Black Lung Program, and as far as I know they are relatively small compared to Social Security and Medicare. And yes, medicare is the bigger portion of the $53 trillion ($34 trillion) but Social Security is right behind it and they are usually bunched together as Baby Boomers will be drawing benefits from both programs as they retire. Did you know that: Railroad workers do not pay social security? Thats what the railroad retirement thing is for. That seems a tad bit outdated, I dont think we're in the 1930s anymore. and Black Lung program is to pay healthcosts for coal miners who get black lung..seems obvious enough..
  23. According to the Social Security trustees report from aught 5, SS can pay full benefits through the year 2042 with no changes whatsoever. The Congressional Budget Office says that it can do the same through 2052. Even after those dates, Social Security will always be able to pay a higher inflation adjusted benefit than what retirees receive today. Those FRIGHTENING multitrillion-dollar debts (honestly, I don't know where you got $53 trillion--the trustees report puts the system's shortfall over the "infinite horizon" at $10 and a half trillion) translate into a deficit equal to 0.7 percent of future income--presented in a simple, easy to read format in the Social Security trustees report. The Social Security "crisis" of '05 was completely manufactured, solely to bolster Bush's attempt at privatization. Article (not directly from Glenn Beck though he was on the radio and TV show with the same message) the keyword is undfunded, as in..we dont have the money to pay them as of yet. the guy is the head of the Government Accountability Office and essentially is the Nations Comptroller. If he doesn't know about the governments financial issues then there isn't anyone that does. Read this for the actual number crunching and And heres the PDF of the report directly from the GAO on the governments treasury department website
  24. Im assuming youre refering to his stance on abortion. I really dont care one way or another about abortions, and thats the only major flip flop I know hes made, whereas Mccain has made at least 4 I know of. I also have an idea where Romney made his flip flop So its good to at least know he changed his mind for moral reasons instead of changing them to get more votes. You are shitting me. Seriously, he changes his stances on 1) Gay Marriage 2) Abortion 3) Stem Cell Research All basically at the same time, and you say "He's evolved"? I'm sorry, but I can't believe that from a guy who lied to the face of Michigan saying he was going to magically bring back manufacturing jobs to this state. McCain has done a minor flip on taxes, but it stands up with a view he's always had: Not to increase taxes. Once they were lowered, he didn't go to increase them. But hey, I suppose we can't evolve there, right? Immigration is something he's always been on the more liberal side. I'm not sure how he's flip-flopped here: He does have a legit claim that what he's put in place isn't actually amnesty. Global Warming? What's the flip-flop? Again, he's always been closer to the center. I don't think he's directly contradicted anything he's done in the past here. Christ, I'm coming off way too in favor of McCain in this post when I'm only interested in him as an option. Damn you, Marvin. Glenn Beck had a 15 min radio segment on mccains Flip flops. Highlights: theres the 4. and even I admit Romney lied to Michigan about bringing jobs back, but I dont think it was an intentional lie, as he wants to do it but he will never be able to..
  25. sounds like a socialism concept to me Clinton's economic literacy in that NYT article almost makes me want to vote for her. I never said raising the tax was socialist. I got distracted by that part of the article talking about economic equality, which is the socialist part.
