  1. Giuliani is out and will support Mccain..bah
  2. Im assuming youre refering to his stance on abortion. I really dont care one way or another about abortions, and thats the only major flip flop I know hes made, whereas Mccain has made at least 4 I know of. I also have an idea where Romney made his flip flop So its good to at least know he changed his mind for moral reasons instead of changing them to get more votes.
  3. Theres about 50 other websites in the google search I did with the same quotes. Heres more detailed from the NY Times: We know she wants to return the top tax bracket to almost 40% from 35%..and clearly if she thought she could get away with it Id say she'd be going for even higher. As far as the the troops thing goes, I still dont see how the Democrats couldn't for just one second applaud the efforts of the troops in Iraq. But no, we're democrats, we hate the war even if it means by association we won't applaud the troops for doing their job and risking their lives. Fucking assholes.
  4. I just saw a couple seconds of Glenn Beck. He said "do you ever notice how at the State of the Union, they never know when to stand up and clap, and sometimes some people don't?" What kind of remedial-ass shit is this? Its called humor and apparently you dont get it. Although I did hear a valid point today..at some point last night Bush was saying something about how the entire country was standing behind the troops in hopes that they will eventually be victorious and the Republicans applauded while the Democrats sat on their hands. So the Democrats, the same people supported mostly by a "support the troops, not the war" wont applaud the efforts of the troops in Iraq just because of some petty ass bipartisan bs? Yeah.. Todays "sounds like a socialist concept to me" concept is: Economic Fairness/Equality/Justice Link In 1944, the highest tax bracket was 90% of net income for people making more than 200,000 and it was above 82% until 1965. YEAH FOR 90% TAX RATES ON THE RICH! (for comparison its 35% for above $311,000 in 2003, most recent figures here I can only imagine a tariff on foreign cars to help out the poor American Automaker who cant compete with the big bad evil Japanese companies..aww..
  5. That seems to be the universal exuse for why most of the internet hates Cena, yet HBK "overcomes the odds" more than Cena despite being the least threatening member of the roster and everyone's fine with him. At least Cena looks the part when he "overcomes the odd" and isn't a skinny, old orange guy trying to be 25 still. Cena obviously overcame the odds of drawing #1-29 randomly..
  6. I stayed up for that?
  7. I thought at first that Jesus was HBK..that would have been so awesome.
  8. I think they can go one of two ways for WM, but they both suck.. Option 1 - Cena beats Orton easily. HHH has to cheat circa Austin at WM X-7 levels to win the Elimination Chamber and turn him heel. They can do Cena/HHH effectively with fun loving DX HHH. Option 2 - Orton murders the crap out of Cena. HHH barely squeaks out a win in the chamber. Now Im left to wonder who Edge will face at NWO/WM. Doesnt it make the Smackdown method of choosing the #1 contender seem like crap when RAW gets the EC to decide? Lets have another BEAT THE CLOCK CHALLENGE!..but this time Batista and taker finish with identical times! OH MY And I think with Flair at WM, it needs to be a double retirement match..ie whoever loses retires, not just Flair.
  9. 1) I didn't start the thread. 2) You of all people shouldn't be criticizing me... or anyone. You did start A thread (which was what I thought I was posting in)..its bad enough this lame non-event got two threads out of it, I didnt even notice anything happened until I caught the thread down here..and so far it seems like you are the only one being whiny about what happened for all of 10 minutes.
  10. If it wasnt efficient it would have gone bankrupt 10 years ago and it will go bankrupt in its current form when 78 million baby boomers go to draw social security over the next 20 years. Right now every household owes $400,000 just to pay the amount owed to pay the obligations included in the 53 trillion debt, composed mostly of the obligations to social security.
  11. i thought this was some actual drama or something..not the Matt Young Whiny Bitch Hour
  12. the bad thing is once hd dvd is dead and burried, Im sure the free movie offers and b1g1f offers on blu ray will end as well
  13. Im willing to bet Hannah Montana pulls in 100 million over the course of the whole week with probably half of that in the weekend.
  14. Feliz can't hit for shit, but he's good enough defensively to make up for it and be a better than average player. It's the kind of signing that makes a lot of sense for a team like the Phillies. I think Kyle Kendrick will like him as well with his tendency to put the ball on the ground. Apparently the Bedard trade will net the Orioles Adam Jones, George Sherrill, Chris Tillman and one or two other prospects. The hold-up at this point is Angelos, who has not signed off on the deal. I don't know what he's waiting for because that's a monstrous haul for Bedard. A Scott/Jones/Markakis outfield is nasty... and cheap. Angelos nixed it. In other news, PA is a complete waste and I cannot wait for the day when he dies.
  15. Nah. No I don't. Everyone else proclaims every utterance of his as the funniest thing ever in the history of funny. oh come on, the High Definition joke was hillarious.
  16. why does jericho's shirt look like HBK's shirt?
  17. Damn you japanese people with your high definition technology! OH MY HAHA
  18. Clinton's economic proposals aren't very different from Obama's. Red-baiting is fun, though. Anyone who disagrees with Glenn Beck is a dirty commie, amirite? But Huck supports the FAIRTAX~! I'd like to know what differentiates Romney's economic policy from the other GOPsters. Huckabee is also a crazy religious fool that wants to change the constitution to be in line with what god would want. Anyone thats not a religious fanatic should see how dangerous a man like that could be in the position as President. I also dont know what you call a government program to give everyone healthcare..sounds like a socialism concept to me, but I might be wrong. And all you have to do is a little research to see that while the idea of everyone having healtchare paid for by the government is attractive, its going to be worse than what we have now in the end. Im tired of people who want the government to do everything for them..so much so that I think if the government would offer a program to wipe some people's asses they'd bend right over and take them up on the offer if it meant they wouldnt have to do it themselves despite the fact that it would be you know..the government wiping your ass. Incentives for people to get their own healthcare would be the best thing that anyone could do right now (Romney and Rudy both have plans). There are still states that do not allow Health Care Savings plans, which are one of the best ways people could deal with healthcare costs (I have one, its pretax dollars and its great, reduce taxable income AND have money to buy medicine). I mean, I totally want to have government run the countries healthcare programs..they've really handled the whole Social Security program with such great success, so much so that it could bankrupt the whole country in 20 years..but heh..we dont need to talk/worry about that right now least we have an angry mob of recently retired old people coming at us with their canes. As far as Obama is concerned, I havent heard much directly from him pertaining to any economic policies, its all hope and change and rallying America behind him, but im sure its the same "the rich need to pay more taxes, middle class needs a tax cut" bs that the Democrats are known for. Romney's biggest difference in Economic policy is that he's actually run businesses that made money instead of running them into the ground which is whats happening currently to the country. Of course, he's for lowering the corporate income tax to 20% from 35%, which means "the rich" are going to be making more money..but he'd also lower the lowest tax bracket from 10% to 7.5% as well. I dont think Mccain has any real good ideas on economic plans (hes only MR I WAS IN VIETNAM) and while I still like Huckabee's flat tax..theres no fucking way he can be taken seriously anymore. Giuliani wants to cut he corp tax to 25% but nothing for the lowest bracket. theres probably way more to differentiate Romney/Giuliani/McCain/Huckabee on the economic issues but thats mostly what I know. Only in America can a centre-right candidate be called a socialist they can be when they are promoting socialist programs.
  19. HHH vs Orton at WM is still on
  20. not having problems here
  21. aww..poor Cena
  22. Im agreeing with Glenn Beck on a couple things: A) The same Republican party that bashed John Kerry 4 years ago for flip flopping his positions on issues is now not coming out and saying anything about John McCain, the new Republican media darling, and his flip flops on issues such as immigration, tax cuts, and global warming. Hes got the momentum right now and seen as one who can garner support from displeased democrats who dont want to vote for Clinton/Obama. B) Not being really enthused with the republican options, especially if its McCain..Beck is advocating letting Hillary/Obama win and have free reign of Washington for 2 years and make a push for 2010 mid term elections to try and get Republican control of the house/senate back. Im not voting democrat no matter what (Obama doesn't have enough experience and I dont want Clinton's socialism in America program). I don't like Huckabee (too wackjobish/religous) and I dont like Mccain (flip flop flip flop). Rudy has a good mix of Economic and Defense policies but Im not convinced he'll survive Florida. Romney has the best Economic policy and since the economy is my #1 issue I would support him. Also, while Im thinking of it, this whole foreign wellfare program...err..economic stimulus package has me pissed off completely. The last thing this country needs is for the government to borrow 150 million from China and the Saudis so they can give people, most of whom didn't pay taxes, a 600 "rebate". Its not a rebate, its a form of Welfare under the guise of helping the economy and since the government has to borrow the money from foreign countries to do it, its completely stupid but the people of this country are too stupid to see anything more than a nice big check in the mail, carefree of the source of the money. And its great, the Saudis and Chinese loan us the money and we'll end up spending the money ob cheap chinese crap and gas, thus making them even more money, not even factoring the money they'll get back on the loans wiith interest. The US islike a drug addict and China is the drug dealer..we're borrowing money from the drug dealer to buy the drugs and agreeing to pay em back later..its going to be a vicious cycle if we dont put an end to it soon.. I was going to not cash the check and all, but people were calling me crazier than they usually do (ITS FREE MONEY YOU MORON!) (well its not but anyway most people think it is) so Ive decided that Im going to donate my $600 to a charity to be named later. The $600 isnt going to make or break me, as I am usually able to save about as much myself anyway above my 401k @ work each month and I think the money cut be put to better use through a charity.
  23. Can I scream now or later WHAT THE FU.. ..CK?
  24. I had never heard of Untraceable (and still know nothing about it) and How She Move (Canadian street dance movie as best I can tell) You know next weekends #1 is going to be worse than Meet the Spartans, the only redeeming thing is it wont be an actual movie but still..
