  1. With the # of injuries they've had, they would be extemely lucky to go 5-2. Also lucky that all the injuries happened early vs the soft schedule instead of late when it gets brutal.
  2. fact is, they win today/next week they're 5-2. Pittsburgh plays Denver next week at 4-1. By the end of next week, the Ravens could be tied for first in the AFC North with the Browns being the only other possible challenge for the Division (Bengals look like they're staring 1-4 in the mouth). Get to the Bye at 5-2, get healthy and prepare for a brutal MNF game @ Pittsburgh.
  3. That was us! "Very stupid" =/= "are morons"
  4. and yet they're probably going to win another ugly game.. I Dont care if they win 38-10 or 9-7 STOP THE PRESSES! McGahee TD from the 6!
  5. Heres a shocker! Ravens inside the 25 twice...2 Matt Stover FGs. The Ravens couldnt find the end zone if it was the size of the whole field.
  6. BOLLERS HURT! I was gonna say "Bring in Troy Smith" but unfortunately Mcnoair is warming up.. edit: luckily I Guess..hes still in the game.
  7. Boller is starting! YEAH!
  8. the one with him getting kicked in the face is hysterical
  9. I found that pick..he was my first choice in the PM I Sent..oh well. My next pick is coming shortly: Jeff Green, F Seattle
  10. I know something like 40 cable companies carry WWF 24/7 although I dont know how many actually subscribe. But, if it were put on a sports tier of a cable/satellite company, all of their subscribers would pay for it regardless of whether or not they watch the channel at all. Good example is NFL Network which charges cable/sat companies $.75 a subscriber, which some saw as too high, but eventually its carried now to almost 60 million households. If those 40 cable companies + Directv and Dish (which are roughly 20 million subs alone and dont offer 24/7 yet) add WWENet (or whatever the hell Vince called it) I could see about 40 million subscribers. 40 million subscribers x $.15 a subscriber (a really low price for a cable channel) would $6 million a month alone (or $18 million per quarter) not counting advertising rates that they wouldnt have to share or take a small cut of. WWF made $24 million in the 2nd quarter this year on their tv deal and it looks like that will be lower given the USA deal getting lowered. Granted I dont know all the details of how much it would cost to run the network but still.. I saw the general figure to set up a cable network is $100 million, however I do believe that the WWF probably has the equipment already in place to do it so they could probably save 1/2 of that easily.
  11. Itd be like the NFL Network, Im sure Vince would have trouble getting carriage early but eventually I think all the cable companies that carry 24/7 would carry it as well and Im sure Directv/Dish Network would too. it'd be in the Sports Tier or similar level. I dont see how its any different from the Tennis Channel, Golf Channel or Boxing Channel, niche sports that have their own networks. Hell, even ratings starved as the NHL is, they're getting their own network, and the NHL made about the same amount of money ($400 million) as the WWF did. How is a cable network a bad thing? Non wrestling fans might be more apt to watch if there was an entire network and the schedule had showings of RAW/SD/ECW multiple times, as well as OVW Shows, classic shows. Vince wouldnt need to put much money out for it since Im sure they have the production facilities in Stamford to do it now. Fact is, at some point, the Money Vince could make by this Wrestling venture will outweigh the money he'll get from USA or any other network given the current state of Wrestling in general. And he'd be ahead of the game in terms of having a cable network, an on demand service and a internet presence.
  12. Are you sure? What if it's not in high definition? uhh.. ?? Maybe by then Directv will have WGN HD and they'll show one of the games..but..Id rather go see them there LIVE so it wouldnt matter.
  13. The Os are playing the Cubs June 24-26 at Wrigley Field next year..first time the Os have played there I do believe. Im thinking seriously of going.
  14. So, did 83% of the posters in this thread stop reading the original post before this part of the story? I think the discussion is revolving along the lines of what happens when USA come back to renew the deal in 2008 and offer Vince far below what he's prepared to take, he takes his ball and leaves (or tries to), rather than an out-and-out cancelling. I suggested two ways (Wrestling Network, Internet only) as ways Vince could combat USA lowballing him and having no other network to go to. Both of which would kill the company. A wrestling only network would bring way more exposure than 2 hours on USA/CW and 1 hour on Sci Fi so I dont see how it would kill the WWF.
  15. Steve McNair is gonna be a game time decision after missing practice yesterday and today. Hopefully Boller gets the start.
  16. the Drew guy looks like Stevie Richards in a kilt..sorta
  17. You shouldnt have asked that! HAHA..I get to talk about the Ravens! WHOO! I know he still holds several QB records for the Ravens and that dates back to 1996/97 and he made the pro bowl in 96. He threw for over 4000 yards and had 33 TD passes in 96 which were both career highs that he hasn't even come close to since.

  19. Its nice seeing michael rappaport getting work after the War at Home got canned. Edit: That was a pretty funny episode..makes me realize that I hate the "earl in prison" episodes.
  20. The newest EGM has an article about the crap games that are flooding the Nintendo..also points out that its no longer the "Official Nintendo Seal of Quality"..just "Official Nintendo Seal" haha
  21. Vince's easiest option would be to take a cue from the NFL, NBA, NHL and soon MLB and create a Wrestling Channel. Theres enough content in his library as evidenced by 24/7 that he could do it. The other solution is Vince goes internet only and gets to keep all the ad revenue himself. Hell, he's half way there now with the diva search crap and heat via internet only.
  22. What I figure happens is HBK wins but loses at CS but theres a rematch at SS. Someone other than HBK winning would at least break the current trend of rematches.
  23. Ratings will be through the roof in January for all 3 shows when they finally switch to HD now that USA and Sci Fi (as well as CW) are in HD. or not.
  24. looking towards the 2008-2009 season and the hole in the Sunday Night Lineup once KOTH goes away: Why is it that all animated stuff has to be about a disfunctional family/person?
  25. did anyone else hear spanish throughout the Balls match?
