They didnt have it hooked up..the tv over top of it was being fed that same signal as all the other tvs. Talk about stupid. The picture quality would have to be better than anything you get on cable because its full bandwith no compression (which is why the capcity of the discs needed to be so large). Cable squeezes HD bandwith with some compression and satellite pretty much squeezes it enough to get juice if it were a fruit.

As for what she looks like, I said that I didnt know, but I do know a few things..Shes "short", she has brown hair, and shes 26 which is 2 years older than me. The short thing kinda worries me since she said "short" and not a specific height. Im almost 6'2" so I would hope "short" is closer to like 5'6" than 5' but whatever.

Shes got a slight southern accent, but thats about normal for people around here.

HD-DVD discs will not work on any standard DVD player out on the market currently, upconverting or not.. Oh, and I saw my first HD-DVD player at Best Buy earlier in the week and the thing is huge. The HD-DVD cases are slick looking though. Oh, and to throw another wrench into the equation..Sony is equiping its PS3 with HDMI 1.3 which has a higher bandwith and support for more colors. Fortunately, its backwards compatible with regular HDMI.

Get the blender container good and cold ahead of time, that should fix your problem.

For what its worth, I was able to put to bed any lingering doubts I had about the phone call (I admit I know I sounded extremely nervous early on and the whole cooking thing I was kinda worried came across wrong) because she sent me an email just now saying that she "felt a connection" and that she'd like to hear from me again, even going as far as to say shed be home the rest of the night if I wanted to call her tonight. But Im going to stick to my original plan of calling her Monday.

Bob Saget is doing the O&A Traveling Virus Comedy Tour in August/September. Id go if there was a show somewhere closer than NJ. He was on O&A last August to promote The Aristocrats and..well heres the description: Op brings up the story of Bob Saget’s daughter’s birth, so Bob starts telling the story – basically his wife was in intensive care because of a traumatic birth, and he was taking care of the baby. He says he was holding her and in response to ‘you daughter’s beautiful’ he said ‘you could finger her for a dollar’. Theres dirty, and then theres "you can finger my baby for a dollar".

And yeah, my work sticks its nose in things again as I've got to cook 3 out of the next 4 days starting tomorrow, but she already said she had plans for the weekend anyway. She did say though that she was up for going out any night next week..I for some reason picked Wednesday. Im going to call her again Monday though. Oh, and one other positive bonus to me..she doesn't drink.

The only reason I posted the 138 thing at the time was cause like I said I just saw my cell phone and it said 138 minutes and I was stunned cause I didnt realize I talked that long. Thats probably a record for me talking on the phone to anyone as well. Oh, and I dont know about the chicken thing, but I know there are some vegetarians who eat fish (she doesn't). She said she wont eat chicken on a bone cause she has a wierd thing about the bones, but she'll eat boneless chicken and I never asked why. Oh, and If I do ever get to cook with her: Ratatouille..which is a great idea this time of year since I should be able to get all of the fresh vegetables down the road from one of the farmers that put up a produce stand all the time in the summer, cheap too.

138 is actually pretty obvious if you think about it. Oh, screw it, this is good news for a change.... I just talked with this girl Kim for 2 hours and 18 minutes (I know this because my cell has a call timer and it cost me a bundle to call..I should have used the landline) over the phone. How I got her number is irrelevent and a story I will not divulge, however I was the one that called her (right after the Os game finished). It didnt exactly start too well, but it went about 2 hours and 15 minutes longer than I thought it would. But I think we talked about a ton of things and we do have a lot of common interests and she sounds like a generally good person and I actually had to end the call because I need to go to bed, however I cant sleep now if I tried..so I just took 2 sleeping pills. The even better news is I will be going out to dinner with her on Wednesday, which should be fun since she's a vegetarian and a type 1 diabetic. She is getting ready to start taking classes in 2 weeks at UMES, and she has her own apartment across the street from my old high school. No..I dont know what she looks like and she doesnt know what I look like although I mentioned the important thing. I may have also goofed up a bit, but I'll stand behind it..she said, paraphrasing as best I can remember "I really dont know how to cook, I usually eat out a lot" which rang bells in my brain to offer to at some point if things go well show her a few things and maybe cook a meal together..although not as smoothly as that. She said something to the effect of "we'll see" which was after we had agreed to dinner. Im supposed to call her on Monday..so between now and Monday I've got to come up with a good restaurant that a type 1 diabetic/ pretty strict vegetarian (she'll eat chicken as long as its boneless and thats it) can eat at..Im probably going to break down and see where she eats at so often.
