From what I've read, MTV HD is all concerts and music programming, most of which is filmed in HD, culled from MTV,VH1 and CMT. The music videos they air are stretched a la TNT HD, since there aren't many music videos shot in HD, but expect that to change. When it started they aired the same 4 hours on a loop over and over but they're adding more programming. They have a setup in Vail Colorado for the studio and its setup to be all in HD.. No MTV reality crap or non-music programming. Its what those 3 networks should be..but I figure eventually it will get to be as bad as the regular channels. ESPN HD ESPN 2 HD Universal HD TNT HD Discovery HD HDNet Movies HDNet FOX/NBC/ABC/CBS NFL Network HD (not full time though) CDUSA (a 1 hour concert show exclusive to Directv) I know that some providers are carrying MHD (which is MTV's HD Channel), Food Network/HGTV HD (which pisses me off that I cant get it), National Geographic HD (Meh)..there are probably a couple of others I missed..

HDTV-philes (er, what ever the hell you want to call people like me) aren't going "WTF?" though. I just cant afford to spend $500 on one or the other without knowing if either will actually become the default next gen HD optical disc format, but I would love to have one. Cause you know it is entirely possible with the majority of consumers going "WTF?" to the whole next gen HD optical disc format war that it causes both to flop and we stick with DVDs for a while. I mean, even I know from both sides that its all because you can buy DVD players for $20 and DVDs for $5 now..theres no money in DVDs anymore. Problem is, if neither Blu-Ray or HD-DVD get off the ground within the next 18 months, I dont think you'll see another optical disc format..both formats only exist for HD movies and its getting close to the point where VOD and Downloads will be more popular methods for getting movies than buying/renting DVDs..games certainly dont need 50 GBs of space either and they will eventually go to download/on demand as well.

I sent you a PM. If anything, Id recommend turning the damn melody (the annoying sound that plays when you turn on/off the tv) if you have that. The other recommendations will make your picture look better. The deflection settings, dont mess with them, but they help correct overscan (picture that should be on screen but isn't visible cause its off the screen). I had to record an HD Test Pattern of HDNet in order to set that and it is a total bitch to mess with that..

If it annoys you much and you're within the return window (I know Best Buy is 30 days) Id take it back. Also, I know the samsung codes to set your TV up properly but you have to be careful or you can ruin your TV. I set mine up the first time and caused it to not turn on so I had to return it (lucky me it was within 30 days). But setting your TV up using the codes is good because it fixes issues with the picture although probably not the blue tint..

Sara ODing was really obvious but still probably the most unsettling thing about last night. I didnt see them killing off the President..that came out of nowhere. Haywire stealing the girls bike was awesome too for some reason.

I think she made it pretty clear tonight that shes interested mainly because she was all but subtle about a few things which actually has me a bit worried.. but again she never mentioned anything about meeting and I didn't want to mention it again for the 3rd time with no response/acknowledgement that I even asked the first 2 times.

You know what I wanna see.. HHH accidently (or not) hits HBK with the sledgehammer. then they can say HHH knocked some sense into HBK to start the DX reformation ball rolling because HBK wouldn't do it even though the fans were clamouring for it.
