Good question, the movie selection is crucial. People always downplay the importance of this, horror movies are gold and emotional drama/tragic/epics are death for date movies. The options here on Tuesday Night after 9 are: MI3/Da Vinci Code/Poseidon/Over the Hedge and..GASP..See No Evil..everything else isn't playing that late. Im really hoping MI3 but I figure it'll be DVC. Im enough of a Dreamworks fan to want to see Over the Hedge but thats probably not gonna work. And theres no way in Hell, despite Horror movies being gold..that I will even acknowledge the presence of See No Evil. Im still going to Boondock Saints on Monday as well at 8pm..too.

Theres potential for a trainwreck but with it just being a movie I might be able to pull it off. Oh, and I still find it funny that Leena is on her Top 8 on Myspace..

I wouldn't exchange the TV. Any increase in detail/pic quality you get from being able to display 720p natively (720p signal on 720p set) is offset by the fact that the TV is 7 inches smaller, and then you have to deal with 1080i material getting downconverted to 720p which is a whole lot more programming than 720p..

My tv (TXP3071WHX) is the larger version of yours (non slimfit, its about 6 inches deeper than yours and heavier). Tube HDTVs produce better blacks/dark colors and they have a wider viewing angle, and they are cheaper. Native resolution is only important on LCD because they can only display the native resolution due to fixed pixels. So if for instance you have a 720p LCD then trying to view 1080i material on it would cause the TV to downconvert the signal to 720p causing image deterioration (not horrendous but noticable). Of course CRTs have to upconvert 720p to 1080i, but thats better than downconverting a signal..

It upconverts which means its gonna look nice but not really HD. Its nicer than mine although mine is also a recorder.

King of the Hill is ending after next year, it was supposed to end this year and they had a finale done up for it but FOX picked it up for one more year. King of Queens was another example..I dont think its coming back next season though.

Newer tv models have mulitple HDMI ports.. HD-DVD is definitely backwards compatible with DVD but I dont know about Blu Ray.

Im gonna watch a movie on HDNet called "One Last Thing" in an hour just because its in HD. It will probably depress the hell out of me (dying teenager makes his last wish to a make a wish type organization and its to spend a weekend with this hot model..) I will watch stuff in HD that I wouldnt even stop for in SD. I still have to watch some stuff in SD (Os games, wrestling, food network) but for the most part I dont watch much SD stuff anymore. I doubt the 360 has an upconverting DVD player which means it won't make DVDs look any better on an HDTV other than putting them in progressive scan. And heres the deal..DVD recorders can't record in HD. End of story, although..I have an upconverting DVD recorder and it can make the recording look close to the quality of HD via the upconversion, but its obviously not as good as the original, which is why if I want to keep something in HD, I leave it on my Tivo, although I only have 35 hours of HD recording space on the tivo. Directv has its free preview weekend of all the movie channels including the HD ones so Im gonna watch some stuff in HD..

I dont get how you all think that she was trying to get me to go with her to the car show.. So my only excuse has been sleep, which I need to work my 13 hour shift, so in my opinion its valid. There may be people who can stand on their feet for 13 hours on 2 hours sleep but Im not one of them.
