NuclearTBD Selects Kaz Matsui (and his healed up Anal Fissures) 2B This rounds out my starting offense. There were a couple better options at 2B left but I think Matsui will help with SBs which is what I need more than HRs or other stats. He should be good for 30 SB which will help keep me at least competitive with SBs so I dont have to completely punt that category.

Fox could get rid of Digger on their NASCAR coverage but Im not expecting any of you to have a clue what Im talking about. It was cute when the dumb thing would pop up whenever they went to their embedded track cam but now the stupid thing has its own cartoon in the prerace show and they're selling t-shirts and they even stuck some poor person in a Digger suit to walk around the track. Its even more annoying than the animated Baseball they used a while back.

I read the quote tags wrong. Im disagreeing with Crimson that they oppose it. I think there is a strong number of people who feel the same way that that woman does.

So off the Steve Martin Train for a minute, I finally got a chance to see Smokey and the Bandit 3. Ive heard how terrible it was but I never really bothered to try and catch it, and then low and behold it was on HDNET Movies this morning. I think I just saw quite possibly the worst 85 minutes of cinema ever. I was trying to wrap my head around why it was so awful, from the disjointed cuts and continuity errors (B.T. Justice has not one but TWO tires blow and he's like, fuck tires I dont need tires and two seconds later he's driving on 4 perfectly inflated tires again) and horrible dubbing (I dont think Gleason or Reed actually had 50% of their original dialog left and the word subbing was rediculous considering the ammount of nudity..you can show pussy but you cant say it?) not to mention the fact that the lack of Burt Reynolds for all but 90 seconds of that 85 makes you realize that they just threw this together to cash in on the S&B craze even when Burt really wanted nothing to do with it after the questionable sequel (which I always thought was ok but nothing compared to the first). THEN...I find out that the original plan was for Gleason to play Justice and the Bandit in a dual role and that got shit on by test audiences and they went back and reshot everything with Gleason as the Bandit and replaced it with Cledus. I also was able to use the HD to freeze frame at the points where it was noticable that the stunt driver for the Bandit was an old fat guy which I didnt notice the first time through. This makes everything make sense other than why the hell the movie was actually released, since at some point someone had to go "You know, this is a pile of shit" (which would have been an understatement). Also, I now desperately want to see the original test version (Smokey is the Bandit!) just to see if could have actually been worse than what they ended up with (Me thinks that the test audience probably were dumbasses but it does sound really stupid) Im also quite thankful that Smokey and the Bandit 4 (thousand) (basically Smokey and the Bandit in space/future) never saw the light of day (yet) though now Im waiting for the remake which I would think is all but inevitable...

All of that is negated by whoever it was getting American Idol so..whatever. My vote goes to whoever thought it was a bright idea to merge the WB and UPN and then break it apart again with MNTV and CW which both suck worse than WB and UPN ever did. shortly behind that is whoever at CBS decided they wanted to be the Crime Broadcasting System.
