Local news here has gone nutso about this. I really don't know why terrorists would want to keep people from the rest of Maryland away from the Eastern Shore, or vice versa.

But...how is it really interactive if its rigged like every other poll, contest, etc?

I just started working at healthsouth (rehab hospital, of course I work in the kitchen), and I was given 90+ hours for the first two weeks, and I better get overtime. 12 hour shifts are bad enough, and having to work 3 straight 12 hour shifts twice (once already this week and once next week) sucks ass as it is, but If I don't get the OT Im going to be pissed. I read a few articles and I think Im safe because I make less than $23,000 a year, but I don't plan to be making less than that for the rest of my life..

The only thing I have to offer, and its off topic sort of, is that it seems that everyone expects everyone else to have a cell phone. Whenever I give out my phone number I make sure to point out that its my home phone number and then they go "so what about your cell phone?" and I go " I don't have one" and they give me the "what year do you think it is?" look or something like that.

HA! I bought an "as is" Toshiba off Ebay for $15 shipped, after doing some quick research to find out that all that was wrong with it was two bad copacitors. The copacitors were at Radio Shack for $.99 each, and I got my stepfather who knows how to solder to take the defective ones out and replace them. Its a really nice DVD player for $17.

Bleh, I thought NBC was bringing back their show that was called Lost for a 3rd time, where they drop people off in the middle of nowhere (with no idea where they are) and have them race back to a predetermined spot. Sorta like Amazing Race, but it actually had a better premise.

I didnt like the Lime one from Taco Bell. Chances aren't good I'll like this either.

The 64DD's miserable failure is exactly why Nintendo isn't too keen on online gaming. They got burned once, and they don't want to get burned again.

Im glad they still have Insomniac Music Theatre on when I get up at 4am now. It used to put me to sleep, now it gets me awake..

LOL, I dont know what it is about that site that makes it so easy to forget the passwords.. Im glad I didnt sign up for that league because I just started working more hours (and 12 hour shifts, ugh) and Friday is my 2nd 12 hour shift day and I wont even be home before 7.

I overan the tape when I was taping something else and caught the first part of the news on the tape..

I haven't checked up on this lately but I see the new season is just around the bend..

I don't know what this "outside" thing is, but it sounds scary. You should stay in the house and post on TSM all day.

Is DirecTV the only satellite provider that has the NFL Network? I know Dish doesn't have it... (and that's my provider) Voom, the HD satellite service with not many subscribers has it, as do some Cable companies, but Directv was the first to have it. If the NASCAR race is rained out Sunday, and providing I dont lose my satellite signal, I plan to sit and watch all of the games on Sunday.

It affects everyone. You will get the channels via a cable/sat converter but it will DOWNCONVERTED to display on your analog set. To properly view television when it happens you WILL need a HDTV. Directv's signal (which is digital) is already downconverted in the reciever for analog tvs as it is, so I don't think it would change anything.

Toys R Us is running a 50% off sale on some of their games, making them $10-20. Not as great as the CC deal, but I see SC2 and SSX3 for $10 for the Gamecube which would be a good deal. Fan Fiction should be banned. All of it. Fan Fiction was ruined for me when I accidentally stumbled upon some Golden Girls fan fiction. My eyeballs nearly burned right out of their sockets.
