Real long time = 1 month

yeah lets just totally ignore the fact that the "woman" in the red wig was a man...

The fact that McDonalds says their nutrition info is easy to come by is hillarious. Here, they are plastered on the wall in front of the bathrooms, in the back. Now, even if you wanted to read the stuff, you have to battle the stench of the bathrooms to stand there and read it. And how many people actually go into a McDonalds anymore?

This following is classified as a rumor, but there was talk going around that Alexis Laree may be brought up to the Raw roster soon under the name "Tina." I haven't heard anything concrete to confirm it, but there has been talk about it over the last few days, so it's a possibility. Theres your RAW Diva Search winner. Now if they'd only cancel the 2 1/2 months of crap to get to that point and declare her the winner, everything would be fine.

The Orioles are a couple outs away from going 0 for the week which has been pretty ugly. I think I'd just to have one of those neuralizer things from MIB and forget this week ever happened. As I say this, they have something going with 2 on, but 2 out in the 6th..

Flair wrestled a somewhat meaningful match in SC (vs Benoit) instead of just being thrown ont he show to face The Hurricane or something for the sake of having him on the show. Id call that doing the right thing in the situation.
-
Ehh, while thats not the worst show to be had, didn't sound like it was that bad. Im kinda hoping for Benoit/Kane and Shelton Benjamin to make it on the card here next week. I don't quite get why Shelton wouldn't wrestle in Charleston. Some people around here think HHH is going to show up and wrestle because he's doing the show at MSG either friday or saturday but I think they are just plain stupid. MSG House Show 100x>Middle of Nowhere MD House show that probably will barely sell 2,500 tickets. As for comparison, this is the house show (smackdown) I went to 2 years ago this July: Reflecting on that for a second, it just dawned on me that Batista, Orton, Dinsmore, Rob Conway and Rey Mysterio (who hadn't debuted on TV yet) were on the card, and except for Mysterio, they are all back 2 years later now on RAW in big roles. But for the most part the show sucked except for Edge/Jericho which was actually decent. At least this go round theres probably going to be a Heavyweight Title match (Taker was the champion back at that time and floated on both shows) And if you've been here long enough, you'll remember that that was the show where some lardass sat on my camera and broke it, and told me he was sorry but it wasn't his fault because he sat in the wrong seat (the seat next to me was empty and I had put my camera down on the seat durring the intermission and the fat guy had just come back from the concession stand with two arm fulls of food.. and sat down in the wrong seat..)

Not really so. In a worst case scenario of doom, companies would be forced to quit manufacturing and selling things like CD and DVD burners in the U.S. Existing burners would be taken off store shelves and owning one would probably become illegal. Of course this would create a black market for CD/DVD burners and people will be going to Canada for them and the like. With gun control laws, they are still making guns and in most respects its still legal to have some sort of gun, its just harder to get and more restricted in how you keep it. And don't forget, this whole bill is veiled pretty good as being a bill to protect kids from online pornography and protect copyrights by shutting down the P2P services, but the language of the bill is far too broad and could eventually be used to do things like ban CD/DVD burners.
-
It wouldn't be hard to ban VCRs since that Betamax lawsuit in the Supreme Court left it open for the government to create a bill that would do just that in the future if the need for such bill was deemed necessary. I think that Congress might have more of a concern for copyright infringment and the like now than they did 20 years ago, so its at least in the realm of a possibility although like I said, theres really no way this bill passes unless the RIAA and MPAA have paid off a lot of people or something.. Of course concerning banning VCRs, I doubt they'll worry with VCRs..it will probably be DVD +/- R/RW drives that get the most focus. Which would be just great since I just bought one...

Pretend the third, fourth, fifth and sixth ones never happened (H20 was number 7, right?) -- you'll stay saner that way... 3 - I liked it and I don't get why everyone hates it. Would probably be liked a lot more if it weren't tacked on to the Halloween Series. 4&5 - neither was totally horrible which is all you can ask for (in this case) a 2nd and 3rd sequel. 6 - totally stupid if you see the theatrical version, a bit more comprehensible but still mostly stupid if you see the extended version. But from an H20 standpoint, I think you are supposed to ignore the fact that 4-6 even exist. H20 was the last of the series that I've seen..

Random movie patron seeing the poster : "Uh, is this movie gonna be backwards like that other movie he did..uh..what was it..uh..Momentus..uh.." Random movie patron #2: "Dude, I already saw Batman like 15 years ago."

damn, I got the name of the bill wrong in the title Heres the article (exerpt..) The fact that people who make products that have both infringing and non-infringing uses are liable for the infringing uses is pretty scary. Think of how many pieces of technology have "Dual uses": video recording and playback devices, such as VCRs, DVD players/recorders, video tape and optical disks, and even video-enabled cell phones - Audio recording devices - answering machines, tape recorders, personal memo recorders including those in cellphones and provider-based systems - computer Hard Drives and static memory devices - digital cameras, and associated memory storage devices - online and offsite storage/retrieval systems and facilities - pc printers, scanners and copiers - copy machines, networked printers and fax machines - wired and wireless LANs, WANs and PVNs - internet providers, email client software and online email and messaging services, including IM, IRC, FTP and chat systems Honestly there's no way in hell this bill will be passed, but it would probably be a good idea to call your representatives in Congress and voice concern over the bill even before its introduced. If enough people complain, it might not even get introduced next week.

Im guessing thats roughly what the card will be for the house show Im going to next Sunday. Yippee. Probably will get Kane vs Benoit though.

Correction. He showed up looking like Sidney Ponson and pitching like Sidney Ponson. I still have no idea why people got all excited when he was signed again with the O's. 2003 season aside, it was still Sidney effing Ponson. True that he really has never been anything special but hes also been at least fairly respectable and people were at least hoping that he would be able to come close to last year, but its not even close. As far as the weight is concerned, I feel thats probably his #1 problem but at this point simply losing the extra weight (which wont happen overnight) won't fix his problems. HOPEFULY they'll put him on some sort of training/diet in the offseason and get him to lose some of that weight and he'll at least be back to normal instead of this horrible season.

The plain and simple fact is that the majority of the "old fans" they want back were in their teens back in 1998 when wrestling was "cool" (1997-2000) and they grew up and became adults and it became uncool mainly because it sucked (2001-2003). People still watching wrestling now in their 20s and 30's grew up on the stuff and will probably continue to watch wrestling because it is a part of their lives instead of being some sort of entertainment fad. The same thing is sort of true with Video games. When Video Games first became popular they were considered a kids thing. But the odd thing is that the kids became teenagers and the teenagers became adults but they didn't abandon playing video games. Sort of like the people who grew up watching wrestling and still watch it today. Thats at least my opinion. I could be wrong, but I know that it pretty much applies to me (I've been watching wrestling and playing video games for about the same length of time and I still do both going on into my 20's..)

Want some statistical proof as to how bad Sidney Ponson has been pitching this year? 120 hits in 87.1 IP 64 ER 6.60 ERA 3-9 It was brought to my attention on an O's forum that Ponson is on pace to allow 314 hits in 228 IP. They also posted this list of the pitchers in the last 50 years that allowed the most hits in 200 + Innings (all time records go back to the 1890's and are in the high 300's): HITS YEAR H IP 1 Tommy John 1983 287 234.2 2 Jim Barr 1977 286 234.1 3 Rick Mahler 1986 283 237.2 4 Rick Mahler 1988 279 249 5 Billy Hoeft 1956 276 248 6 Geoff Zahn 1980 273 232.2 7 Mike Torrez 1978 272 250 T8 Tanyon Sturtze 2002 271 224 T8 Bob Friend 1961 271 236 T10 Ray Burris 1977 270 221 Granted, I seriously doubt Ponson will be allowed to remain a starter if he stays on that pace (and on pace for 21 losses) but just the thought of a pitcher being on pace for 300+ hits in 220 IP drives me nuts. Not all of this can be brought on Ponson, as a lot of times the defense that was supposedly going to be great has just sputtered, allowing for extra at bats and usually the Orioles Pitchers seem to get burned by that (a lot). But the main problem for the Orioles Starters other than Ponson hasn't been the # of hits allowed, its been the # of walks allowed, which is more of a sign of their lack of experience than anything. In the offseason when I heard that they resigned him I was happy although in retrospect I should have been tossing stuff at the TV when he had the press conference. 3 Years 22 million..not the worst contract that the Orioles ever agreed to, but the fact that he is now 3-9 and lost 6 straight starts, it stinks. This was the guy that was expected to at least be the veteran (as much of a veteran as he is) leadership for the rest of the pitchers and the team as well. But instead he shows up god knows how many pounds overweight and pitches like crap. In the situation the Orioles are in (last place now that the Devil Rays are suddenly red-hot) and it looking like they'll have another crappy year, they might as well put him in the bullpen and bring up someone and let them have a go at it instead of continually letting Ponson pitch like the hitters are hitting off a tee.

The sound you hear is the sound of all the "lifetime" Lakers fans getting off the bandwagon again. This is not to insult the actual Lifetime Lakers fans, but the ones who suddenly popped up a couple years ago and call radio shows every day/night saying how they've been a Laker fan all their life and how great the Lakers are. Who will the Sacramento Kings fans call in on radio shows to insult now? The Clippers have a better shot of making the Playoffs than the Lakers do if they lose Shaq and Kobe, even if they get McGrady. I'll also make the promise that if Kobe and Shaq do leave, they will go to an Eastern Conference team.

If tonight is the last time that it will air at 4am and the new midnight timeslot doesn't start until July then I guess that means no Impact next week.. I also love the phrase "most weeks on Saturday at midnight" because that implies that it will be more of the same its on this week but not next week.

If you could have a drink with 3 people

Id love to have a glass of milk and cookies with Andy Kaufman. -
Coke C2 gets the official MarvinisaLunatic's thumbs squarely in the middle. Its sweeter than diet coke, but not as sweet as regular coke which is actually a fair compromise. The main flaw is it has sort of a flat taste that was really prominent the first time I took a sip of it but it faded away and I didn't really notice it that much towards the end. I could probably drink C2 instead of having a regular coke but Im probably going to stick to Diet Coke (with lime..). I saw Pepsi Edge but I didn't have enough change to get both out of the machines or I probably would have.

Small Country Considering Banning WWE Shows

We should all be speaking some Native American language since the Native Americans were here first. Some comic used that on LCS

Well thats quite interesting. A) The "movie" did nothing at the box office B) It's been over a month since the "movie" was "released" and the most many people have seen of it is the 2 minute clips on TV news shows and the like C) Its a weak comeback anyway considering their advertising budget for this one commercial is probably 10x the budget for the guys "movie". D) In a round-about-way it says that their food isn't good for you and they know its not good for you if they could have told you what would happen if you did that. I would have had Ronald McDonald standing up in front of a chalkboard in a classroom full of kids. The chalkboard would read: "3 meals a day @ McDonalds x 30 days = FAT IDIOT" With Ronald smiling and handing out Happy Meals to all the kids in the room as he sings some sort of catchy tune with them. Oh, and up until a while ago when some Vegans through a hissy fit over it, McDonalds would use the good taste of Beef Fat to "season" their french fries. Read the article about it from 2001..
