Week 10 results for kkk/braves contests...
MarvinisaLunatic replied to kkktookmybabyaway's topic in Sports
I split the first to differing picks, now I need Dallas to win. And I only got 3 right, which seriously sucks. -
The Ravens need to deliver the knockout blow to the AFC North tonight and win. AFC North right now: Ravens 5-3 Bengals! 4-5 Steelers 3-6 Browns 3-6

Titans - Calico TD

NFL Network's Red Zone It has rotating stats for all the games (Passing/Recieving/Rushing) and Sporting News Radio in the background...
-
ESPN asked who the Rookie of the year would be and Irvin and Jackson said Kyle Boller. Im a die hard Ravens fan and all, but no way is he even in the running for Rookie of the year. Oh, and as far as NASCAR and all, most Sundays I tape the race to watch football but without any compelling game early today, NASCAR is my 3rd favorite sport behind Football and Baseball (whether anyone else thinks of it as a sport or not is irrelevant and a dead issue..the horse is dead..) so I'll watch the race.
-
I cant imagine Dallas trading for Jamison just to trade him again. I haven't heard or seen anything actually confirming the trade outside of Fox Sports Radio earlier in the morning so I dont know whether the trade is for real or not.
-
Im probably going to watch the NASCAR Race and check NFL Networks RED ZONE Update thing for updates during the commercials.
-
I wouldnt count on it given the crapiness that is the rest of the AFC North.
-
I really dont care about any of the early games.. Its all about the Ravens vs Rams later on tonight!

Matt Young and The Bad Guy after completing DKC
MarvinisaLunatic replied to Matt Young's topic in No Holds Barred
I remember I got DKC for Christmas as well that year, and I holed up in my room play it and caused some sort of huge family argument that still somewhat rages to this day. I dont have any pictures of it though.. -

Week 10 results for kkk/braves contests...
MarvinisaLunatic replied to kkktookmybabyaway's topic in Sports
The only thing standing in my way of 2-7 are the Bengals, Cardinals and Cowboys. To answer the question, yes, at least 1 team will be going 2-7.. -
Your local ballparks, arenas and football fields
MarvinisaLunatic replied to King Kamala's topic in Sports
I can agree with the first two, but I've never been to the Arena. I heard they were talking about building a new arena if Baltimore could get an Expansion NBA Team, but thats not gonna happen now. -
At least NBA TV carries games on Saturday/Sunday I think. NFL Network will never be able to air a full game (recent or classic) due to various reasons. Right now NFL Network is free on Directv Channel 212. Im willing to bet that it will be available only with NFL Sunday Ticket next year though.

Best. Restaurant. EVER!, Worst. Restaurant. EVER!
MarvinisaLunatic replied to Elbarto997's topic in General Chat
1 - Boston Market is owned by McDonalds. 2 - Churches Chicken and Popeyes are owned by the same company. 3 - Taco Bell/KFC/Pizza Hut are owned by the same company too. You might actually know this if you live in an area that has all 3 in one place (ie you could order chicken, pizza and tacos in 1 order). As for Hardees/Carls Jr, the only reason Hardees has Roast Beef is because they bought out Roy Rogers a few years back. I personally wouldn't buy their roast beef though. And speaking of Hardee's, their thickburgers are horrible. The first and only 1 I ever ordered was half raw in the center. Common burger knowledge : More burgers > Heavier patties. The heavier patties take longer to cook and will more often than not be under cooked. Places I like: Boston Market (I eat there whenever Im in Annapolis) Fuddruckers (Best non fast food burger) Arby's (Best Fries and Roast Beef) Chick-fil-A (Best chicken) Olive Garden (Good Italian food) IHOP (Best place for breakfast here) Subway (Best place for Subs) Taco Bell (Only local fast food taco place) Pizza Hut or Little Ceasars Waffle House (I spent 2 years in SC..I love Waffles) Cracker Barrel (I like the atmosphere and the food is good) Places I hate: Wendy's (WORST FRIES EVER!) McDonalds (Bleh) KFC (I don't like their chicken) Applebees (bleh again) Golden Corral (I hate buffets..) Denny's (over priced) Bob Evans (their dinner stinks, breakfast is ok..) Red Lobster (mainly cause Im allergic to shellfish) Domino's or Papa Johns' Places I've never been - Outback Steakhouse (they are building one in town) Chili's (opens next week) TGI Friday's (Theres one in Dover, DE but thats too far to go to) In n Out Burger (only out in California..damnit) -
Ok, I've held off posting about this, but I haven't seen anyone else mention it so I'll go ahead and do it. 1. The selling point of the channel programing wise is NFL Total Access hosted by Rich Eisen. I think its the one of the few non-NFL Films show on the channel. Its not that bad of a show, they do a lot of cool stuff with the players during the week and they have the required fantasy talk and they go over news and stuff like that. But Rich Eisen just doesn't seem to be fitted for hosting the show. 2. LOTS OF NFL FILMS SHOWS. I think they might put ESPN 2 out of business if they got the rights to all of them. Obviously there are a ton of them, but a sample of the schedule this weekend shows that they are only replaying a few of them over and over and over: Dan Marino: Heart of a Champion, 99 Titans Yearbook, 02 Raiders Yearbook, Super Bowl 27/28 (Cowboys/Bills), Football America (some sort of Documentary on Football) and 9 back to back replays of Sounds of the Game (going into Monday morning). 3. On Sunday they have a College Football wrap up show. College Football...NFL Network...hmm. It runs all morning instead of some sort of Sunday Morning NFL show. I guess we don't want to compete with ESPN/FOX/CBS's NFL shows. 4. On Sundays durring the game it says they have a show called RED ZONE - Coverage of NFL Games with Scores, Statistics and Game Updates. This could be a good thing depending on how its done, but I can't see them running constant updates of all the games and taking away from the networks and Sunday Ticket (seeing as how NFL network is probably available only on Directv right now...) 5. I think they replaced most of the commercials with either - 1)NFL Total Access spots 2) NFL.com ads 3) United Way Ads with they players. I can't imagine what the network will be like from February to August. I guess they can have draft coverage shows and Team training camp shows, but other than that, their main show (NFL Total Access) will be rendered useless for the most part. More NFL Films shows! Oh, and maybe NFL Europe coverage too, oh joy!...

I heard that Fox moved the 2nd episode of Joe Millionaire from Tuesday to Monday, and on Tuesday The Simpsons and That 70's Show reruns will air before 24.
-
Im already tired of the old switcheroo move. That really should only work for masked wrestlers.
-
I did some math, Im still up 6-2. Derek Anderson finally went on the IL, so I was able to pick up Jason Collins who might be a permanent replacement for Lorenzen Wright as my backup C. Im obviously lackluster at that position since the only 2 stat categories Im losing in are Rebounds (-5) and Blocks (-9). Wright could be on the block if someone wants him.

Anyone know anything about this rumored trade. Portland Gets A. Jamison M. Finley Dallas Gets: R. Wallace B. Wells Honestly that trade makes no sense.

Mario Kart DD Mario Party 5 Mario Golf Mario Tennis Not strictly Mario games but it still shows that Nintendo isn't dropping Mario anytime soon. They are just saving the new Mario game to launch with the new Console. They learned that launching the Gamecube with no real "Mario" game was probably a mistake..

Baron Davis rules! Im reminded of the commercial for the then Charlotte Hornets, where Ric Flair tells Baron to go WHOOOOOOOOOOO! when he dunks even though hes not tall enough to dunk. Old story about it Anyway, at 6-2, its close and it could swing just about any way over the last days of Week 2.
-
Hmm. Nice of Flik to think so highly of Marvin Jenkins..
-
Hmm. Good news that we hired a manager and got that out of the way early.
-
Baron Davis (yay for my Fantasy team) took Kobe to school and the Hornets beat the Lakers. More impressive is the Wizards beating the Raptors 86-60. With the win the Wizards are in FIRST PLACE in the Atlantic Division...
