  1. The way I look at it is this way - Angle for Orton, fair trade, both are viable main eventers TBS for Hassan, fair trade, both stink it up IMO Christian for Carlito, fair trade - both have potential but are just kind of there right now RVD for Benoit, seems fair to me also Those trades didnt amount to shit on either side and were more a joke than anything since many got released, on both sides. The only people who have benefitted (or at least got airtime) since then is Chavo, Dupree, and Simon Dean. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I twill look fair if you just stay pairing them off any old how. I look it at differently, on the basis of the image they portray: Cena for Batista - fair trade Angle for Benoit - fair trade RVD for Orton - fair trade TBS for Hassan - 1-0 for SD, TBS has been crap for quite a while now. CCC for Christian - 2-0 for SD, ooo, another talk show host in exchange for a wrestler. Jindrak, Kenzo and Hiroko have since been canned. What air time has Dupree got? Id rather have no air time than be doing what Chavo currently is. Danny has done the square root of nothing. Regal stands out as a way better wrestler from all the people traded. Have you seen his match with Benoit before you post? Simon Dean and Stevie Richards are doing the bWo thing (its always there to be broken out). Candice > Hiroko. I forgot who else was traded to SD. It doesnt look at all fair to me. Plus, SD recently got the Mexicools. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I still think you are comparing apples to oranges when you are looking at the trades/picks. Carlito and Christian are virtually the same deal, they get over on the mic, but creative havent rushed a super push to each, even though we're supposed to be taking each seriously I guess. By most, Carlito against Christian is a fair trade. Hassan is better than the Big Show how? Or vice versa? They both fucking stink up any match they are in, IMO. I think you'll see Hassan is going to flounder on Smackdown (especially as a main event heel they envision) big time. And for that matter, so will Big Show on Raw. Regal and Dean have been on Velocity once. BWO was on once. Chavo has been on Raw a few times and Dupree had a Raw match last week. NONE of those guys that came through via the trade are getting over really, with the exception of Regal if they follow through with him (and yes I saw that match with Benoit, but what does that have to do with anything?), which they probably wont. Sans with the BWO - that very well might have been a one shot deal since Simon Dean is now back to that character. I'm surprised they didnt follow up with them last Smackdown. Ultimately if Benjamin moved to Smackdown, it wouldnt have mattered in the big scheme of one brand better than another. It appears Raw is always given the preferential treatment with the big angles and storylines on there - EX: Michaels/Hogan, Edge/Hardy, etc, etc. Generally speaking I think the main event to upper midcard is much better on Raw than Smackdown, lower card stuff like CW division and tag stuff is probably generally better on Smackdown than the lower card stuff Raw has, such as Masters' bit, etc. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> And your comparing an apple to a car. CCC and Christain both get over in the ring, but Christain is a better wrestler than CCC. Hell, does CCC know how to really wrestle properly? I think its a bit foolish to compare Christains ring work (which could be better) to CCCs (which is flushable). And we can only talk about what they have done in a WWE ring, the rest is out of the window since it isnt going to change much what happens in the WWE. Id rather have somebody who hasnt sucked several times over in the form of Hassan, than somebody who has a tried and tested history of blowing (i.e. TBS), which shows since 'Creative' has jack shit for him apart from play his size and weight thing. Ohhhh, when was the last time he did that? It doesnt matter how many times Regal, Dean, the bWo (maybe cause they would have overdone it since the focus is on Batista and JBL?), your mamas pet chiwawa, Angle-plex's hat, Mr Choco's left nut et al has been on TV, they are still with a particular brand and have the potential to be used. They have the potential of running Benoit-Regal and Dr Jackel and Mr Hyde in the form of Hollywood Nova and Simon Dean. Kerwin White and Dupree are blah blah blah crap. Jindrak, Kenzo and Hiroko were canned fo crying out loud. What can you do with a wrestler who has been fired? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Apples to car? Huh? First off, I'm not sure if I'm right or not, but I think we are comparing the sides from two different perspectives. You're talking about future potential where I am talking about what will seemingly be the likelihood of how little or much someone will be used in the brand specific. Bottom line is this - Christian and Carlito, to me, have the same level of potential, which I'm sure you disagree with, but I think long term both could be upper level to main event stars. I never really compared their ring work at all but now I will - Christian is still not knocking anything out of the ball park work wise, and neither is Carlito. If anything both are going to get over with their mic work and in due time, and with the right booking, I think they will get over around the same, dare I say Carlito even more because I think the company is much higher on him and he doesnt have that past going against him that Christian has. In fact WWE had a chance to do something decent with him (Christian) just recently but started jobbing him out on Raw and then he goes to Smackdown and in his first match gets a shitty treatment by having him job out like a chump to JBL in that elimination match. I dont see when Hassan HASNT sucked - he's never had a memorable match, even fucked up against Benoit, and generally just has dropped the ball on a long term plan they had to really build him up. I think of him as a pet project of nothing more than cheap heat from his racial shit, and nothing more, akin to a Suzuki. Fuck, they were going to give him Austin one on one, and instead tried the Hogan route, that didnt draw, so then they gave up on the Austin idea. The guy can't work a solid match, cuts nice cheap promos that arent sustaiable heat (I might be eating crow on this point in a few months) and generally is just not over. Show at least gets some notable pops and is a semi-household name to some fans. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> No, Im talking about the product based on what Im seeing at the moment. Your talking about the likelihood of use. Shelton was the MVP of the 'draft' last year, despite his being on the entertainment brand. To me, RAW have just done a copy & paste job of last week's show and changed minor things for this week. And it still sucked. SD can go a number of places. The ME scene is more entertaining, what with Batista, JBL, Hassan, UT, Benoit, Orton, etc... RAW looks spread very thin right now. CCC has shown me nothing that implies he can go in a WWE ring. I dont know about you, but I see Christain as being in a better position right now. Hassan's loss on RAW has pratically been forgotten, so that hasnt tainted him in any way. TBS is BORING. Why 'draft' both Shelton and Benoit to SD to fued when they could have just both stayed where they were and fueded on RAW?
  2. Thank you . . . . . . and thank you.
  3. No, I cant. Not until I see Bret kick Vince's ass all over [insert state name here] in a WM match.
  4. I know SS has been running longer, but the Rumble is booked as being bigger IMHO by the WWE. SurSer has always been my favourite PPV. I loved the concept of the KotR Tourney until they shat on it. It was a good way to put people over. Austin, Angle anyone? Memo to WWE: DONT USE STIPS IF YOU DONT KNOW HOW TO USE THEM. My sister's pet monkey could use them better. What justifies Orton-UT being a casket match? Why is CCC-Benjamin a Streetfight? These are just very bad decisions. If they really cant put the latter fued of its misery cant they make it a ladder match? Id prefer a title match where it changes hands with a DQ or CO personally. 2nd Memor to WWE: Stop giving us shitty rematch 437018. Im fed-up of CCC-Benjamin, Edge-Kane, Eddie-Rey (Which is dropping fast), TBS-Angle et al. People want to see Hardy-Edge at SS cause everybody knows that the WWE will drop the ball. If anything, Edge wont want to be in the ring when Matt is. @Bacon: Matt has no beef with Snistky. @Deon: Dont you pass the torch to somebody who is younger and has more fuel in the tank than Michaels? Why does everybody here think that so and so match should be a street fight? What? Batista-HHH was meant to be a ladder match? Im not missing his long boring promos, thats for sure.
  5. Victorias been cut? When?
  6. Yes, they are. Since before ONS.
  7. Bloody hell, what a dipstick. What is he waiting for?
  8. Why did he work loose? I dont see how he cant work in the ME with people like Raven, Brown and Rhino. The guy worked with Punk, Homicide and Aries in RoH. Surely, if hes stiff, he would be bettter suited working with people who are a bit more heavier in terms of the division size. I know the X Div is not about weight, but its about no limits, and so I can see why they want Joe in the X Div to support that. I just personally that he could and should be in the Heavyweight Division and they could have somebody else doing what Joe is now in the X Div.
  9. Pretty much how Id book it, except Id have Brown go over JJ at Unbreakable, since JJ still cling on to the ME if he beats Brown. But that being said, fuck TNA. They booked a good show in the form of No Surrender, with a closing that pissed some people off but they saw that it could work out. They made a good call by not orally servicing Vince. And they go and piss over everthing. Im so mad right now.
  10. - I wasn't so sure when I heard that the M-E was going to be a tag match but it doesn't actually sound that bad. Raven, Sabu and Rhino can do the work and JJ will get the pin. However I don't like the fact the NWA title isn't going to be defended (I presume); nor the Tag Titles; nor, it seems, the X Division title. Sacrifice doesn't look very good so far: Raven & Sabu vs Jarrett & Rhino Styles vs Joe - Super X final AMW & The Naturals vs Team Canada Abyss vs Hoyt ??? Killings & Konnan vs Kipp James & Monty Brown ??? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> O boy, this is pretty bad. 1 step forward in a good PPV and a few right decisions and then 2 steps backwards. Why the hell is Brown still doing the crap that he is doing? Sabu, Sabu? Tell Sabu to fuck Sabu. Couldnt he have just signed for the WWE. What is this crap with Michael Shane? I thought he uses that name cause hes related to Shawn Michaels. Why do TNA wrestlers have to drop their 1st name after a while? Why are AMW doing attaking Michael Shane (I dont give a fuck what stupid name he has, Im still calling him Michael Shane)? Arent they 'faces' and didnt they go over Shane and Shelly at No Surrender? When are they going to turn? In this 8 man? The NWA World Title isnt being defended, they should have the Tag Titles and X Div Championship on the line. Speaking about the X Div. Why is Joe going up against Daniels? Isnt this a bit too early for such a match?
  11. Yep, I know. Why they dont try and get Tiger Mask IV (NJPW), Kaz Hayashi (AJPW)or Wataru Sakata (Zero-One) in is beyond me. Them, plus Jushin Thunder Liger (NOAH), would have been my Team Japan for the World X Cup. Ultimo Dragon or TAKA Michinoku could have been the Manager of the side, or even NWA legend Antonio Inoko. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I think theres a chance they might get Tiger Mask since they are trying to get a working relationship with NJPW. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> That would be o so great. But even if they dont, Daniels play it up saying that he has to wait another month before he gets a serious challange and thus is taking the night (Sacrifice) off. I think they should open the show with the semis (after having 1 quarter-final a week on iMPACT) and close it with the final. Or, the quaters in the 1st 2 weeks and then like 2 tag team matches in the next 2 weeks, but the wrestlers dont team with they are facing in the semis.
  12. First of all, shouldnt this be in the WWE folder? Secondly, the one more match and coward excuses really sucked when we all know that HBK is jealous and wants to see where he ranks with the Hulkster (which is pretty sad, cause Hogan is way past his prime).

  14. Depends on how much merchandise he sold... I was thinking, TNA should have a Bret Hart/Hebner match. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Id pay for that. Chiodas mine. He looks like he could maybe perhaps enforce the rules.
  16. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Wel, if they make it, good for them. I am not optimistic, but if they can do it, I wish 'em well. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Are you OK Mike?
  17. No hes not. He can miss it. Again, what makes this the 2nd biggest show of the year?!?!?!?!?!? Weve had Angle-TBS loads of times, like for a year on-off when Brock was still on SD. Did anybody see Benoit-Regal? Is pretty clear the way its got to go. Put JBL in a Triple Threat for the WHC, I dont care. Have Booker and Christian on Heat.
  18. I dont think Hassan will win given whats happened lately, nor will I put it past the WWE to make Jericho win to look weaker than he already is down the line. How can HBK fued with Batista? They are on different shows? My sentiments exactly regarding UT-Orton. The Casket Match stip has never really be good lately and who is going to pop out of the casket? I knew they would go that Tag route with Edge and Matt, which is very dumb IMHO. CCC-Shelton should be over by then. We want Benoit-Regal dammit. TBS-Angle, TBS-Angle, TBS-Angle!!!!!! Is that the best they come up with? How many times have we seen this already? And people here say that pulling Angle-Shelton at SS is dumb. There are no Tag Team matches for the simple reason that there is no tag team division on either show. The Draft and subsequent trade squashed them. And what makes SummerSlam the 2nd biggest PPV of the year? I hope your referring to it time wise after WM and not in terms of size. SS comes after WM, RR, KotR (when it was running) and SurSer IMHO. Other than this match, I'm completely satisfied with this card. Edge/Hardy should obviously be a one on one encounter, as I don't know if it will have the steam to last until SurSer, which is what I'm assuming they're shooting for. I guess they just painted themselves into a corner by not wanting to have two street fight / "non-sanctioned" matches on the card. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Very simple answer, scrap the CCC-Benjamin match by blowing it on RAW earlier and getting it out of the way, and doing Angle-Shelton. CCC doesnt have to be on the card.
  19. 20. Ahhh, so its not going to be a weekly thing but more of a supershow.
  21. Yeah I think Daniels could have a long run with that belt much like RVD with the ECW TV title. I'd even go beyond Bound for Glory - Joe doesnt have to get the X division title. In due time it will turn him into an over babyface, or maybe already kind of has. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Both of them could turn into faces on the basis of this. When Daniels ultimately loses the belt, I agree it should be to Joe. And Daniels should go straight into the hunt for NWA WHC. No build-up necessary. The same should also apply to Joe when he loses the X Div title. This is the way your secondary title should be used. This is why Im going for an outside shot and Shelly will win the tourney for the simple reason that Daniels has beaten AJ, Sabin, Shane, Shocker and Petey. Id leave Joe for now and that only leave Dutt (apart from Shelly). Who will Daniels face at No Surrender? Shark Boy? Id have the semis and the final on the No Surrender card. That 3 matches. No need for Daniels to work the show. He can be given the night off and do commentary for the 3 matches.
  22. Your not going to see JJ out of the company unless he himself leaves. Rhino could interefere in the Brown-JJ match at Unbreakable, costing JJ the win. This could be the start of Brown-Rhino. The only way JJ will leave the ME scene for a good amount of time is if he jobs very clean to Raven. He will have no right to a title shot. There should be no interference, no brawling, JJ just loses to Raven in the ring. JJ still technically has a claim to the title, since hes never got a rematch, which people here seem to forget. Im totally against having Raven job the title, and most certainly not Rhino of all people. Brown doesnt deserve a title shot at the moment. Raven will give Rhino a title shot, cause more importantly Raven wants a shot at Rhino after No Surrender. Rhinos just come in and Raven is being built back up again. Having him job out the title within 4 months will cut the legs out of him for good and hes one of the better wrestlers TNA has at the moment. Brown is very damaged, hence the need for him to be built up. Id book it like this: Sacrifice: Raven/Brown-JJ/Rhino --> I would say JJ/Rhino beating Raven/Brown barely, with Rhino getting the pin over Raven. Brown-JJ --> Brown squashes JJ (who would have negogiated his automatic rematch by now). Raven-Rhino --> Rhino takes Raven to the limit again, but loses this time. Brown-Rhino --> Everything and the kitchen sink in this brawl. Brown just gets the win. Raven-JJ --> A very squeaky clean match starting, always being and ending in the ring. Raven wins.
  23. Where do you get all these rumours from? I can understand the UFC crossover cause it has been mentioned in the past but the WWE bringing the SNME? Will this be like a Legends rerun show or something? JJ to VKM, Vince, I am your father.
  24. Not hated in that sense. I used the words hated and loved as to kind of stress the fact that that was the role the wrestler normally played. Supposed baddest and goodest, no thats not right, the latter sounds ghey and the former sounds like which heel sucked the most. Does anybody get what Im trying to say though? They played heels and faces really well which got 'hate' or 'love' and they didnt do really well when they turned. Something like that is what im trying to stir into a discussion.
  25. Yeah but we are getting relatively close to where admitting some things are "real" and other things "arent" confuse the casual viewer. All I'm asking is to play to some storylines as well as continuing to work this "shoot" - I dont think it's alot to ask, plus it would give Kane some purpose being involved in all of this mess still. Plus how many weeks are you just going to have Hardy jump Edge? It's going to get old fast unless they figure out some side plans to build to the assumed SummerSlam match. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I dont think they are going to expose the business and confuse casual viewers by doing so. They will just do what they always do, drop it till people forget about it. I would prefer a drawn out Matt-Edge fued (I always prefer drawn out fueds, I really like what TNA are doing with Raven-Jarrett at the moment), but I dont blame for trying to get it over with quickly, since they dont know how long the interest will last. SS is just 4 weeks away. Another attack next week, then Edge demands a match. Matt accepts with 2 weeks to go. Its not that far off RedJed.
