Thats what people are saying, build him up with fueds vs Angle and HHH. I thought HHH was off all WWE shows, TV or not. Yes, so are mine. But you can strip the shows so one is entertainment and the other is sports, cause both would be hit by that. I think he can work with Angle, HHH, RVD, HBK and Cena so hes not too bad. Look at the lumberjacks, dont they normally have like 20 of them round the ring? There was 12 heels and then 7 faces came on down. That was like close to the entire locker room. Was there any really decent talent given the current state of booking. I dont see how you can compare TBS and CCC to Orton and Christain. Its pretty obvious whose better. The 3 other trades where pretty even. Look at the trade though. People traded to RAW were cut or given a real shitty gimmick.

Christians been in the WWE for quite a while. Before WMX17. Thats 5 years at least. How old did you think he was when he joined? 16, 18? Shelton was a while in OVW, and was at University and amateur wrestling before that. Hes been with the company for coming up to 3 years now.

Actually, I preferred what they did this week. I think the double shot last week was dumb. It was nice to see Edge preoccupied with Kane and the Cage and then Matt jumped him from nowhere. They couldnt really have Edge in the Cage and Matt on the outside, with Edge like your not so tough now and Matt starts to scale the cage, cause since they are trying to lead us to believe its a shoot, security should have him down by the time he could even start to climb the cage. And if he were to get into the cage, then what? He cant escape and run out on Edge. I think they are expecting us to forget about that. Kane was a kayfabed fling, so that wouldnt piss Matt off. Edges isnt. Matt lost to Kane in the wrestling world. Besides, its the enemy of my enemy is my friend. I would have no problem what-so-ever if hes the driver, and stops outside the building to start beating up Edge or is in the back waiting for him. This has got to be in, land some punches and out. Nothing more. Would detract alot from it otherwise.

I dont see how that would have worked. RAW is already low on talent. They needed Haas more than SD needed Shelton. Why does everybody have to go to SD? HHH should be kept far away from the WWE Championship. Last time I checked, Cena was WWE Champion, so how can he get a shot at it. The other guys are obviously ahead of Shelton. I said Shelton should be in the ME and not win the bloody thing. There are a number of ways they can build up Angle/Shelton. People would just like to see it, is that ok? Id like Angle/Striker too, but how are they going to justify it given 4 weeks to SS? Oooo, wow, look at my shiney new belt. Thats the whole point of it. But you add prestige to yourself and the title by defending it as much as you can. Winning it is only the beginning. Shelton did nothing with it. Like I said in the RAw thread, I have to think he's legit fucking up...I know had I taken a fall like he did a few weeks ago, I might be a little hessitant to hit all these spots too, and yet he still goes for them. So maybe it's a conscience thing. Because I can't imagine anyone "working it" to that extent...because he could really, really, get hurt trying that. edit- Also look at the ropes everytime he stood on them last night..they were loose as hell. That doesn't explain his slip on the steps though...but yea, that may have had something to do with it. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Am I the only here that thinks that this is like the Randy concussed angle they were thinking of doing at the beginning of they year?

It's definately not his last match. Meltz reported there are relatively concrete plans for Austin/Hogan at Mania already, and I'm surprised this hasnt been reported much around, but Hogan has apparently signed a 20 year contract with WWE now. Not sure what that all entails, as its probably more like the merchandising contract alot of the legends are doing, but on top of it I'm sure it's a certain amount of appearances/matches each year too. Also on top of that, the rumor is (and this came from Hogan himself so take it with a grain of salt) that Vince gave Hogan complete creative control with the contract as well??? So yeah this is far from his last match, in fact I bet him and Michaels will have another match down the road again too after SummerSlam. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> O great, this just gets better and better. Isnt Hogan like 90 and falling to bits? What can a 110 year old invalid do to add to the product? And isnt Austins neck busted beyond wrestling? First match announced for WMXX2 and it already blows. I wanted to see this in 1997 (and Hogan was already downhill then), not 10 years later. Dammit, if Austin can work a match with Hogan, Vince can get in the ring and let Bret kick his ass all around Chicago. Jesus, they just got Bret's contract, tipexed his name out and gave it to Hogan. Its the exact same combined deal, the 1 which Vince backed out of twice.

I agree with you Lushus. Bit late for that now. And why squash your IC Champ (I know hes lame, but still) and Edge (who is supposedly in a big programme right now) just to feed them to Shelton? They could have had Shelton in Striker/Martels postion, with Angle cheating to win. Just have RAW in Sheltons hometown the 1st week, cheating to win, and Shelton coming out the next week saying that he doesnt care where hes from, he wants a rematch with Angle. Angle plays the cowardly heel and backs out of it . . . I love the Ladder Match idea. Angle has my idea of what a Ladder Match should be. Incapacitate your opponent and climb the ladder, dont do stupid shit with it. Leave that to Benjamin. And Benjamin is up over HHH already so HHH automatically has beef with Shelton. Damn Mike, when were you allowed back in? My sentiments exactly regarding Shelton. Yes, would have been gold. Could you imagine an Angle-Shelton-Haas Tripe Threat for Angles Medals or Sheltons IC title.

Considering that Flair was penciled in to go babyface against HHH like right now, and lead to a SummerSlam match (which of course HHH nixed by "taking time off") I'd say that they stilll are going to do that here when HHH and Flair returns but just slow build it more. With that said, I expect HHH and Flair to show up at SummerSlam and cost Hogan the match when they help Michaels beat him. From there, you have Piper returning on TV to actually team up with Hogan in the storyline against HHH, Flair, and Michaels (Piper would still be pissed at Michaels kicking him). Incorporate Angle into the mix as well in due time, as well as a Flair face turn soon after HHH and Flair returning, so you would have an interesting deal of HHH/Angle/HBK v. Hogan/Flair/Piper, possibly for Survivor Series or if you wanted to rush it, Unforgiven? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> O god, it gets worse.

Exactly, relatively speaking Matt won the match but Daniels went over. Maybe it is mission accomplished after all. RoH didnt job out their talent and Matt still got the victory. This would never happen on WWE TV though.
-
Interesting question. I dont think so, but Im not sure.

This is news to me. I thought Austin couldnt wrestle any more. At least Michaels can still go of sorts.

I actually prefer Cena's ringwork over CCC, which is saying something. That's just it though, he's not being jobbed out. He hasn't really 'lost' a match to Carlito yet. Each and every time they've faced since his arrival on RAW, Carlito has had to cheat somehow to beat Shelton. It's just Old School Heel. It's obvious, the way they're portraying it, Shelton can evidently beat Carlito. In most of thematches, it's Shelton who has the upper hand and it's Shelton who's kicking ass (barring almost fucking himself up a few times, and then getting beat or something after that) until Carlito cheats somehow to end the match. So IMO it's not so much as him being jobbed out. I also think Shelton will win the title back cleanly at SS. I could be wrong, but that's what I'm guessing. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> What is the point of Shelton becoming IC Champ again? He did nothing with the belt when he held it the 1st time. That championships a curse I tell you. I think Shelton needs to be pushed to the ME and soon.
-
I cant see either how people say that SD is being jobbed out. RAW got Angle, Cena, CCC, TBS and RVD. Doing nothing, ok, ok, nothing and injured. Look at the heel side of the locker room for the lumberjack match, look how thin it is. The face side was Shelton, TBS, Big Vis, Val Venis, Tajiri and the Superheros. Thats the undercard and midcard. Great. Were going to get CCC-Shelton at SummerSlam, title can change hands on a Countout, DQ, etc... Thats RAWs side of the card down. The Tag Titles and Womens Championship are a joke. Is there like a rule which states that you must defend your title every 30 days? When did Trish last defend hers. Hell, I would have preferred if Christy would have won it. I hate it when they have to drop an angle cause s/hes injured and job out the title, but at least the title is still defended. Rosey didnt even bother to come out with his Tag Strap.

Ahhh yes, the 1st 6 side of steel match and XXX had to split up after it right.
-
Why thank you.
-
Was that aimed at me? On 2nd thoughts, it makes whoever gets pinned after 1 Twist of Fate look real week now IMHO. The Matt-Daniels match wasnt a huge match for a title, hence IMHO the ending was overkill.

Kodi on RAW (forgot his name, the guy who swtiched with Patrick) and Patrick on SD.

Np. Glad you got it. I dont think it needs a strong storyline. Just a fued to see who is the better man. Id just induct Regal into the Cabinet as Foreign Secretary to add a bit of spice to it, but it doesnt lead to the Cabinet getting involved left, right and centre. Gives Regal an automatic tag team partner in OJ (which wouldnt be a bad thing for OJ). If your going to use it as an opener in a regular match, it has to be given time as the opener on SummerSlam, have the USC change hands at No Mercy and the blowoff at Survivour Series in a Submissions match. Iron Man matches are too scripted (apart from the fact that well never get what your asking for and Im just trying to be a bit more realistic).
-
I think he means that it was a carbon copy of last weeks and yes it was, since 3 of the matches involved the same participants.
-
No it wasnt sad. That chick is famous now. Why is he going to die. Dammit. I sincerely hope not. Depends what he sold and how much. All they need to do now is get rid of Michaels and Vince and were back in business baby.
-
This one really caught me. That seems way too old for a guy just debuting. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yes, it does seem so. Wasnt he on TE though? Davairi was surprising. I thought TBS was a bit older. I was surprised at how old Bob Holly, Ivory and Chavo are. Damn, Stephs only 28. Shes not that much older than me. Damn, I am still in the game.
-
First of all I think that its sad that Tomko is your favourite. What do you do at his fan club meetings? Must be pretty lonely. Anyway, each to his own. Hes going to be CCC's new big backup. Other than that its a pink slip. That could work. Idk if Tomko has the mic skills though and i think they might be lost in the shuffle. I think Kid Kash would be a better tag team (similar to Kash and Hoyt) i think tomko needs to go face though. There are fueds with Snitsky and masters initiall and more to go with <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Would anybody care whether hes a face or a heel given his current status? Problem Solver for hire is the best hell ever get. Show JBL on SD bump into Christain and have him say I just sold my old office to your ex Problem Solver. I overcharged him too. Have Christain then say WHO? and look puzzled.
-
The question we all have to ask is this: Is this Hogan's last singles match in the WWE? (I had a feeling it was pretty lame for his last match to be a tag match). If the answere to that question is yes it is, then we all know who is going out on top. That would 'kill' Hulkamania, but would they do that to their biggest star of all time? Ill puke for sure. That would be pretty cool, I recall someone else proposing a "new horsemen" with Flair, HHH, Michaels and Angle. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Wouldnt that be Evo 2? A 4 Horsemen with that line-up is just ghey on so many levels. If anything, HHH, CW Anderson and Nick Dinsemore. Ill tell you the 4th member when I think of him. David Flair perhaps?

All I can say is thank god for Ed Ferrera.

Edge's "rise to the top": Kane, Hardy, Lita, etc..
zyn081 replied to Downhome's topic in The WWE Folder
Well you can't really blame the "marks" for that, since WWE presents the women as nothing more than TnA anyway. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I dont. I was just trying to explain why the WWE do it. They think that marks are just after TnA, hence so much of it. Funny you say that Lushus, I was getting a similar feeling to. -
Yes, but surely by making Daniels look strong, that makes Hardy look weak. Its like Kane kicking out of 3 Spears and a briefcase shot. Edge would look real week. Tenacious it may make Matt look. Still looks weak too though IMHO.
