Smackdown Spoilers for June 6th 2008
Australian Pride replied to The Truthiness's topic in The WWE Folder
I hope they are not setting up a Finlay/Hornswoggle tag title run with that Miz/Morrison interaction. -
William Regal Suspended for 60 Days
Australian Pride replied to PILLS! PILLS! PILLS!'s topic in The WWE Folder
I don't know, he came back from a serious upper body injury in 3 months, looking the same as he did pre-injury. That's pretty damn hard to do without some 'assistance'. -
You've got to love the WWE Universe, where a guy can lose a mid-card match on PPV and get a World Title Shot only days later.
-
Am I the only one who read this and thought 'he's gone home to kill his family'? Tasteless I know, but was the first thing popped into my head.
-
Where HHHate has made a major comeback
-
Easy choice - Jericho Besides the fact I'm bored with the IWC 'he's getting buried' whining in relation to Punk, I just Jericho is much better on the mic and a cut above as an all around performer. Punk may get there, but it's too early to tell. Jericho already has a list of accomplishments almost anybody would be proud of.
-
Chavo, quite easily. Very adaptable, works well against all types, carries himself well in segments and promos. Still haven't worked out why people cream themselves so much over mighty midgets Kendrick and London, who seem to have no personality nor mic ability.
-
I know they wrestled once in 2001, and disappointed the hell out of most people, but I'd love a full-on Matt Hardy vs Jeff Hardy match. Maybe a ladder match with the US or IC belt on the line.
-
I think BG and Kip may surprise in their match. A lot of shortcuts can be taken in the cage environment, and if they sell it like there's genuine hatred there it could be something.
-
It was explained on Raw at one point that it only applies to singles matches. I think it was on Raw 15 show when he was teaming with HHH/Batista that JR made a special point of saying it.
-
Not that the WWE Tag belts mean that much these days, but having DX kill the (champion) Spirit Squad over and over again, sometimes in 2-on-5 situations, certainly put the belts in the gutter. Throw a question out there - Has Jeff Hardy's recent push helped or hindered the IC belt? He hasn't defended it on PPV for several months, and if he continues to hold it he probably won't at NWO (Elimination Chamber) or WM (Money in the bank likely) this year. Now, his profile has been raised no end, but it's not from thrilling title defenses, and even arguably his high points (pinning HHH, cage match against Umaga) were non-title from memory. While Jeff has looked great, the belt is viewed as a bit of an afterthought, and while it shouldn't be veiwed as equal to the World belt, having the holder only care about the World belt hurts it quite a bit IMO.
-
Booking 101; When a Champion becomes a former champion because his belt was stolen from him, the new former wants revenage and his title back. You would also assume he would have the 'automatic rematch' clause and has an interest in using it.

He was Euro and World. -
I can't imagine a Cole/Coach commentary pairing being much good. Cole needs someone with actual wrestling knowledge next to him IMO. While I like Coach, he does not fit the bill.

Is it safe to assume they also haven't invited Randy Savage? Of course if they have, and he attends, I'll mark out like a little bitch. Hell, I'll take something pre-taped from Savage. -

Australian Pride replied to HollywoodSpikeJenkins's topic in The WWE Folder
MVP vs Kane is one of the most overdone matches in recent memory. They'd be up to double figures for televised matches by now, wouldn't they? -
Are you insane? King Booker character was awesome as well as his stint with Goldust and his fued with Benoit in WCW Having an opinion hardly makes me insane. You like something, I don't. If everyone liked the same things it would get pretty boring in the world, wouldn't it? I liked his stint with Goldust, I only said I didn't see much in him during his singles runs and that was a tagteam. I wasn't a big WCW watcher and have never bothered to seek out his Benoit matches. All I say of him from his WCW singles run were some matches with Bret Hart and Scott Steiner, and later when he was in the World title mix with Jarrett. None of it really boiled my potatoes.

WWE General Discussion - October 2007

, If Michelle was forced to adhere to this policy she would have a show with only her, and possibly Pat Patterson. I don't follow the rumour mill, who is Michelle banging? -
I shant stand for this besmirching of King Bookah's good name. How can you NOT like that character, possibly the best King of the Ring gimmick since Owen Hart. His mannerisms, voice and obscenely long entrance were a major turn-off for me. Sharmell didn't help with the overly annoying 'all hail King Booker' thing.
-
Good riddance I say. I hated both their characters, and I've never really seen what the fuss was about with Booker for the bulk of his singles career. And for once a name talent leaves WWE and I DONT want them to go to TNA.
-
Because Vince has such a great record running ventures outside wrestling.
-
Matt Hardy made his own 'reality' show. The Undertaker is about as far removed from reality as you can get.
-
I'm not surprised TNA have no interest in him. They probably have enough backstage tension whenever Russo and Cornette are around each other, imagine if they added Heyman to the mix. Still, love to be a fly on the wall if they ever did.

WWE General Discussion - September 2007

Regal's book is a belter. Unlike some other current WWE stars who have written bios (coughHBKcough) he has an interesting tale to tell and actually takes responsibility for his actions.
